Over the past couple of weeks, Time Warner high speed here around Columbia has been randomly dropping out due to DNS getting lost. An outage can be a few minutes to pushing half an hour. I've changed DNS to some of the open ones, found a firmware update for the router and applied it just to rule out things at home. I was looking to see if anyone else was experiencing the frustration. If I posted this incorrectly, I'm sure the mods will handle it.

Forgive the vanity. My son just got back from taking the ASVAB for military service. This test attempts to measure aptitude and abilities for service. The highest possible score is 99. The lowest score for a marine corp officer is 74. He scored a 97. That's the highest score I've ever even heard of. So, proud poppa alert.

Recently, there was an interview story at Gizmodo, which they (Gizmodo) interviewed an anonymous, former "news curator" for Facebook. In the story, the accusation was made that these curators purposely were told to keep more conservative topics such as Mitt Romney or Rand Paul from trending. So this allegedly happened even with users chatter was causing topics to trend naturally.
