Imagine if you will you were crafting the perfect presidential candidate. It's likely the following would not be on your list: two-time divorcee with multiple bankruptcies; bombastic reality television star who has appeared on professional wrestling shows; loud-mouth uncensored ego maniac with questionable hair. In other words, Donald Trump. But among the 2016 GOP presidential nominees, it's Trump that's taking the headlines. It's Trump who has people talking. And, most tellingly, it's Trump who is surging in the polls, with the latest numbers showing him with almost twice the support of his closest rival. Why? There a several reasons. First,...

With just two weeks to go before Fox News hosts the first Republican presidential debate of the 2016 cycle, real estate mogul Donald Trump looks increasingly well-positioned to claim center stage. A new Morning Consult poll finds Trump leading the Republican field with 22 percent of the vote, well ahead of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who clocks in with 15 percent, and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, in third place with 12 percent. No other Republican breaks into double digits. Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson receives 8 percent of the vote, with former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee at 7 percent, Sen....

Undercover video of a high-ranking Planned Parenthood official casually discussing the graphic dismemberment of the unborn rocked the abortion debate last week, and the head of the group behind the video says there’s much more to come. The initial video focused on Planned Parenthood conducting abortions in a manner that would preserve fetal organs intact. The Human Capital Project of the Center for Medical Progress produced the video, alleging Planned Parenthood sells the body parts of aborted babies for profit. That is a violation of federal law punishable by imprisonment and hefty fines. Planned Parenthood says it donates fetal tissue...

Back in 2008 during a HBO comedy special, Comedian Chris Rock, who had never served in the military but supported then Senator Barack Obama made disrespectful comments about Senator John McCain and the GOP establishment never attacked Chris Rock or called on Obama to denounce Rock for his comments about John McCain but they definitely went after Donald Trump. Liberal voters laughed out their seats! Liberal news websites didn’t even report the comedy as news or call out Rock for his act…it just “went away,” until now: “He a war hero. He a war hero,” Rock said of then-GOP presidential...

Pic Singaporean photographer Aram Pan has been taking some fascinating photos of the world's most reclusive country, North Korea. Alongside pictures of beautiful landscapes and rundown buildings, however, one picture caught our eye: a map of the starving country's "internet." It sounds ludicrous, but thanks to North Korea's hermit-like existence and paranoia, beyond a few high-ranking officials, North Koreans aren't allowed to access the global public internet. All other Norks allowed near a computer have got to make do with what's on this poster, more or less. A poster that Pan snapped when he saw it on the wall of...

I will tonight be posting a piece exclusively on Free Republic about McCain and the USS Forrestal fire. This will HOPEFULLY put to rest ALL of the BS that is posted here concerning this event.

mmissioner of Motor Vehicles Andres Ayala issued a public apology Monday for a July 10 email that directed driving school operators not to tell customers that increased waiting times for state licensing tests have been caused by a new DMV program to give drivers' licenses to undocumented immigrants. The email from the DMV's driver education unit to scores of driving schools had falsely stated that the increased waits didn't relate to the new program. It claimed that "additional staff was hired and appointments were added to allow for testing of undocumented applicants without negatively affecting test scheduling for legal residents...

This Sunday marks three days since an Islamist gunman opened fire Thursday on military facilities in Chattanooga, Tennessee, killing five unarmed servicemen and wounding a policeman. President Barack Obama still has not ordered the lowering of the U.S. flag to half-staff at the White House and federal properties as a sign of respect and mourning for those killed, even though he (and former President George W. Bush) did so for previous mass killings by lone gunmen. In contrast it was only a matter of hours after the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage last month before Obama bathed the White House...

Earlier this month 20,000 conservative supporters joined Donald Trump in Arizona at a campaign rally. In response to this enormous crowd, Senator John McCain said Trump “fired up the crazies.” McCain says he won’t apologize– On today’s Morning Joe, John McCain refused to apologize to the thousands of Arizonans attending a Trump rally that McCain called “crazies.” According to McCain, “crazies” is a “term of endearment” and a “term of affection.”

THE ORIGIN OF "THE INTERCOLLEGIATE SOCIALIST SOCIETY" DISCLOSED.ITS DEFENSE BY THOMAS WENTWORTH HIGGINSON, IN "HARPERS WEEKLY," ANALYZED AND REFUTED. (BY THE EDITOR.) THE "Intercollegiate Socialist Society" will not capture American universities for revolution and anarchy. Its scheme would have been impossible in any event, and it did not threaten any real danger to our social and political structure. But that men whose names are generally accepted as standing for culture and good citizenship should be permitted deliberately to announce such a project without rebuke would have been to ignore their public challenge to patriotism. It was necessary to consider that...

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - A teen is dead after being shot by a Memphis police officer late Friday night. The MPD officer stopped a car for a broken headlight in the 5700 block of Winchester Road. The officer issued the driver a ticket and let him go. However, the passenger in the car had several warrants for his arrest. Darrius Stewart, the 19-year-old passenger, was placed in the back seat of the police car to verify the warrants. Investigators said when the officer opened the back door to handcuff Stewart, he kicked the door and attacked the officer. During the...

Am I the only one who has noticed that Donald Trump stole Ronald Reagan's c campaign slogan from 1980?

Donald Trump today took lots of shots at John McCain, including––most shockingly––the fact that he was a prisoner of war while serving in Vietnam Trump’s been feuding with McCain after McCain said Trump is “firing up the crazies” with his outlandish rhetoric, and Trump fired back by calling McCain a “dummy. Trump sat down on stage with pollster Frank Luntz at the Family Leadership Summit and continued to fire back at McCain (while still bragging about the crowd he drew because that’s his modus operandi).

Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him. Isaiah 30:18

Angry clashes have erupted between members of the Ku Klux Klan and the New Black Panther Party as both groups rally at the South Carolina statehouse. Confederate flags were stolen and ripped up to cheers and applause from the New Black Panther demonstrators - while KKK members stood on the steps of the capitol performing Nazi salutes. The white supremacists came out in force on Saturday afternoon to condemn the governor's decision to remove the Confederate Flag due to its associations with racial hatred. Countering their demonstration, around 400 people with links to the New Black Panther Party marched in...

It was the perfect hot day for a lemonade stand. Two 13-year-old girls set one up Wednesday in Rancho Cucamonga, California, but they didn’t expect what was coming next. A young man approached the table and told the two entrepreneurs he didn’t have any cash on him, police told ABC News today. The girls decided to give him a free cup of lemonade anyway, and he started walking away.

Researchers hope to use the fernlike Azolla to reverse the global warming effects of burning fossil fuelsJuly 15, 2014 Fifty-five million years ago, when scientists believe the Earth was in a near-runaway state, dangerously overheated by greenhouse gases, the Arctic Ocean was also a very different place. It was a large lake, connected to the greater oceans by one primary opening: the Turgay Sea. When this channel closed or was blocked nearly 50 million years ago, the enclosed body of water became the perfect habitat for a small-leaved fern called Azolla. Imagine the Arctic like the Dead Sea of today:...
