NEW YORK (AP) — MSNBC says it has hired former Fox News host Greta Van Susteren to host a daily, Washington-based news program at the dinner hour. Just like Tucker Carlson, who Fox named as Megyn Kelly’s prime-time replacement on Thursday, Van Susteren completes the cable news hat trick: hosting shows on CNN, Fox and MSNBC. Her show will air at 6 p.m. ET.

MSNBC’s hosts have a tax problem. A Heat Street review of public records show that a total of six current, prominent MSNBC pundits have recently settled federal or state tax liens, while one still has tax problems. Moreover, at least two other hosts who recently left the network have also had massive tax liens filed against them. MSNBC declined to comment, and none of the current or former tax debtors responded to requests for interviews sent through an MSNBC spokesperson. The Rev. Al Sharpton — MSNBC’s Sunday morning host — easily comes in first place when it comes to “issues”...

Journalism, by definition, is simply presenting facts. But, for many current “journalists,” the job involves more than merely transferring information. This video from MSNBC shows just how inaccurate these so-called “news” networks can be. Steve Kornacki uses the network’s absurdly inaccurate polls to creates his own delusional narrative for the presidential election, getting EVERY prediction wrong! One thing is for sure. Nobody will ever consider this guy to be a prophet. In Biblical times, he’d be lying in a pit being pelted with rocks. Actually, these poor predictions were more of a team effort, than that of just one man....

After all that hullaballoo over at FNC, Greta Van Susteren is making a quick and sudden return to cable news. According to Mirror sources, she’s getting a 6 p.m. time slot on MSNBC. Van Susteren initially defended Roger Ailes after being accused of all that sexual harassment from ex-FNCer Gretchen Carlson that got him canned from the network. Van Susteren shockingly resigned from FNC in September. She had worked at the network for 14 years. The network didn’t let her say goodbye to her viewers. She didn’t exactly trash FNC, but she said the last several years hadn’t been a...

MSNBC host and NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell scored an exclusive interview on Wednesday afternoon with Secretary of State John Kerry following his speech blasting Israel and, not surprisingly, she served up softballs for Kerry up to attack Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The warm feelings were clear from the onset as Mitchell gushed over how Kerry’s 70-minute-plus remarks were “unusual” representing “an important moment” even though President-elect Donald Trump had been tweeting how he’s “very much disagreeing” with the Obama administration’s Israel policy and December 23 United Nations (UN) vote.

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow made the rounds on a few shows last week where she expressed her worry that a Trump administration will have a serious and negative impact on the profession of “journalism” -- it may "crumble" -- and it “just got different” under the incoming administration. Last week Maddow was on NBC's Late Night with host Seth Meyers, who asked her if liberals had any reasons to be optimistic about the new administration. Maddow hesitated before responding: “I have bright red shoes, which is very festive. … I have a family I love and nice dogs.” She did express...

It was the strangest of settings for some very serious breaking news. There was Mika Brzezinski, cuddled up in her flannels on Morning Joe‘s special Christmas set. In the previous segment, Joe Scarborough had grilled Sean Spicer, whom President-elect Trump yesterday named as his White House spokesman, over Trump’s tweet of yesterday in which he said that the US needed to greatly strengthen its nuclear arsenal. Spicer repeatedly refused to say that the Trump tweet came in response from a statement by Vladimir Putin, just hours earlier, announcing Russia’s intention to strengthen its own nuclear arsenal. When the show returned...

As written by and see first by The Hill: Kellyanne Conway, the newly named counselor to President-elect Donald Trump, defended him against concerns about his business interests Thursday, reviving the campaign’s criticism of the Clinton Foundation.[snip]

Democrats have a little Clinton problem Oh dear. It appears that at least some of the left-wing brain trust is getting sick of the excuses. Yesterday, we featured a Morning Joe panel that was clearly fed up with Hillary’s constant deflection. Now the dissatisfaction appears to be spreading. The Democrats ran a loser and at least some of them know it. They also seem to be aware that the Clintons’ less-than-gracious attitude isn’t doing the party any favors. Some of them are ready to move on and it appears they’re ready to consign Bill and Hillary to history’s scrap heap.

