The media showed up to the presidential ballroom of the new Trump International Hotel on Friday morning expecting Donald Trump to take questions about whether he still questions if President Obama was born in the United States. Instead, they got more than a half hour of a variety of military heroes — generals, medal of honor recipients and a gold star wife — expressing support for the Republican nominee. And it all aired live on the cable news networks. Read more: http://dailycaller.com/2016/09/16/media-outraged-after-trump-tricks-them-to-cover-endorsements-from-military-heroes/#ixzz4KRC4JFzM

When Michael Brown was shot and killed by a white police officer two years ago in Ferguson, Mo., Darren Seals was one of the most vocal activists leading protests across the city. He rallied a boycott of Democratic candidates in local elections after he said they failed to protect black lives. And on the day a grand jury declined to indict the Ferguson police officer, Darren Wilson, Seals held Brown’s mother in his arms as she sobbed.

Hawaii's former health director who died after a plane she was traveling in crashed into the ocean was wearing an infant life vest and the pilot didn't give a safety briefing before takeoff, according to details in a National Transportation Safety Board report. An autopsy determined Loretta Fuddy died of an irregular heartbeat from hyperventilating after she exited the plane, which landed in choppy water off the island of Molokai. The pilot and seven other passengers on the 2013 Makani Kai Air flight survived. Pilot Clyde Kawasaki reported to the NTSB that he heard a loud bang, followed by an...

A Harley Biker is riding by the zoo in Washington, DC when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the collar of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents. The biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch. Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings the girl to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly. A reporter...

Set aside some time for this. There were a LOT of jokes.

Minneapolis — Target cut its profit and comparable-store sales outlook amid stiffer competition and its own stumbles in areas like grocery sales. The discounter’s second-quarter net income fell nearly 10%, though that was better than what most had expected. Sales at stores open at least a year fell 1.1%, reversing seven straight quarters of gains. Target shares were down more than 6% in mid-morning trading Wednesday. The quarter underscores challenges that Target and other retailers face from Amazon.com and shoppers who remain cautious about spending.

Donald Trump ripped CNN anchor Don Lemon on Twitter on Wednesday after a heated Tuesday-night segment on Lemon's show surrounding Trump's latest controversy. In the tweet, Trump praised Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent who is running for Congress in Florida as a Republican and who defended the Republican presidential nominee's comments from a Tuesday rally in North Carolina. ".@dbonginoYou were fantastic in defending both the Second Amendment and me last night on@CNN," Trump posted. "Don Lemon is a lightweight — dumb as a rock."

Remember the discussions of “optics” and trying to manufacture the perception of support for Hillary Clinton? It’s all a pretense; a fraud; a corporate media ruse. Well, a great example comes today from “The Hill”, an on-line media outlet promoting the speech of candidate Clinton. Notice anything, well, ‘odd’ about the picture: It’s a 100% photoshopped image (link) assembling multiple rally crowd pictures to give the impression of Hillary Clinton in St. Petersburg. Hillary is holding a rally at the St. Pete Colliseum in down town St. Petersburg. Located at 353 4th Ave North, the Coliseum venue holds approximately 4,000...

On ABC’s This Week program on Sunday morning host Martha Raddatz called Hillary Clinton “crooked” when reading out a Donald Trump tweet even though it was not included in the tweet.

Guest host of ABC’s “This Week” Martha Raddatz incredulously asked a female supporter of Donald Trump if she was offended by the slogan “KFC Hillary Special: Two fat thighs, two small breasts, left wing.”Earlier this week Raddatz was in Pennsylvania near the Ohio-West Virginia border following the Trump campaign where she said she found “Trump die-hards” who want “more jobs and the removal of regulations on the coal mines.”

Hillary Clinton has a nearly 80 percent chance of winning the White House in November, FiveThirtyEight polling guru Nate Silver predicted Wednesday. FiveThirtyEight projected Clinton has a 79 percent chance of winning the general election against Donald Trump, who has just a 20 percent chance of succeeding President Barack Obama in the Oval Office. “Here’s how to think about it: We’re kind of at halftime of the election right now, and she’s taking a seven-point, maybe a 10-point lead into halftime,” Silver told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on “Good Morning America.” “There’s a lot of football left to be played, but...

The trendy knock on Hillary Clinton, even among those who acknowledge that she’s the most capable and knowledgeable of the 2016 candidates for President, is the accusation that she’s just not honest. Her opponents keep insisting that she can’t be trusted, that she’s not telling the truth, and that there is therefore no telling what she might do while in office. But whenever fact checkers look at what Clinton and her opponents are saying during this election cycle, she rates out as the most honest of the bunch.

Freudian slip? While talking about Bill Cosby’s appearance in a Pennsylvania courtroom over sex assault allegations, MSNBC anchor Steve Kornacki mistakenly said “Bill Clinton.” “We’re gonna begin with that breaking news we told you about at the top. Right now, out of Pennsylvania, Bill Clinton is set to arrive at a suburban — excuse me, Bill Cosby is set to arrive at a suburban Philadelphia courthouse any moment now for a key hearing in his criminal sex assault case.”

A Russian safari park has adopted a black goat named "Obama," calling the newest addition to their menagerie a "rare, exotic animal." "Goat" in Russian is an insult used for obtuse, obstinate and headstrong people. The Primorsky Safari Park obtained the animal from a farmer in Sochi who had named it after the U.S. president. Officials first tried to take the creature to one of Vladimir Putin's residences but were informed the Russian president "holds no meetings with goats," ...

Admitting that the political situation is extremely volatile, the non-partisan Cook Political Report has shifted 11 states toward Democrat Hillary Clinton for the November election. The Hill: “This has been an exceedingly unpredictable year,†the analyst said. “Although we remain convinced that Hillary Clinton is very vulnerable and would probably lose to most other Republicans, Donald Trump's historic unpopularity with wide swaths of the electorate — women, millennials, independents and Latinos — make him the initial November underdog.â€Â Colorado, Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin were all shifted from toss-up states to leaning Democratic. The “solid Republican†states Missouri and Indiana were...

An anonymous group of conservative billionaires is ready to place their bets on a man dubbed “Mad Dog,” hoping to draft him into the presidential race to confront Donald Trump. Think of it as a Plan B should Trump be nominated by the Republican Party in Cleveland: swing behind retired U.S. Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis and press him into service yet again as a third-party candidate. Mattis is the former commander of Central Command, which includes the strife-afflicted conflict zones of the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia, and has developed a reputation among troops as a general...

Donald Trump may be a runaway train. He has blasted through his 50 percent “ceiling,” outperforming his polls and winning a clear majority in the last six states to cast ballots. All that success occurred in the Northeast, however, so here’s the question: Is Trump wrapping up this nomination, or is he just really strong in the Northeast? We’ll get some answers in Indiana on Tuesday. It’s a culturally conservative state where many political observers (including yours truly) thought Ted Cruz had a good shot at coalescing the anti-Trump vote. Indiana is also, in terms of demographics, slightly below average...
