The Chicago police would say only that authorities had found the body of an adult male about 3:15 a.m. in the area of 350 N. Orleans St., a road near a waterway in Chicago. CNN affiliate WGN-TV, citing unnamed police sources, said Scott's family had reported him missing Sunday evening. WLS-TV also reported that it was Scott's body that emergency crews recovered from the water. A report on the station's Web site did not cite a source but noted that Scott's wife, Diana Palomar, is the station's vice president of community affairs. Scott had been appointed to the Chicago Board...

The city of Detroit has turned away thousands of people who lined up Wednesday for a chance to receive stimulus money set aside for homeless and low-income residents. Wednesday at the Cobo Hall was the last day for Detroit residents to get an application for Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program stimulus money. The city said an overwhelming 50,000 people came to the center seeking money that was promised to keep low-income residents from losing their homes and finding temporary housing for the homeless. The massive crowds created a fire and safety hazard and forced the Detroit Police Department to...

Since Aug. 28th in Sacramento, CA, I have been traveling across America performing on the Tea Party Express tour. Patriots are attending by the thousands, families, grandparents and kids. Everyone extremely enthusiastic, grateful and concerned for their country. The liberal media is calling them extremists, racists, ignorant and an angry mob. I am the only black performer on the team and the affection from the attendees has been overwhelming. Black conservative authors Selena and William Owens are traveling with us as speakers. Kenneth Gladney, the black conservative beaten by SEIU thugs is touring with us also telling his story. The...

Mob-tied building inspectors in bribe & drug scandal AT LEAST six city building inspectors -- some with ties to a powerful crime family -- were videotaped taking bribes at construction sites, and some were seen dealing cocaine and prescription pills while on duty, The Post has learned. The corrupt Department of Buildings workers -- who lined their pockets by ignoring violations or expediting construction and building work permits -- will be arrested later this month, along with about two dozen Luchese crime-family captains, soldiers and associates, sources said. "This is going to be big," a well-placed source said. Among the...

WEST CHESTER TWP. — Thousands of people made their way to the Voice of America Park this afternoon, Sept. 5, for a Tea Party event. It was festival-like atmosphere of patriotism, with food vendors, face-painting for kids and live music for crowd that Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones estimated topped out at 18,000. People of all ages were wearing patriotic clothing in hues of red, white and blue, many carrying American flags and hand-made signs with myriad slogans. The event drew people from all over the region, including a family from Springfield. Laura and Andy Rosenberger of Springfield were...

A recent mob-beating of a Buffalo, NY teen has caused a great deal of outrage within the community, and while the crime has been covered locally, the national mainstream press has completely ignored the story. The victim is white and the assailants were black. On August 18, Brian Milligan Jr., 18, was walking home when he was reportedly attacked at the corner of Genesee Street and Floss Avenue, by between 10 to 15 black men. In addition to being punched and kicked, Milligan’s attackers hit him in the back of the head with a brick. Amazingly, despite his severe injuries,...

AMERICAN.COM A Magazine of Ideas Eliminating the Public Option Is Not Enough By John S. HoffTuesday, September 1, 2009 Filed under: Health & Medicine, Government & Politics Even if the public option is excised, the healthcare bill still would impose a heavy blanket of federal regulation on every aspect of healthcare. The Obama administration has signaled that it may be willing to forgo creation of a federal government insurance plan (the so-called “public option”) as part of its healthcare “reform.” This is far less of a concession than it appears.Even if the public option is excised, the healthcare bill under...

Senator Franken, being an upstanding member of Congress, is spending the recess meeting with constituents and discussing the hot topic of health care. That’s commendable. Except, I noticed something quite peculiar about an email I came across this morning from Franken.

The Vietnam War was a watershed moment in our nation’s history for many reasons, not the least of which was the fact that it birthed well-organized protesters who took to the streets in force — opposing not only the war effort but also the soldiers, Marines, and naval personnel who served in Vietnam. Thanks to Tom Hayden and Jane Fonda’s Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), the often-televised protests were well-orchestrated and demoralizing to many families of those who served and died in Vietnam. The protests by SDS during the Vietnam War evolved into a full-blown protest culture on the...

From his office: "Mankato, MN — Next Thursday [August 20] Congressman Walz will hold a town hall meeting to hear from southern Minnesotans about their ideas and concerns on health insurance reform. The general public, as well as members of the media are invited to the event. This August, Walz has held a series of discussions across southern Minnesota in his district offices, workplaces, and homes to hear directly from southern Minnesotans about our health care system.

