There was some head-scratching a couple of days ago over the Justice Department’s indictment of Jared Lee Loughner in the Tucson shootings case because he was not charged with the murders of Chief Judge John Roll and Gabriel Zimmerman, a legislative aide to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. Instead, the indictment charges only the attempted murders of Representative Giffords and her two other aides, Ron Barber and Pamela Simon. (My column a few days back explained that there is no federal jurisdiction to charge murder or attempted murder in connection with the victims who were not federal officers.) I was interviewed by...

Gun Safety Group Announces Seminar In Wake of School ShootingJan 19, 2011 Gardena, CA - A Southern California-based gun safety group has announced its intention to host a week-long seminar in Gardena following a school shooting Tuesday that left two students in critical condition. According to an LA Unified School District spokesperson, the shooting occurred when a gun inside a backpack accidentally discharged. "We've heard enough rhetoric demonizing guns, and it's time to take responsibility," said Kevin Lohman, organizer for the local group called Gun Safety Awareness. GSA was formed earlier this month, consisting mostly of members from the California...

It is an absolute disaster when those on the left try to define conservatism or conservatives in America. Similar results can be obtained by asking a five-year old to balance a checkbook—both of which will lead to cleaning up messes. In the defense of a five-year old with a checkbook, it can merely be stated that it was incompetence. In the case of the left it can merely be stated that it was malicious incompetence. This is the case in the Gabrielle Giffords shooting, and the arrest of Jared Loughner. The left has given us an example of malicious incompetence....

Shouldn't we at least bring Bill Maher in for questioning?

Without a shred of evidence the Democrats and their brothel of media presstitutes didn't let the dead bodies get cold before blaming Palin, Beck and the Tea Party for the mass murder in Tucson. When the facts came out it was clear that Loughner was a liberal nutbag, which didn't deter the media whores to continue pumping the airwaves with more blame and hatred spewing against Palin and other conservatives....When the Democrat Eric Fuller fantasized about torture, mutilation and killing a Tea Party leader the media went silent.

Perhaps the only thing left to be said about the Jan. 9 shootings in Tuscon is that so much of the early speculation now appears to have been reckless, groundless and wrong. The strength of the 24/7 TV news networks has always been their ability to quickly focus resources on a breaking national story. That works well when they have a tornado, snowstorm, hurricane or flood to cover. But in some cases, like the Tuscon shootings, the facts available simply could not fill the time allotted, even when they were repeatedly endless. The audience suddenly had a huge appetite for...

Liberal online political magazine Salon.com published a letter to the editor Friday that called for the murder of 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. The letter was written in response to a mocking article at Salon titled, Good Morning America’s painfully friendly interview with Sarah Palin by Alex Pareene. Pareene snarkily sums up the GMA interview: “The interview was basically split into a couple of distinct sections: How awesome is your family, how bad is Barack Obama, how awful are people who criticize you, and how awesome is America?” The first letter published in response to...

Cameras rolled as suspect Jared Loughner allegedly fired all 31 bullets in the clip of his Glock, plus another round that was already in the chamber, at a supermarket in Tucson, Ariz., on Jan. 8. At the outset of the melee, unidentified sources who have seen the video tell the Washington Post, Loughner walked straight up to congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and shot her above the left eye from about two or three feet away. Within moments, Loughner also allegedly shot Chief Arizona U.S. District Judge John Roll, who had tried to take cover under a table. As Roll did so,...

For over a week we have heard the pundits on the left try to pin the blame for the horrible Tucson shootings on the Tea Parties, Sarah Palin, and/or Right Wing Radio hosts. However there was no evidence that anything coming out of these sources had anything to do with Jarred Loughner’s disgusting attack. Yet some progressives continue to attack Conservatives for the inciting Loughner’s hate.

A team of 250 federal investigators and 130 local detectives trying to understand why Jared Lee Loughner went on his alleged killing spree has conducted more than 300 interviews with family, friends and neighbors since the shooting. But they remain stumped about what ultimately prompted the 22-year-old's descent into violence. Investigators have had little success gaining information from either the uncooperative Loughner or his parents, who have told authorities that they had little recent contact with their son, law enforcement sources said. With so little help coming from the immediate family, investigators are probing associates and witnesses for details that...

Has anybody noticed the famous "shaved head" mugshot of the Arizona Shooter Jared Loughner? I may just be off base here, but I was wondering if anybody else had the same thought I had. It appears to me like he was almost made to look like a skinhead with his head shaved. I did a google search of this and it appears that others have reported a similiar theory. Perhaps I am just being conspiratorial, but Loughner is in the custody of that Sheriff who went out of his way to brand this guy a right wing nut. It is...

