RUSH: Hillary Clinton, by the way, speaking of which, folks, try to imagine that you're in politics or you have some national identity. You're in a business that part of it you have a national identity, you're a known national figure. Your reputation's in tatters, where are you gonna go to fix it? What would you do? Just think of things off the top of your head? What would you do to try to fix it, if it were required that you do it? In order for you to succeed in this particular business you've got to somehow turn around...

The ever-growing proof of an anti-Israel prejudice at The New York Times (NYT) is so extensive and persistent that the paper’s partiality is now undeniable (see this endless archive of bias reports). […] On September 10th, the NYT singled out Jewish lawmakers on the Iran deal. On September 15th, the NYT suggested that the Israeli who was murdered by rock-throwing Palestinians had died of a “self-inflicted accident” after the attackers had merely “pelted the road” (rather than his car). The National Review provided a detailed critique of this farcical “reporting.” […] On September 29, (Diaa) Hadid used an anonymous European...

26 year-old gunman Chris Harper Mercer opened fire on the campus on Thursday, killing nine people and wounding seven. Mercer reportedly singled out Christians for death by asking the religion of potential victims before firing on them. Mercer was then shot and killed by law enforcement. In a series of tweets on October 2, Woods argued that because the victims were Christian, both resident Obama and the media would lose interest in the story. "NY Times writes a front page story about a hate massacre targeting Christians without using the word 'Christians,'" Woods tweeted, linking to story in the New...

Senators are calling on President Obama to clarify his strategy on Syria, after Russia ignored repeated U.S. warnings and began bombing rebel groups there this week to shore up the Assad regime. -snip- Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), one of the administration's biggest foreign policy critics, called on the administration to take stronger measures. "We should establish no-fly zones in Syria and make it clear that any aircraft that enters those zones will be shot down,” he said.

The Fox News report that the Teamsters have decided not to endorse Hillary Clinton’s candidacy at this time, shortly after her pronouncement of her opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline, does not surprise and shows the peril of trying to be all things to all constituencies. On the one hand, there is a need to placate environmentalists and climate change true believers who oppose the pipeline from Canada. Among them is billionaire Tom Steyer, an eco-zealot who has pledged his fortune in support of Democratic candidates who want to repeal the Industrial Revolution who want us to rely on solar...

Calling the latest school shooting in southwest Oregon a “terrible, heartbreaking” tragedy, Gov. Andrew Cuomo is once again pushing the federal government to enact stricter gun control laws. “The shooting earlier today at Umpqua Community College is the latest in a series of terrible, heartbreaking tragedies resulting from gun violence. … No one should suffer the pain of losing someone they love to gun violence, although it happens all too often,” Cuomo said in a statement, offering his condolences to the families of the reported 13 killed and 20 injured after a gunman opened fire at a community college earlier...

Just thought it interesting, and potentially very important for those living on the east coast, to point out how different the predicted path for this major hurricane is between these two major weather sources (Weather Channel and AccuWeather), at least as of the moment: Fri, Oct 02, 2015 @ 5:30AM EDT. AccuWeather appears to have it *several hundred miles* more west than does The Weather Channel. Perhaps the predictions are based on different computer models. The first map below is from AccuWeather. The second, The Weather Channel.

Construction on the Bayonne Bridge "Raise the Roadway" project has been set back by two years and won't be completed until mid-2019, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced today. The delay is due to "numerous challenges," the Port Authority said, including: the harsh winter of 2014 to 2015; changes in project staging to address community concerns and reduce construction impacts overnight; modifications to the existing steel arch to ensure safety and allow traffic to continue during construction; as well as steel reinforcement activities requiring additional repairs. The $1.3 billion "Raise the Roadway" project, which began in...

Donald Trump's number one qualification is that he is not a politician. He reminds us everyday and it's true. People may not like what he has to say or how he says it, but America needs Donald Trump. He and Ted Cruz have a similar plan to simplify the tax code, secure the border and make America an economic engine of the world. The two can unite the Tea Party movement and Trump alone can appeal to Democrat voters to beat Hillary Clinton. Recent polls have shown Trump appealing to voters of all stripes. Trump also has a tough foreign...

Donald Trump made a completely uncensored remark about the friendship between Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio, his rivals for the Republican presidential nomination. Read: Donald Trump Ends Fox News Boycott, Now Goes to War With 'Forbes' He said at a campaign stop in New Hampshire: “Its political bull****. They hate each other. Trust me, I know.”

Hillary Rodham Clinton’s upcoming appearance before the U.S. House Select Committee on Benghazi was supposed to be a crucible: a chance for Republicans to prosecute the former secretary of state for her handling of the 2012 terrorist attacks that killed four Americans as well as for her use of a private e-mail server. Instead, it may have turned into a political gift for Clinton following this week’s suggestion by the likely next House speaker, Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), that the taxpayer-funded Benghazi investigation was politically motivated. Clinton’s allies say his comments will help recast Clinton’s scheduled Oct. 22 hearing...

Fox News Legal Analyst Predicts FBI Will Recommend Hillary Clinton be Indicted for National Security Crimes **SNIP** Speaking to potential legal action, Napolitano added: “I think that the FBI will recommend to the Justice Department that she be indicted.” IJ spoke to Tom Fitton, President of the conservative watchdog organization Judicial Watch, who said that while he couldn’t speak to the charges of perjury: “There’s no doubt [Clinton’s] statement was not accurate.” At some point, it will be up to the judge to decide if Clinton perjured herself, or if her alleged lack of knowledge precludes her from such a...

RUSH: It is October 1st, and all week long the Drive-By Media and the inside-the-Beltway establishment have been on this roller coaster regarding Trump. Maybe even a little bit into last week. But before that, it is October 1st. A lot of them thought he was gonna be gone by now. And many of them -- and I'm including Republicans in this. Republican media types, conservative media types, elected officials, the entire Inside Washington establishment. And you know why they thought Trump would be gone? They thought he would self-destruct. They thought everything he's doing would finally come home to...

An anti-Islam group has called on "patriots" to hold demonstrations in front of mosques across the country in October. Responding to the call, protests organized under the name "Global Rally For Humanity" have already been scheduled for Oct. 9 and 10 in at least 20 locations, including Charleston, South Carolina; Atlanta; Dearborn, Michigan; and Phoenix, Imagine 2050 reported Tuesday. Some of the organizers have encouraged demonstrators to leave their weapons at home, while others have encouraged participants to utilize their right to bear arms, the website said. “As this invasion of Muslim colonization continues unchecked on American soil, we can...

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell says the Republican Party has shifted much further right than the rest of the country — and GOP leaders must get its fringe members in line. During an appearance at the Washington Ideas Forum on Wednesday, Powell said it “should be obvious to party leaders that they cannot keep saying and doing the things that they were doing and hope to be successful in national-level election in the future, not just in 2016.”

There was Hillary Clinton, telling Al Sharpton of all people that she found Kevin McCarthy's comments about the Benghazi hearings "deeply distressing." That was too much for the Morning Joe panel, which just had to laugh. As John Heilemann put it, far from being distressed, Hillary surely sees McCarthy's comments—implying a political motive behind the hearings—as a Christmas and birthday gift wrapped into one that sent her "skipping through the park.