“If you love movies and or politics, it is sometimes impossible to watch these things and not hear the words of Aaron Sorkin about the hard work of the presidency, the real work of the presidency, the view from the cheap seats, his words, not the president’s,” Williams said. “This was a kind of fascinating walk through the mind and the presidency of Barack Obama among other things,” Williams continued.

"MSNBC is under pressure from [parent network] NBC to toe a Trump line and we need some alternative media out there," said Brock. "I know that there are hosts at MSNBC now who feel their jobs are at risk because the brass is for Trump." Asked if he has heard that directly from a host at MSNBC, Brock said, "One has, yeah. And I've heard of others."

Hillary Clinton’s campaign tried to remove an MSNBC personality from the air after she aired criticisms of the Democratic presidential candidate, the host revealed Friday. Mika Brzezinski, a co-host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” said NBC was pressured to get her pulled during the campaign. “I was concerned the campaign was not understanding that perhaps there was an arrogance. They needed to sort of get off their high horse and understand that this isn’t over,” Brzezinski said on her show Friday, recalling the criticism she expressed frequently during the campaign. “I’ll just say it: NBC got a call from the [Clinton]...

MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle falsely claimed on her show Friday morning that Fox News had its Christmas party at President-elect Donald Trump’s hotel in Washington, D.C. . . . “Think about the hotel in Washington right now. The RNC [Republican National Committee] is having their Christmas party there. Fox News had their Christmas party there. That doesn’t feel a little hanky?” Ruhle asked. . . . Ruhle issued an apology later in the day during the 2 p.m. broadcast of MSNBC Live explaining that her comment was wrong and she made a mistake

The phrase “Fake News” has exploded in usage since the election, but the term is similar to other malleable political labels such as “terrorism” and “hate speech”; because the phrase lacks any clear definition, it is essentially useless except as an instrument of propaganda and censorship. The most important fact to realize about this new term: those who most loudly denounce Fake News are typically those most aggressively disseminating it. One of the most egregious examples was the recent Washington Post article hyping a new anonymous group and its disgusting blacklist of supposedly pro-Russia news outlets – a shameful article...

WILLIAMS: ... fake news played a role in the election and continues to find a wide audience. A BuzzFeed news study of of Donald Trump's own tweets where they followed back news stories to their root source found more of them came from Breitbart originally than any other single source.

Typically, MSNBC isn’t a place you go to find a fair opinion about Donald Trump. They have made it pretty clear over there that they aren’t interested in defending Trump on anything. However, every once in awhile over at ‘Morning Joe’ we hear a voice of reason. Joe Scarborough could barely contain himself when he was remembering how Hillary Clinton bashed Trump over his comments about respecting the election results. She ran around for weeks warning us about how Trump would never accept defeat and how silly he was for talking about voter fraud. Now she’s doing exactly what she...

CNN and others, QUIT telling our leaders who to denounce or silence, etc. because we didn't vote for these people so YOU could tell them what to do and negate the results of the election. We voted to get something done about illegal immigration and their involvement and voting in our elections, which is something no other country would tolerate, not soft pedal it. We voted for a ban on muslim immigration and severe restrictions on what they can do while living here and the influence they can have (they hate us). We voted for fiscal responsibility. We voted for...

MSNBC's Katy Tur complains that Donald Trump may avoid the media to "spin the truth in his favor" "without the filter of the press." From a roundtable with MSNBC reporters Tamron Hall, Katy Tur and Kristen Welker Monday morning: KATY TUR, MSNBC: Donald Trump is going to try to do things his own way. We know he has already used Twitter to his advantage in that sense and try to get out his message without the filter of the press. That way Donald Twitter can say what he wants to say. Sometimes, spin the truth in his favor. TAMRON HALL,...
