  • Bush's $4.8 Million Ad Blitz In N.H. Has Had No Effect On His Polling

The $4.8 million TV and radio ad blitz in New Hampshire by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and his associated super Pacs has done little to bump up his polling in the state, which is considered crucial to his campaign. A report by Politico Thursday notes that in the weeks since the ad buy -- which has pro-Bush ads taking up 60 percent of the political airspace in the state -- the former governor's average poll numbers have actually dipped down, from 9 percent to 8.7 percent.
  • Jeb Bush lands key endorsement in New Hampshire

Portsmouth, New Hampshire (CNN). Jeb Bush scored a key New Hampshire endorsement Wednesday, picking up the support of State Senate President Chuck Morse, who will serve as a state co-chair. Morse, who has lead the New Hampshire Senate since 2013, is the state's highest-ranking Republican elected official to make an endorsement this presidential election cycle.

The debate was everything we expected — and less. Nobody was willing to take on Clinton’s biggest weaknesses, and so Hillary didn’t have to get down in the dirt with the plebes — where she would have lost. Anderson Cooper had his thumb on the scale for Clinton like Candy Crowley with her entire self on the scale for Obama in 2012. The pundits can claim “X had a good night because of Y,” but none of that matters because nobody drew blood on Clinton. She’ll take a hit in Iowa, get creamed in New Hampshire — then come back...

CONWAY — South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham hopes history will repeat itself in the Granite State. Graham, one of 16 presidential candidates seeking to become the Republican Party's nominee next year, is taking a page out of his good friend Sen. John McCain's (R-Ariz.) campaign playbook by trying to connect with as many New Hampshire residents as possible. The three-term U.S. senator plans to hold more than 100 town hall meetings in the state, and as part of 12-day swing through New Hamphire will spend much of Wednesday in Conway. A town hall meeting is scheduled for 6:20 p.m. at...

RUSH: You know the No Labels group? The No Labels group is basically a bunch of Republican liberals. They are Republicans who don't like conservatives, and they don't want to be associated with conservatism. They want to be seen as intellectually elite, scholarly, superior, and they love being thought of as moderates. You know why? 'Cause moderates, independents, that's another thing that's happened in our political culture. Those people have acquired the reputation of open-minded, which is intelligent. Like those of us who are wedded to our causes 'cause we really believe -- we're small-minded, closed-minded, we're not open to...

GOP frontrunner Donald Trump took up for the Tea Party to a Left-leaning crowd at the No Labels Convention in New Hampshire Monday morning.“I love the Tea Party,” Trump responded when an audience member asked about his thoughts on the Tea Party and the House Freedom Caucus, as well as the possibility of a government shutdown over defunding Planned Parenthood.“These are people in all fairness, these are people that love this country. They do love this country and they want the country to be great,” Trump defended. “They don’t want Planned Parenthood funded… I understand that.”The crowd booed, but Trump...

The latest New Hampshire poll shows a far more engaged electorate continuing to be a thorn in the side of the 2015/16 GOPe scheme to anoint Jeb Bush. In addition, the ruse candidates, Fiorina and Rubio have exhausted their media-fueled surge and remain static alongside Jeb Bush at 8%.John Kasich’s ground game and almost exclusive attention to New Hampshire has garnered him a position just above Jeb, Carly and Marco. NASHUA, N.H. — Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) came to a convention of libertarian-leaning Republicans and talked about shrinking government, slashing regulations, fighting against the bulk collection of phone data and his great affinity for a rival in the presidential race. “I love Rand Paul,” Cruz said. Paul, Kentucky’s junior U.S. senator and scion of one of America’s most famous libertarian families, was fully expected to lock down the support of libertarian voters in the presidential election. But as Paul’s poll numbers have sagged nationally — and in such libertarian-minded places as New Hampshire — Cruz is trying to pick off...

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign on Wednesday announced that it has named a chairman in all 171 counties that comprise the first four early states – 99 Iowa counties, 10 New Hampshire counties, 46 South Carolina counties, and 16 Nevada counties. “The only way we will turn our country around is through a grassroots uprising of the American people, and I’m grateful for the many courageous conservatives in the early states who have stepped forward to lead that grassroots movement,” Cruz said. “I’ve always known we would have a great organization, but having a leader the 171 counties that...

Senator Ted Cruz of Texas got an early start to the 2016 presidential campaign in March by being the first of what would become a vast field to announce his candidacy. Now, he has turned that starting advantage into a sprawling ground game. For every county in the first four voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada, the Cruz campaign has locked down county chairs in charge of not just lending their names to the campaign, but of spearheading outreach and organizing efforts. “The only way we will turn our country around is through a grass-roots uprising...

Donald Trump still leads the Republican pack in the two first two states in the presidential nominating contest, though Ben Carson is on his heels in Iowa and Carly Fiorina is close behind in New Hampshire. New NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist polls out Sunday morning show Trump up in Iowa, with 24% support to Carson's 19%. Fiorina is third at 8%, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 7%, and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal at 6% each, according to the poll. In New Hampshire, Trump remains in first place with 21% support...

Wednesday night I wasn’t surprised as candidate Donald Trump, in keeping within his narcissistic, xenophobic character, told an overflow crowd at Keene High School that if he became president he would send all Syrian refugees who had been given sanctuary in the United States, home: “I’m putting (refugees) on notice that are coming here from Syria as part of this mass migration that if I win, they’re going back,” he said. However, what both surprised and disappointed me was the boisterous affirmative response to Trump — cheers and hurrahs from the crowd, presumably mostly New Hampshirites, in support of Trump’s...

I never expected to write these words, but I miss Mitt Romney. Last Wednesday, the day the front-runner for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination was in New Hampshire alleging that Syrian refugees fleeing for their lives may actually be clandestine terrorists, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee was in Washington, talking sense. "Donald Trump will not be the nominee," Romney told a group of business-school students at Georgetown University. And why won't Trump, who when he isn't besmirching Syrian refugees as terrorists is maligning Mexican immigrants as rapists, get the nod? Because, Romney said, "when all is said and done, the...
