Trump Tower -- the place Donald Trump calls home and work -- is being protected by a line of dump trucks all filled with sand ... and the endgame is to prevent terrorist attacks.
NYC Dept. of Sanitation vehicles showed up early Tuesday, forming a barrier to minimize an attack with explosive devices ... law enforcement tells TMZ.
A Dept. of Sanitation spokesperson tells us they've also got trucks set up at The Peninsula Hotel, Hilton Hotel and Javits Center for the same purpose.

If you want a good indication on how the election is going, check the Dow Jones Averages at 3:45 pm EST. By then the big brokers will have learned the results of the network exit polls. If the market dives, the a big change is coming which means Trump is winning.

Sounds like a smart move to me. Got no problem with this preventative measure.
Sad comment on the country and the city. I remember going to the 1984 Reagan Election party at a hotel in NYC and there wasn’t anything like this.

Back in 2012, I and my wife’s niece were in New York and took in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.
In front of the theater I noticed extra heavy security checking everyone, and looking under cars for bombs. I mentioned it to the ticket counter salesman. He said there was nothing to worry about it was just random. Yeah sure!
During the intermission my niece called to me (we had the nosebleed section) to look over the railing! There was DONALD TRUMP and his entourage!
No wonder there was so much security that night! GO DONALD!
They did this when W spoke in Valley Forge during his race, except they used snow plows.

Calm down. Aside from the inflammatory headline, the article points out something interesting: they are doing the same thing at other places where post-election crowds will be gathered.
Including Hillary Clinton's location (the convention center).
As you may remember, there was chatter reported among Islamic extremists, possibly portending an attack. This seems like a smart precaution.
This is not a bad move.
I went to an outdoor Trump rally in Delaware in April, and the same thing, all behind where Trump would be speaking were trucks filled with sand, barricading the podium from the rear, so that nothing could get to him to harm him.
I learned from some of the authorities there that this is a standard way of protection.
I had a similar experience at an AZ Diamondbacks game last season. At one of the games I attended there were far more uniformed LEOs and A LOT of extra ballpark personnel. They even had several men standing on the field along the foul line between innings.
They are probably anticipating rioting, judging from the reaction to Trump when he voted this morning. People are angry at him in his NYC neighborhood.
They are doing the same thing at Hillary’s place, only the trucks are empty..............
