Donald Trump ripped CNN anchor Don Lemon on Twitter on Wednesday after a heated Tuesday-night segment on Lemon's show surrounding Trump's latest controversy.
In the tweet, Trump praised Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent who is running for Congress in Florida as a Republican and who defended the Republican presidential nominee's comments from a Tuesday rally in North Carolina.
".@dbonginoYou were fantastic in defending both the Second Amendment and me last night on@CNN," Trump posted. "Don Lemon is a lightweight — dumb as a rock."

I’ve never heard of Lemon until the last couple of weeks. I saw two videos. Trump nailed my perspective as well. I saw him as sort of “substitute host”. He did a remarkably poor job. Might be an affirmative action hire.

I just watched the replay. This is nothing but leftist,panic driven smearing and distortion to keep from talking about the unindicted criminal liar and the absolute need for the American people to see all of her neurological health records after she fell and concussed her skull resulting in 6 months recovery with special glasses (because her eyes would not focus!) and then a blood cot in her brain resulting in all the seizures we now see all over the net. This woman is IMPAIRED!! She cant even go up a flight of stairs without being supported on both sides!! She can’t face an open press conference with uncontrolled questions and hasn’t for a damned year!! Trump has had 50 open press conferences since her last one. The woman is badly impaired— she is sick!! We need to know if because of a rigged justice system she ends up in the White house if she has BRAIN DAMAGE!!!They owe it to the VOTERS!!
This isn’t the kind of thing Trump needs to be doing. Let your hired hit guys like Christie or Rudy do the attacks. Seems like Trump will never learn.

Trump if anything is loyal. You stick up for him, he sticks up for you. Remember how he stood firm for Lewandowski when that Michelle Fields pulled her stunt.
That part of him won’t change and it resonates with a good portion of old fashioned blue collar America.
