With less than a week until primary election day, the three Republicans in the First Congressional District race are in a dead heat, a new poll shows. The Remington Research Group poll of 420 likely Republican voters has Andy Tobin with 30 percent of the votes, Adam Kwasman with 29 percent, and Gary Kiehne with 21 percent. The remaining 20 percent of voters said they still are undecided.

Arizona Sen. John McCain on Thursday called President Obama's remarks on the execution of American journalist James Foley "moving" -- but also said his policy on the Islamic State terror group is failing. "He said we have to contain ISIS. We don't have to contain ISIS. We have to defeat ISIS, and we have to do whatever is necessary," the Republican lawmaker said on Fox News' "America's Newsroom." "Failures of policies have consequences, and we're paying [for] those consequences in enormous cost of human blood. It's a debacle, and he still doesn't get it."

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio announced in a Friday press release he is endorsing State Treasurer Doug Ducey's gubernatorial campaign. The move doesn't necessarily come as a surprise, as both Arpaio and Ducey are very focused on illegal immigration and the border. "I'm supporting Doug (Ducey) because he's the right leader for Arizona, and he'll do the right thing as governor," Arpaio said in the release.

The latest critique circulating among opponents of the package is that Rebecca Tallent, a former staffer to Senator John McCain (R. Experts in the Middle East conflict expected to see a demand on Israel to liberate particular terrorists as a ransom for the kidnapped boys. Such exchanges have been typical of the past.
