GOP frontrunner Donald Trump took up for the Tea Party to a Left-leaning crowd at the No Labels Convention in New Hampshire Monday morning.
“I love the Tea Party,” Trump responded when an audience member asked about his thoughts on the Tea Party and the House Freedom Caucus, as well as the possibility of a government shutdown over defunding Planned Parenthood.
“These are people in all fairness, these are people that love this country. They do love this country and they want the country to be great,” Trump defended. “They don’t want Planned Parenthood funded… I understand that.”
The crowd booed, but Trump didn’t budge. He said he agreed with the Tea Party.

Trump just keeps sounding better and better.
He should have asked them, “Do you feel Taxed Enough Already?” That is what the true TEA Party stands for.
Amazingly, Trump has a better political instinct than most everyone running and most in office. He is inviting in everybody to join. Compare this with the decrepit RNC and establishment culture who ostracizes everyone - conservatives, libertarians, Ron Paul fans, etc - all who are looking for a home.
Leftist hate labels because they accurately define them. Much harder to lie to voters if you actually come out and admit you are a group of Socialist wanna bees.
Exactly right, Trump is doing what Rand Paul hoped to do, but...he’s Rand Paul. The Reagan Coalition will rise again!

Was it planned that he would talk to a “left leaning crowd?”
I was not a Trump supporter. However, the more I read the exact words that come out of his mouth, the more I like him. Now, if he were to actually do what he says he will do, I will support him to the end.
No Labels is a well-known Lefty group. He couldn’t have been there by accident.
A crowd booing defunding Planned Barrenhood ? Ghouls.
When I met Trump last year he was excited when I told him I was the head of the TEA Party in the Buffalo NY area.
He said, “Your TEA Party? I love you guys” he shook my hand and we talked for 10 minutes about our group and the issues we were focused on in NY.
In his speech to over 400 people he acknowledged me and the local TEA Party said I love the TEA Party again and spoke very highly about all of us.
“No Labels” but of course they are flaming liberals.
Also beware of the term “unity” which usually means a left wing agenda.
When the left sticks together its “solidarity”
When the right sticks together its “partisanship”.
Who is more likely than Trump to do the things he says? The rest of the wimps leave themselves space to maneuver on just about every issue. And that includes the conservative fave.
