The White House and Secret Service on Monday claimed no visitor logs exist from President Joe Biden’s Delaware residence, where multiple classified documents were unearthed by the president’s personal attorneys. The statements were in response to House Oversight Committee Chair Rep. James Comer’s (R-KY) request for disclosure of the logs Sunday.

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell's announcement this week that businesses reopening when coronavirus restrictions are eased May 16 will be required to keep track of their customers has prompted questions from businesses and customers alike. How will the new protocol be enforced? How will customers be logged? And most important: Will the businesses and their customers play ball? Cantrell said Tuesday the goal is for companies to help "box in" coronavirus by providing data to health officials, but she offered few details about the plan. And there is little evidence of a similar mandate in the U.S. Efforts closest to...

"They're just like us, only different". No, you and I don't customarily put up photos of naked children at our "parties:" The background to Milo's speech at his political get-together tacitly announces that the Log Cabin Republicans have normalized the exploitation of America's children.youtube.com/watch?v=i05eXluAQ18 Breitbart is featuring coverage of the Daily Show crew "clicking" bystanders recording they themselves conducting "interviews", so the bystanders could later compare their video with the Daily Show report for unfair editing. (Melissa Click was the Mizzou professor videoed calling for "some muscle" against a photographer who was recording political activity on a college campus.) The...

If Donald Trump was hoping for GOP unity leading into next week’s convention, there’s a ways to go. In addition to the last breaths of the #NeverTrump movement, the Log Cabin Republicans are denouncing recent developments for the party’s 2016 platform, calling it “the most anti-LGBT platform in the party’s 162-year history.” The organization, which represents LGBT conservatives, issued a letter from its president decrying the platform’s changes, which have been reported as “a rightward lurch even from the party’s” 2012 positions. “Opposition to marriage equality, nonsense about bathrooms, an endorsement of the debunked psychological practice of ‘pray the gay...

Chestnuts can do whatever they want by an open fire; we’ll be roasting — courtesy of cozy blankets and flannel pajamas — in front of a television watching the Yule log this Christmas, as we do every year. But here’s the thing: While we sit there, with our families, pondering the warmth and joy of the holiday season as classic carols play in the background, thousands of questions dance like sugar plums in our heads. Before we put on our caps and ‘kerchiefs, we decided it was time to get some answers. Consider this our holiday gift to you, so...

What does MSNBC's Alex Wagner have against stately Indian warriors? On today's Morning Joe, Wagner said it was "amazing" that anyone could look at the Washington Redskins logo and name and not find it controversial. This NewsBuster can understand the debate over the "Redskins" name. But the logo? Has Alex actually had a look at the logo? Could Wagner be confusing it with the Cleveland Indians' Chief Yahoo? Seriously, what could be more stately, grave and dignified than the Redskin logo? View the video here.

I had been posting on another thread from last week regarding some discoveries a person had made in their log house. I thought those on here may be interested in checking out the site I decided to make. It was spurred because: 1) The barn originally tied to this house was sold and dismantled last week, and while I have been searching on and off for two years it renewed interest. and... 2)The guy dismantling the barn came over to talk to us, and we had showed him some things we had uncovered in a crawlspace when my husband was...

The Obama administration is appealing a judge's ruling that Secret Service records of visitors to the White House complex are subject to disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act. The Justice Department filed a formal notice of appeal Friday afternoon regarding U.S. District Court Judge Beryl Howell's August ruling rejecting arguments that the so-called WAVES records belong to the White House even though they are maintained and used by the Secret Service. The decision to appeal the ruling to the D.C. Circuit would appear to be in tension with Obama's repeated pledges to operate the most transparent administration in history....

Despite the fact that most parents put an awful lot of time and effort into selecting only the most suitable and age-appropriate toys for their children, companies seem hell-bent on putting out products whose inappropriateness beggars belief. Of course, this almost always leads to a backlash from concerned consumers, leaving the company with egg on its face and an awful lot of products to recall. Let’s look at some of the most inappropriate children’s products ever.

The 1820s American Farm at the Frontier Culture Museum in Staunton, Virginia, features a log house which incorporates an original log cabin built in 1773. The two wings of the house, joined by an enclosed dogtrot, demonstrate the progression in log-structure building techniques from colonial to early American times. This log farm house is a Shenandoah Valley original, moved from northern Rockingham County to the Museum and reconstructed on a hillside site.

It was a recurring theme of Barack Obama's presidential campaign — a call for openness: "Transparency and accountability, getting the American people involved, that's how we're gonna bring about change," candidate Obama said. And the theme continued on Obama's first day as president: "Starting today, every agency and department should know that this administration stands on the side not of those who seek to withhold information, but those who seek to make it known." But for advocates of open government, the new era of openness has yet to dawn. "Once all the pretty speeches were over in the first couple...

Google must divulge the viewing habits of every user who has ever watched any video on YouTube, a US court has ruled. The ruling comes as part of Google's legal battle with Viacom over allegations of copyright infringement. Digital rights group the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) called the ruling a "set-back to privacy rights". The viewing log, which will be handed to Viacom, contains the log-in ID of users, the computer IP address (online identifier) and video clip details. While the legal battle between the two firms is being contested in the US, it is thought the ruling will apply to...

How Gore's Massive Energy Consumption Saves the World March 4, 2007 BY MARK STEYN Sun-Times Columnist Stop me if you've heard this before, but the other day the Rev. Al Gore declared that "climate change" was "the most important moral, ethical, spiritual and political issue humankind has ever faced.'' Ever. I believe that was the same day it was revealed that George W. Bush's ranch in Texas is more environmentally friendly than the Gore mansion in Tennessee. According to the Nashville Electric Service, the Eco-Messiah's house uses 20 times more electricity than the average American home. The average household consumes...
