The tornado-devastated town of Moore, Okla., had complained in February about regulatory delays from state and federal agencies that were preventing it from getting money for its county-wide tornado shelter rebate program. "The city's safe room rebate program is still 'on hold,' with not a lot changed from our update of last May [2012]," a statement posted on the City of Moore website said. "Our county-wide Hazard Mitigation Plan still has not been approved by the state and FEMA [Federal Emergency Management Agency]... "There were changes to the federal requirements for this plan that occurred while our contractor was writing...

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: It took five minutes. Five minutes. It only took five minutes before the Democrat Party politicized the tornado in Oklahoma. They politicize everything, folks. They rub their hands together in glee when there is a natural disaster that they think they can spin in such a way as to advance their political agenda. If any of you doubt that global warming is a political issue and not a science issue, then you must open your mind and consider why in the world, ask yourself, why in the world, five minutes after the news hits of this horrible...

MOORE, Okla. (CBS Houston/AP) — Search and rescue crews worked through the night after a monstrous tornado barreled through the Oklahoma City suburbs, demolishing an elementary school and reducing homes to piles of splintered wood. At least 24 people were killed and and that number is expected to climb, officials said Tuesday.

So an interesting little note here. But hours before the storms rolled into Oklahoma, most cell phone service across the state, and specifically in Northeast Oklahoma was cut. No one could make any calls. Texting worked but no calls. Why would this happen BEFORE the storms? I know the government has the ability to turn the service off I am sure. Was this some sort of test to see if they could turn it off.. and during an emergency it was convenient?? So not as many people notice/blamed it on the storms.

No politics today. The state of Oklahoma has suffered another blow, courtesy of mother nature and the privilege of living in the middle of Tornado Alley. I watched yesterday as parts of Moore was torn apart. I wondered about my aunt and uncle, living just off I-35. They are okay, but their house did sustain damage. They are elderly and were unable to heed the warnings to flee from the path of the storm. They had no underground shelter, so they rode it out in the bathtub. I can also report that Charles Phipps, the news contributor to Political Realities...

The films of the EF-5(?) from yesterday are amazing, scary and gut-wrenching. TV crews have been up all night with rescue workers and first responders.

MOORE, Oklahoma - Several children have been pulled out of the rubble alive at a school in an Oklahoma City suburb. An Associated Press photographer saw several children being pulled out of what was left of the Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore, Okla., on Monday after a massive tornado hit the region. Rescue workers lifted children from the rubble before they were passed down a human chain and taken to a triage center set up in the school's parking lot.

Election enraged man who posted Facebook pic of son with rifle. After a bit of introductory warm-up about the police raid on a New Jersey gun owner to “check his guns,” philly.com gets to it: the slurs and innuendos contained in the Carneys Point police report (not provided thank you very much). According the po-po, “Shawn Moore [above] was ‘ranting and waiving,’ ‘aggressive’ and acting ‘arrogantly’ when he rushed home from the restaurant March 14 to find [the cops] there, asking to look at his firearms because of an anonymous call they had received about his children’s safety. Moore later...

The Klan's Favorite Law David B. Kopel|Feb. 15, 2005 12:00 am If you believe everything that Michael Moore says in Bowling for Columbine and his books, then you would think that "pro-gun" people are white racists, and that "gun control" would be a wonderful way to help minorities. But a look at America's past reveals what historian Clayton Cramer has accurately called "The Racist Roots of Gun Control." After the Civil War, the defeated Southern states aimed to preserve slavery in fact if not in law. The states enacted Black Codes which barred the black freedmen from exercising basic civil...

Michael Moore is an elitist gun control zealot, but he has (or at least in 2005) a body guard who carries a gun. Why? Because he’s safer that way. Filmmaker Michael Moore’s (search) bodyguard was arrested for carrying an unlicensed weapon in New York’s JFK airport Wednesday night. Police took Patrick Burke, who says Moore employs him, into custody after he declared he was carrying a firearm at a ticket counter. Burke is licensed to carry a firearm in Florida and California, but not in New York. Burke was taken to Queens central booking and could potentially be charged with...

Michael Moore: Killing Is ‘Who We Are’ As Americans By Patrick Burke December 17, 2012 (CNSNews.com) – Liberal activist-filmmaker Michael Moore says school shootings like the one at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. will continue – because “it’s who we are” as Americans. “I hate to say it, but killing is our way. We began America w/ genocide, then built it w/ slaves. The shootings will continue- it's who we are,” Moore tweeted on Sunday. Moore sent out several tweets regarding the school shooting between Friday and Sunday, at one point claiming the shooter “seemed to single out...

In his new movie, Fahrenheit 9/11, Michael Moore reviews the Bush administration’s publicly stated rationale for the war against terrorism in Afghanistan – it was part of the U.S. response to the attacks of September 11, 2001 – and then suggests that the real reason for the war was, at least in part, to enable Unocal to proceed with a natural gas pipeline project in Afghanistan and for other U.S. energy and oil-service companies to participate in various projects in that country. Unocal has absolutely no intention of participating in an Afghanistan pipeline project nor are we in discussions with...

Moore yesterday. More Moore today. Michael Moore got his start interviewing an empty chair (see picture above). So maybe he's mad at Clint Eastwood for stealing his shtick. But he hardly has room for calling Clint "delusional" and "detached from reality." (Come to think of it, Mike hardly has room. Period.) But hypocrisy has never stopped the Left. We know that's Clint's performance art, interviewing President Emptychair, must have really struck a nerve. And so they want to disparage his speech as "weird" and "bizarre," and dismiss Clint as a doddering old fool. But they know Eastwood exposed most...

I think people should start to practice the words "President Romney." What's Thicko up to these days? I mean, besides 350 pounds. Let's find out, shall we? To do so, we go to this THREAD, "Michael Moore: Romney will win in November," and this THREAD, "Michael Moore Predicts 'President Romney' in November." So now let us see if the DUmmies still like Mike, in Bowling-for-Bolshevik Red, while...
