A house and pawn shop raid by federal authorities in Baton Rouge may have prevented a plan to assassinate police officers. On Thursday, 5 police officers in Dallas were shot making it the deadliest day for law enforcement since 9/11. The five officers, Brent Thompson, Patrick Zamarripa, Michael Krol, Lorne Ahrens and Michael Smith all had distinguished careers before joining the Dallas police department. Jose Hernandez,15, was arraigned in East Boston Municipal Court on Monday, charged with the stabbing and beating death of 18-year-old Blanca Lainez, whose body was found by construction workers on June 15. Hernandez, who did not appear in court, was denied bail. Assistant District Attorney John Verner said the break in the case came on June 30, when Hernandez was arrested for carrying a 9.75-inch knife. Detectives took his fingerprints, and found a match from a between his prints and a palm print found at the murder scene.

And it is hard to tell whether he was, or not, by the videos I have seen. But what I don't understand is why did it get to the point that he was being combative with the cops?