Speaking to Sean Hannity on Fox News Monday night, Sarah Palin was defiant in the face of the recent attacks on her in the aftermath of Tucson shooting, saying that her critics were “not going to shut me up.” In her first public interview since issuing her video response to the Arizona shooting, Palin spoke out on “Hannity” against critics who have called her campaign rhetoric “vitriolic” and made subtle and not-so-subtle inferences that such language in some way motivated alleged shooter Jared Lee Loughner, who killed six people and injured many others, including Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, on Jan....

By all accounts, an Internet documentary named "Zeitgeist" was the favorite movie of accused Tucson shooter Jared Loughner. Created in 2007 by New York-based conspiracy merchant Peter Joseph, "Zeitgeist" is a two-hour mash-up of old and new conspiracy theories involving religion, the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, and the Federal Reserve system. Its message is simple: "We've been lied to. We've been lied to by every institution.""He wanted to watch it all the time," a teenage friend of Loughner's told the Arizona Republic. "It was cool at first. But then it got weird. It was all he wanted to do.""Zeitgeist" has...

Democrat Eric Fuller has a psychiatric evaluation on his schedule. Fuller, wounded in the Tucson shooting, visited a "Town Hall" gathering In Tucson held by ABC News. The area Tea Party leader Trent Humphries was speaking when Fuller became agitated and threatened Humphries with death Fuller then swiveled in his chair, raised his camera and took a photo of the pro-gun speaker, muttering, "You're dead," according to Joel Tranter, who was sitting behind him. And he had a message for those in attendance: As police officers approached to escort Fuller outside, he turned and shouted at the audience: "You...

Donated organs from the youngest victim of the Arizona shootings have been used to save the life of another girl. John Green, the father of nine-year-old Christina-Taylor Green, said medical authorities had been in contact to tell him about the transplant. Mr Green said the information had "really lifted" his spirits and that he and his wife were proud of Christina "who has done another amazing thing". When asked if he would like to meet the recipient of his daughter's organs, who is from the Boston area, he said: "Oh yes, and I'd give her a big hug." Christina had...

(NewsCore) - Severe mental illness is more common among US college students than it was a decade ago, National Public Radio reported Monday. Citing statistics collected by the American Psychological Association, NPR reported that the number of students on psychiatric medicines has increased by more than 10 percentage points over the last 10 years. College counselors have reported a notable rise not only in the number of students seeking help for mental disorders, but also a rise in the severity of their illnesses. The author of the research added that in 1998, nearly all of the students seeking help at...

SAN DIEGO — The U.S. Department of Justice said Monday it will oppose moving the case of accused gunman Jared Lee Loughner out of Arizona to another location, including San Diego. The statement pushed back at a report by The Washington Post Sunday that cited anonymous federal law enforcement sources saying “federal court authorities” were preparing for the Loughner case to be moved in the next few weeks because of the massive publicity about the case in the state. He is accused of killing six people, including a federal judge, and shooting Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz,, at an event in...

On Jan. 8, 2011, Federal District Judge John Roll was gunned down by a maniacal coward lunatic. Since this unspeakable and unimaginable tragedy, much has been said about who caused this tragedy or who may have prompted its occurrence. Some of this rhetoric bordered on the absurd. I would much rather talk about the good people who had their lives snuffed out before their time and to pay tribute to who they were and what they stood for. Certainly, a beautiful little 9-year-old angel, named Christina Green, deserves to have her life displayed as an example to others to learn...

Washington (CNN) -- Two federal judicial sources say they expect attorneys for accused Tucson shooter Jared Lee Loughner to ask that any trial be moved out of Arizona, possibly to San Diego, but the Justice Department indicated Monday it would opposed a move (snip) Earlier, federal sources said that whether to support an out-of-state change of venue, a move that has happened rarely in recent years, appeared to be an ongoing point of disagreement within the Justice Department. A trial also could be held in Arizona outside of Tucson, those sources said. There are federal courthouses in Phoenix, Flagstaff, and...

Arizona shooting victim James Eric Fuller remains under psychiatric observation following his arrest Saturday for threatening a Tea Party leader at a town hall meeting. Fuller’s arrest follows his public rebuking of Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck, accusing them of inciting Jared Loughner, the man suspected in the shooting rampage that left six dead and 13 injured -- including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords -- at a Tucson supermarket. Pima County Sheriff spokesman Jason Ogan told FoxNews.com that Fuller -- who was charged with disorderly conduct and making threats -- is still at an undisclosed facility in Tucson, Ariz. On Friday, Media...
