It's unclear if college football players this Saturday will follow the lead of players across the National Football League who protested by kneeling or locking arms during the national anthem before games Sunday and Monday. But this week has already seen multiple instances of students, faculty and staff taking a knee in an effort to replicate former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s original protest, which started last year and is aimed at protesting racism and police brutality. Sunday’s protests were one of the inspirations for Dana Greene Jr., a graduate student at Michigan, to take a knee in front...

Three Democratic members of Congress have been arrested at a protest outside Trump Tower. U.S. Reps Raul Grijalva, of Arizona; Luis Gutierrez, of Illinois; and Adriano Espaillat, of New York, were among a small group of demonstrators who sat down in the street on Fifth Avenue Tuesday afternoon and refused to move. Protest organizers had said prior to the event that the lawmakers planned to get arrested.

In this week’s episode of Your Tax Dollars At Work, we bring you a nearly $100K grant handed out by the National Park Service (NPS) to U.C. Berkeley. You might be wondering what Berkeley is doing that involves parks, but it turns out not to really have anything to do with the grand spectacle of nature. It’s a grant to compile information intended to celebrate and “honor the legacy†of the Black Panther Party (BPP).I’ll just let that sink in for a moment. Hey! Maybe this is something that Ben Shapiro can bring up tonight when he’s speaking there....

Political Hack: The tragic truth of our times is that ‘The Titular Head of the Globalists’ walks like a Marxist, talks like a Marxist and likely prays as a Marxist The one official title you will never see among those set aside for the pope: ‘Francis, Titular Head of the Globalists’; ‘Francis, the Political Pope’, ‘Francis, Pope Putting Politics Ahead of Prayer’. “The pope’s proper title, according to the Vatican’s website, is Bishop of Rome, Vicar of Jesus Christ, Successor of the Prince of the Apostles, Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church, Primate of Italy, Archbishop and Metropolitan of the...

The Austin based Anti-fascists group, Red Guards Austin, has been gaining prominence in the Texas Antifa movement. As we have previously reported, they are a self described autonomous Marxist-Leninist-Maoist collective and their website contains multiple reports on their confrontational and often armed demonstrations. They also openly advocate for violent revolution against capitalism. “we must seriously take up the task not only of self-defense on the personal and community level, but we must also struggle to unite all genuine antifascists behind the necessity of revolution. Revolution means the long fight for communism and nothing less.” In a recent blog titled...

The Democratic National Committee is jumping into the ongoing waves of protests that have followed Saturday’s events in Charlottesville, launching a #RiseAndOrganize campaign to direct activists toward electoral politics. “In addition to calling on Republicans to denounce Trump, the next step is getting people to commit to vote,” explained DNC chief executive Jess O’Connell. “This is a galvanizing moment.” The DNC has spent weeks on a “Resistance Summer” campaign, one of several simultaneous national efforts to galvanize protesters and get them working on achievable political wins. The #RiseAndOrganize campaign, explained O’Connell, would involve Democrats finding the best opportunities to grill...

A top official of the National Security Council was fired last month after arguing in a memo that President Trump is under sustained attack from subversive forces both within and outside the government who are deploying Maoist tactics to defeat President Trump’s nationalist agenda. His dismissal marks the latest victory by National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster in the ongoing war within Trump’s White House between those who believe that the president is under threat from dark forces plotting to undermine him, and those like McMaster who dismiss this as conspiratorial thinking. Rich Higgins, a former Pentagon official who served in...

A Marxist student group at Swarthmore College disbanded itself earlier this year after realizing that its members were too rich and too white to be real commies. According to screenshots confidentially provided to Campus Reform by an individual with access to the group’s private Facebook page, the demise of the Swarthmore Anti-Capitalist Collective (SACC) came in the wake of a farewell letter from a member who had decided the group could never be an effective proponent of “unproblematized anticapitalist politics” due to its “history of abuse, racism, and even classism.”

“Russia is a fierce rival of the U.S. and has been for generations. What politician jumps in bed with Russia? For advisers to a would-be President to take at face value an offer of clandestine assistance from Moscow is foolish at best, reckless for sure and potentially treasonous in the worst-case scenario.” (“Tailgunner” Joe McCarthy, Barry Goldwater and J. Edgar Hoover were all limp-wristed pinkos compared to this week’s Time magazine.) Yet this very same Time magazine hails the Soviet Russians’ most faithful devotee/agent in the Americas as “Hero and icon of the Century!” “The solution to the world’s problems...

