Three men were charged with murder Wednesday in the shooting death of an aide to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo last year in Brooklyn. The three men were identified as Micah Alleyne, 24, Tyshawn Crawford, 21, and Keith Luncheon, 24. The Brooklyn District Attorney’s office alleged that the three engaged in “mutual combat” during the early morning hours of Sept. 7, 2015. Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls said a family argument led to the shooting Friday evening at a home outside the Houston suburb of Fulshear. Christy Sheats, 42, convened the meeting in the living room of the home that was attended by her husband Jason Sheats, and her daughters, Taylor Sheats, 22, and Madison Sheats, 17, according to the sheriff's office. Donald Trump’s lawyer accused Hillary Clinton of murdering an ambassador and selling uranium to Russia through her “faux charity” in a post to Twitter Tuesday morning. Michael Cohen, executive vice president of the Trump Organization and special counsel to the Manhattan billionaire, tweeted that a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll shows Trump leading Clinton on the issue of national security and on the question of who voters find more “honest and straightforward.” Along with his message, Cohen attached a meme featuring a photo of Clinton that he wrote “says it all.”

Baltimore had the highest increase in homicides in the nation last year, a criminologist commissioned by the U.S. Department of Justice reported, with more than twice as many extra killings as the three cities that tied for second. A London-based advocacy group said Monday it documented 185 killings of environmental activists around the world last year, nearly 60 percent more than in 2014 and the highest since it began collecting data dating back to 2002. In a newly released report, Global Witness said Brazil topped the 16-country list with 50 environmental defenders slain in 2015, followed by the Philippines with 33 and Colombia with 26. A man who appeared in court charged with the murder of British Labour MP Jo Cox gave his name as “Death to traitors, freedom for Britain.” Mrs. Cox (41) died after being shot and stabbed in the street outside her constituency surgery in Birstall, near Leeds, on Thursday. Chicago police say they’re investigating the killing of a gang member who appears to have captured his own fatal shooting in a real-time video post on Facebook. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as 28-year-old Antonio Perkins. He was shot Wednesday in the North Lawndale neighborhood in Chicago.