In this document (that would most certainly send a shiver up the leg of Joseph Goebbels), the right-wing extremist is depicted as an individual — angry over the decline of the economy and the loss of U.S. manufacturing and construction jobs. This right-wing extremist also harbors unwarranted anger over open borders issues, advancing firearm restrictions, and the expansion of social services to illegal aliens. Other dangerous perceptions, documented in the assessment, include how the right-wing extremist places 'state' authority over 'federal' authority; the right-wing extremist is, in general, antagonistic to the 'historic nature' of the Barack Obama presidency.

"...The findings of a survey conducted by Doctor magazine sparked a fierce row last night, with the British Medical Association and campaign groups describing the recommendations from family and hospital doctors as "outrageous" and "disgraceful". About one in 10 hospitals already deny some surgery to obese patients and smokers, with restrictions most common in hospitals battling debt. Managers defend the policies because of the higher risk of complications on the operating table for unfit patients. But critics believe that patients are being denied care simply to save money."

I have a question concerning the Town Halls and this question is directed toward Freepers who have been to them. All we see on the tube are the shouts, the interuptions, etc. I would like to know how do the town halls start? I tend to think they start respectful at first and then the interuptions and shouting starts as the speaker begins to spout off what most of us would recognize as crap. Do I have that about right?

The Oministration’s attempt to silence dissent is chilling. The San Francisco limonene-liberals led by the multi-millionaire Nancy Pelosi claim the protesters are carrying swastikas clearly trying to label them Nazis without being so crass as to use the word. Do you think if there were pictures of any of these protestors carrying Nazi flags the Poodle Press would’ve missed the chance to loop it continuously? The only demonstrator shown with a swastika was a person with a sign that showed one in a red circle with a line through it, which everyone knows is the international symbol for “No.” And...

David Vitter, Senator from Louisiana, spoke at a town hall meeting on health care at Louisiana College in Pineville on Saturday. After the prayer, a minister referred to Vitter as doing God’s work as Vitter welcomed those called “an angry mob.” Louisiana College is a Baptist-run college in North Louisiana. The town hall meeting was held in what is normally the place of worship on the campus, as folks found Bible hymnals in the shelving in front of each pew. People expressed their anger and frustration at the meeting, chaired by Vitter who spoke of his concerns before introducing other...

I thought I'd have some fun with the DNC Rabid Attack Ad: [VIDEO AT SITE]Thanks to skye for use of her photos and apologizes to Dana Loesch for pillaging his photos like the uncouth, ill-mannered mobster, that I am. The ones who are "scripted" and "astroturfed" are the Democratic leaders out there following their "playbook". Any "community organizing" on the part of the vast rightwing conspiracy of an honest-to-goodness- grassroots movement should be described more like Miracle-Gro than the manure-fractured outrage which the term "astroturfing" suggests. How dare they condescend and dismiss the concerns of real ordinary Americans! The reason...

The left cannot help themselves; blinded by their “let them eat cake” arrogance they say exactly what makes the average voter see red. In comments to a reporter on Wednesday, Nancy Pelosi accused town hall protesters of "carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on healthcare," a clear insinuation that anyone who is concerned or angry with the healthcare legislation the Democrats are trying to shove down Americas throat is a fascist, fanatic or fool. Her outrageous and over-the-top comments are part of a Democrat smear campaign against the American people. It is a clumsy and transparent...

Police called to Rep. Murphy's town hall @ 11:22 am by Eric Zimmermann Protesters at one of Rep. Chris Murphy's (D-Conn.) constituent meetings yesterday were so unruly that police were called to the scene. “Hi, we’re from the White House, do you mind turning in your neighbors who disagree with our policy?” Yesterday, I commented on the wave of disgruntled citizens who are showing up at Democratic Town Hall Meetings held by members of Congress all over the U.S. In that article, I mentioned that Texas Congressman Lloyd “Tail between his legs” Doggett said these protesters were organized by the GOP and insurance companies. Then Doggett took it further saying, “the protesters have a script disseminated by the GOP, insurance companies, and others.” A Script! I have to report today that there is in...

“When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.”
-Thomas Jefferson In the 1960s, two Alinsky grads and Columbia sociologists, Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, devised a scheme to bring about the downfall of capitalism by overloading government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands. Drawing inspiration from the highly successful Watts riots in 1965, they wrote that the current welfare system provided a social safety net, which only doused the fires of rebellion. Cloward and Piven believed that the poor would only advance if the rest of society...

Shocking pictures of an anti-Semitic mob in Venezuela putting Nazi swastikas on the house of an opposition governor whose family are Holocaust survivors. Hail the return of mob rule under the weak leadership of Barack Hussein Obama, the great and anointed citizen organizer, who has no experience at all running anything but a group of cretins (ACORN, etc.) who are out to change America into their grand vision of abject socialism. That’s right, Obama’s mob, bought off by the Democrats with our money, have now elected their supreme emperor, to continue the great Democrat tradition of exploiting the naive and stupid among us, with promises of a socialist utopia, on the backs of American producers ..... you know, the responsible, self-reliant ones that...

