Sweden and Germany are funding two orphanages in Morocco in the hope of easing the problem of homeless Moroccan ‘street children’, many of whom have joined criminal gangs. “Now in its first stage, this is a pilot project which will provide a total of 200 beds. The idea is that in future, we will build more of these centres [in Morocco]”, Swedish Interior Minister Anders Ygeman told Dagens Nyheter. The first orphanages are expected to be ready in the Spring, and will provide access to medical and psychiatric care along with education and training for jobs. Staff, who will be...

More than 350 migrants stormed the border between Morocco and Spain at Ceuta on Monday, officials said, days after one of the largest rush of arrivals over the frontier in more than a decade. The young migrants forced their way through the high border fence into the Spanish North African territory, ecstatic to have finally crossed into a European Union state. […] Ceuta and Melilla, also a Spanish territory in North Africa, have the EU’s only land borders with Africa, so are entry points for migrants who either climb the border fence, swim along the coast or hide in vehicles....

A for-profit university that paid former president Bill Clinton more than $17.6 million for his role as its “honorary chancellor” utilized access to Clinton insiders at the Clinton Global Initiative to advance its financial interests, leaked documents reveal. Laureate International Universities — also referred to as Laureate Education — has faced scrutiny over its financial relationship with the Clintons, who have faced a string of pay-to-play allegations related to the Clinton Foundation and Hillary’s time as secretary of state. The organization has the financial backing of major Clinton donor George Soros and has donated between $1 million and $5 million...

Tailors and retailers across Morocco have reportedly been directed to stop the sale of burqas by the Interior Ministry, the Morocco World News reported. The ministry has issued notices to burqa producers and retailers urging them to cease making and/or selling the garment. They have been further instructed all related goods will be seized if the stock was not eliminated within 48 hours. Representatives of the Interior Ministry visited markets to inform both sellers and tailors to stop the production and sale of the burqa and hand-deliver the written notices. A picture currently being circulated on social media platforms, shows...

About 1,000 migrants have tried to force their way into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta bordering Morocco by storming a wired border fence. Local officials say dozens of security forces from both Spain and Morocco have been injured. Crowds of migrants approached the 6-meter-high barbed wire border fence early Sunday and tried to break into Ceuta in several places. The local officials called the attempt “well organized and violent,” local news outlets write. At least five Spanish officers have been injured as a result, Ceuta officials said. Two of the refugees have been allowed into the enclave for medical treatment....

A Moroccan security official says that his country's intelligence service warned Germany twice about the risk posed by Anis Amri, the radical Muslim who slaughtered 12 people at a Christmas market in Berlin earlier this month. The official, who spoke to Turkish newspaper Daily Sabah, says that the Germans received two written warnings, one on September 19 and the other on October 1, about Amri's radical Islamic beliefs. He explains: Correspondence from the Moroccan security agencies had a clear warning about the Tunisian man's desire to carry out a terrorist act. Earlier this month, Dutch populist Geert Wilders was criticized...

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Donald Trump is more than un-American, President Barack Obama charged here Friday: He’s almost inhuman. That’s not all: Trump’s running a racist campaign that black voters especially need to reject, Obama said. “Don’t choose fear. Choose hope,” Obama said, offering his closing argument for the final days of the campaign that’s a summoning of his own 2008 campaign and a rejection of Trump. “Don’t choose fear. Choose hope.” And Trump would only get worse if he made it to the Oval Office, Obama warned here in this state that Hillary Clinton’s campaign is hoping will go back...

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople, who holds a primacy of honor in Eastern Orthodoxy, has written a message to participants in COP22, the upcoming UN climate change conference in Morocco. Noting that such international meetings have been taking place for over two decades, the Ecumenical Patriarch wrote on November 3 that 22 years “is an unacceptably long period to respond to the environmental crisis, especially when we are conscious of its intimate and inseparable connections to global poverty, migration and unrest.” “Twenty-two years, moreover, is an unjustifiably interminable period to tackle the expansion of fossil fuels, when scientists inform us...

Hillary Clinton did two huge favors for Morocco during her tenure as secretary of state while the Clinton Foundation accepted up to $28 million in donations from the country’s ruler, King Mohammed VI, according to new information obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group. Clinton and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) chief Lisa Jackson tried to shut down the Florida-based Mosaic Company in 2011, operator of America’s largest phosphate mining facility. Jackson’s close ties and loyalty to the Clintons were revealed when she joined the Clinton Foundation’s board of directors in 2013, just months after she left the EPA....

At the debate, moderator Chris Wallace asked Hillary if the Clinton Foundation was making pay-for-play arrangements with foreign governments. But did the Clinton Foundation stick to political influence peddling, or were more sinister extortion games being played by the Hill & Bill tag team? Consider the case of King Mohammed VI whose Government apparently paid the Clinton Foundation $12 million in 2015 (according to Wikileaks emails). An excellent backgrounder on this scenario was written by Ed Henry of Fox News: Abedin implicated Clinton in foundation trade-off with Morocco amid $12 million commitment. Now the degree to which Hillary Clinton...

. . . then welched on her end of the deal when she thought it might look bad politically I guess this one falls under the highly overutilized heading of If-This-Was-Any-Other-Election-Year-This-Would-End-Her, but maybe there are some of you who still care about a candidate for president of the United States being this dirty. The upshot - and all of this comes via WikiLeaks (of course) from e-mails written personally by Huma Abedin, John Podesta and Robby Mook - is that Hillary took the initiative to personally approach the king of Morocco, offering to make a personal appearance at a special...

Clinton Foundation Took $12 Million From Corrupt Morocco Government: She 'Created This Mess,' Abedin Says In WikiLeaks Emails Fueling criticism that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton may have diplomatic conflicts of interest related to her private foundation, recent emails released by WikiLeaks show she expressed hesitation to attract more publicity to a $12 million Clinton Foundation charity meeting in Morocco—against her closest aides’ advice.

See Email at Post #1 Hillary Clinton engaged in pay for play at the State Dept. No rational person can really argue that at this point. A lot of people have been waiting for a “smoking gun” to be revealed by WikiLeaks. Even though that’s completely unnecessary. We know enough to know she did something really bad. But WikiLeaks may have just provided that smoking gun anyway. Just to give you some context, the condition upon which the Moroccans agreed to host the meeting was her participation. If hrc was not part if it, meeting was a non-starter. CGI also wasn't pushing for a meeting in Morocco and it wasn't their first choice. This was HRC's idea, our office approached the Moroccans and they 100 percent believe they are doing this at her request. The King has personally committed approx $12 million both for the endowment and to support the meeting....