A group of Georgia voters and a Colorado-based watchdog organization filed a lawsuit late Monday asking a judge to overturn the results of last month's 6th Congressional District special election and scrap the state's voting system, Colorado Politics has learned. The complaint, filed in Fulton County Superior Court, alleges that state and local election officials ignored warnings for months that Georgia's centralized election system — already known for potential security flaws and lacking a paper trail to verify results — had been compromised and left unprotected from intruders since at least last summer, casting doubt on Republican Karen Handel's 3.8-point...

California’s draconian new gun laws will require residents of the Golden state to register their “assault weapons” with the state (which they will have to pay to do of course) by the end of the year. But thanks to capitalism and the free market, gun makers have already figured out workarounds.

The newly activated Democratic base -- the resistance! -- was tripping over itself for a fight. Their money arrived down South by the truckload. The Republican President's approval ratings are in the tank. And yet, another Election Day is gone, and Democrats are again asking where it all went wrong. By late Tuesday night, the answers were rolling in. Prominently mixed into this dog's breakfast of recriminations, mostly from the party's activist left, there is at least one recurring thread: Democrats do not have, either by omission or commission, a cohesive economic message. Operatives and consultants peddle tactics, electoral "paths"...

Secret tapes of former IRA members that could implicate Gerry Adams, the Sinn Fein president, in dozens of murders in the 1970s have been demanded by American prosecutors acting on behalf of the British authorities. A subpoena has been received by Boston College for the tapes of interviews with Brendan Hughes and Dolours Price, both one-time senior IRA figures, carried out by researchers for an oral history project. Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams Hughes, a convicted IRA man who was once arrested with Mr Adams, died in 2008. A book “Voices from the Grave” by Ed Moloney, based on the...

Bill Clinton spent eight long years sucking up to Irish Republican Army terrorists, repeatedly bringing Gerry Adams to the White House lending him respectablility and continuously touting the democratic viability of this murderous crime-fueled organization. But avowed terrorists don't change that easily. They remain terrorists because their only successful means of amassing power is through violence. This was as true of Arafat holed up in Ramallah pretending to lead a democratic Palestine (while carrying on in his old ways) as it is now of the IRA. In an unusually clear news analysis, AFP reports on the disarray now engulfing the...

Former Democratic President Jimmy Carter revealed Monday night that he backed Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders over Hillary Clinton in last year's Democratic presidential primary. "Can y'all see why I voted for him?" the 92-year-old Carter said of Sanders, who was seated next to him during a discussion hosted by the Carter Center on Human Rights in Atlanta. Carter kept his preference quiet during last year's heated race between Clinton and Sanders, but his distaste for Hillary and Bill Clinton is an open secret. Carter would be Sander's highest-ranking supporter in the Democratic Party. Only one senator backed the Vermont Independent...

President Trump may not be running for California insurance commissioner but that doesn’t mean he won’t be a political target in the campaign. State Sen. Ricardo Lara (D-Bell Gardens) devoted his first online ad in the 2018 race to depicting Trump as anti-immigrant, anti-woman, anti-healthcare and a climate change denier. Lara urged voters to support his campaign for insurance commissioner so he can protect California from Trump’s reach. “His hate has only made me more determined to empower Californians to control their own lives,” Lara proclaims in the ad, which was released on Monday.

CHICAGO — Barack Obama has seen presidential libraries. Sometimes they are a monument to the past, he said, standing on stage in an auditorium on Wednesday; a record of accomplishments. “And a little bit of an ego trip,” he added. “‘See what I did.’” . . . “What we want this to be is the world’s premier institution for training young people in leadership to make a difference in their countries, in their communities and in the world,” he said.

A state senator from Auburn is paving the way for the Eastside to leave King County. Senator Phil Fortunato (R- District 31) sponsored Senate Bill 5932 which allows for the formation of new counties or consolidation of existing counties. Sen. Fortunato says he is tired of Seattle and its policies. "They can do whatever the heck they want, they just can't do it with my money, " said Fortunato Wednesday. "All this crazy whacko stuff, they're just moving so far left, so far socialist that a majority of the King County Council, a third of the vote in King County...

A proposal considered by California lawmakers would substantially remake the health care system of the nation’s most populous state by eliminating insurance companies and guaranteeing coverage for everyone. The idea known as single-payer health care has long been popular on the left and is getting a new look in California as President Donald Trump struggles to repeal and replace former President Barack Obama’s health care law. The proposal, promoted by the state’s powerful nursing union and two Democratic senators, is a longshot. But supporters hope the time is right to persuade lawmakers in California, where Democrats like to push the...