The mob is in the form of nightly polls taken by President Barack Obama's political advisers. According Ben Smith of Politico.com, "Data from pollsters Joel Benenson and Paul Harstad has become increasingly important to shaping the White House's message as the crucial battle over the president's budget intensifies." Smith quotes one source familiar with White House efforts as saying, "The pace [of polling] is picking up." The clearest reaction to the mob has been Obama's rush to can CEOs who are unpopular. Liberal movie maker Michael Moore, giddy about Obama's recent decisions, wrote, "Did Obama really fire the chairman of...

US President Barack Obama mustered his powerful campaign army on Monday, calling on his millions of supporters to lobby on behalf of his budget and economic plan. The appeal to back the president was made in an email and video sent out by "Organizing for America," the organization which morphed out of Obama's campaign machinery to push his agenda when he entered the White House. In the video, Mitch Stewart, the director of Organizing for America, urged the president's supporters to take part in the "Organizing for America Pledge Project."

Nearly three years ago, the two men, Stephen Caracappa and Louis J. Eppolito, were convicted of serving as assassins and spies for the Mafia while they were employed as detectives for the Police Department. “These two defendants have committed what amounts to treason against the people of the City of New York and their fellow police officers,” said Judge Jack B. Weinstein of United States District Court. He sentenced Mr. Eppolito to life plus 100 years, and fined him $4.75 million; Mr. Caracappa got life plus 80 years, and a fine of $4.25 million. The judge said both men were...

After two fatal tower crane accidents last year, New York City instituted a series of reforms to increase safety and oversight in the construction industry, including requiring a 30-hour class for crane operators and other workers on the safest way to raise and lower a tower crane. But some sessions of the city-mandated class are being taught by a union official who has admitted that he helped unqualified people, including organized crime figures, get into his union, according to sworn testimony and investigative reports. He and other union officials helped some of those men secure licenses to operate smaller cranes...

On Feb. 18, I warned about the ACORN civil disobedience mob working in ideological tandem with Barack Obama to bully Washington into passing a massive new foreclosure prevention/mortgage entitlement scheme. On Feb. 20, I noted that ACORN garnered nationwide media attention for breaking and entering into a foreclosed home in Baltimore at 315 South Ellwood Ave. ACORN vows to use “any means necessary” to stop foreclosures. Baltimore police have taken fingerprints at the break-in site and the current owner, William Lane, says he will sue ACORN. The home was sold in June 2008 for $192,000. This morning, ACORN official...

An ACORN insider just told me that the group is planning to send hundreds of activists to Capitol Hill this Wednesday to press lawmakers to approve the porkulus spending legislation that would give the heavily tax-subsidized ACORN a shot at up to $5.2 billion in taxpayer dollars. Gordon Liddy Show" on Feb. 6. Meanwhile, the D.C. Examiner has a good primer by Kristen Lopez...

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is leading the fight to push President Barack Obama's economic-stimulus plan through the chamber by week's end. He's also working to make sure that his home state of Nevada benefits from the nearly $900 billion plan. A demonstration in London against Israeli attacks on Gaza ended in violence after protesters looted and damaged shops, police said. The paratroopers' armored vehicles had barely taken up position in this fiefdom of the Casalesi crime clan when the mobsters decided to show who was boss. On a sleepy Sunday, a few hundred yards from where the crack Thunderbolt brigade was deployed with automatic rifles, two gunmen drove down the town's main street and pumped bullets into a 60-year-old man at a table just inside the entrance of a card parlor. The murder of an uncle of a crime syndicate turncoat left blood oozing across the stone sidewalk and a collective silence by potential witnesses among fellow card players, prompting...

“I first began to fathom the extent of Nadhmi Auchi's reach and corrupting influence when I was given responsibility for monitoring illegal transfers of technology and munitions to Iraq as well as overseeing all coalition transportation and communications reconstruction in Iraq." ### Barack Obama has been appropriately strident in his condemnation of the mortgage-based financial corruption which nearly led to the collapse of the investment banking system in the United States. But there are some strong smelling financial skeletons in his own closet. Obama has his own personal housing crisis that is tied not into Fanny Mae, but into a...

The advent of a new administration could mean a renewed political debate over a central aspect of life for most Americans — the workplace. Barack Obama has embraced a pro-union agenda that would strengthen the labor movement. And union leaders, who spent more than a quarter-billion dollars and enlisted more than a quarter-million volunteers to win working class swing voters, expect Democrats in both the White House and Congress to make good on their campaign promises. "We have more votes in the Senate, we have more votes in the House, and we have a mobilized electorate and union movement that...
