A new government-funded study out of Britain, conducted by scientists at the U.K. Center for Ecology and Hydrology, purports to show that “human breathing is contributing to greenhouse gas emissions.” Therefore, the study authors are urging "caution in the assumption that emissions from humans are negligible."The peer-reviewed study published Wednesday in the Public Library of Science's journal PLOS One investigated greenhouse gas emissions of methane and nitrous oxide in human breath, which allegedly "contribute to global warming."Well, there it is! I knew it was coming! Are you serious about stopping global warming? Well, then, just stop breathing! What a boon...

WASHINGTON — It’s not just curiosity killing the cat anymore — it could be the Army. The Army Medical Research and Development Command has quietly allowed shooting cats and dogs for wound experiments despite a 1983 Defense Department ban on the practice, according to a policy update obtained by The Post. While the change was made as early as 2020, it’s being publicized for the first time after the Army command turned aside a bid by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to find out how many such experiments had been conducted since the switch.

hat is an extremely serious allegation and one that seems, on its face, to justify the requested mistrial with prejudice. During the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, the prosecution argued that Kyle provoked the men who attacked him by waving his gun. To prove this, during the trial, the prosecution gave the defense fuzzy drone footage. There was a great deal of argument about what could be extrapolated from that fuzzy view. It turns out that the prosecution had within its possession a high-quality video that it played for the judge after the trial ended. On this, and other evidentiary grounds, the...

As we get ever further from the Founders in time and values, it may be time for an oath that reminds our leaders of their true obligations to the People. “I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same. . .so help me God” Part of the Oath of Office for military officers, cabinet members, members of Congress, civilian appointees, other civil servants. “Family planning could bring more benefits to more people at less cost than other single technology now available ...” – James Grant “Either we reduce the world’s population voluntarily or Nature will do this for us, but brutally.” – Maurice Strong Two physicians who are concerned about human population just published an article titled, “Doctors and overpopulation 48 years later.” It is based on an article that was published almost a half-century ago. The original “Doctors and Overpopulation” was signed by 52 physicians. The first paragraph states, “Many regard overpopulation as the supreme dilemma of our age ...” It goes...

A Hong Kong dog has been confirmed as the first case of human-to-animal transmission of the coronavirus COVID-19. The Pomeranian has a "low-level" infection of the disease, which has been spreading across the world and may soon reach pandemic levels. The little dog is now under quarantine at the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department for further testing. The department has said there is no evidence that pets could transmit the virus to humans. Pet owners need not be particularly concerned and should not abandon their animals, a spokesperson said. The dog was initially placed into quarantine after its owner developed...

FULL TITLE: Gallup says women slightly more pro-choice than men but veteran pro-abortion pollster says women are “less likely to be pro-choice” We’ve previously discussed three of Gallup’s promised six-part series on abortion and public opinion (see here; here and here). Among other conclusions, we can say * More people still consider abortion morally wrong (49%) than morally acceptable (43%); * Unlike so many other “social issues,” where Americans’ views “have been growing more liberal, the 2018 survey results confirm that abortion continues to be an exception to the trend, with generally stable attitudes”; * 48% of Americans said they’re...

They knew armed guards would be required to protect their compounds from the angry mobs. But how would they pay the guards once money was worthless? What would stop the guards from choosing their own leader? The billionaires considered using special combination locks on the food supply that only they knew. Or making guards wear disciplinary collars of some kind in return for their survival... That’s when it hit me:...they were preparing for a digital future that had a whole lot less to do with making the world a better place than it did with transcending the human condition altogether...

It’s not that Eric Schneiderman (the now-former New York attorney general accused of abuse by multiple women) pushed me over the edge. My edge has been crossed for a long time, before President Trump, before Harvey Weinstein, before “mansplaining” and “incels.” Before live-streaming sexual assaults and red pill men’s groups and rape camps as a tool of war and the deadening banality of male prerogative. Seen in this indisputably true context, it seems logical to hate men. I can’t lie, I’ve always had a soft spot for the radical feminist smackdown, for naming the problem in no uncertain terms. I’ve...

Environment Secretary Michael Gove said Tuesday, promising that welfare standards would improve after leaving the European Union. "We are a nation of animal lovers so we will make Brexit work not just for citizens but for the animals we love and cherish too," said Gove, a leading pro-Brexit campaigner for the 2016 EU referendum. Gove was presenting a draft law that would enshrine the concept of animal sentience into British law and introduce new jail sentences for animal abusers. "Britain outside the European Union can have higher standards on the environment and indeed on animal welfare," he said.

Hillary Clinton on Wednesday warned that if President Trump directs his Justice Department to investigate her role in a 2010 sale of a uranium company, it would be “a disastrous step into politicizing the Justice Department.”  "This is such an abuse of power," Clinton said in an interview with Mother Jones, following reports that the Justice Department is considering appointing a special counsel to investigate. "I regret if they do it because it will be such a disastrous step to politicizing the justice system," she said. "If they send a signal that we’re going to be like some dictatorship, like some authoritarian regime, where political opponents are going...

Guess they got their marching orders earlier this week as it's a different person every night this week on FAUX. Tonight was Greg Jarrett's turn. I cannot paraphrase exactly what he said but the segment was supposed to be about Bill Clinton's past sexual excapades but Jarrett instead opened up convicting Moore of the accusations levied against him. Maybe someone can post up the video segment or you can watch the replay at 10PM PST.

The NYT is on an anti-human exceptionalism crusade. Other than columnist Ross Douthat, when was the last time the “paper of record” allowed arguments to be made in favor of the unique dignity of human life in its pages? I can’t recall a single time in recent years. But take actions to subvert our belief in the unique dignity of human life and the NYT is at your service! It has published columns arguing for “pea personhood,” that plants are the most “ethical” life form, and in last Sunday’s Magazine, a tribute to the Dark Mountain Projects’ push for “uncivilization.”...
