Two inspectors general have asked the Justice Department to launch a criminal investigation into whether Hillary Clinton mishandled sensitive information through her private e-mail account, according to the New York Times. The Times, citing unnamed “senior government officials,” said Thursday night that the requests had come from the inspectors general for the State Department and intelligence agencies. They concluded that Clinton’s private account contained “hundreds of potentially classified emails,” according to the Times. The Department of Justice has made no decision on whether to comply with the requests, the paper said.

Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton is set to raise a record amount of money in her first quarter as a presidential candidate, exceeding expectations of her campaign. Clinton is on track to raise more than $45 million in the April-June fundraising quarter, a Clinton campaign official said Wednesday. A same sex prom couple and two gay dads with a baby are among those featured in the campaign's first TV ad. A voiceover declares, "Family isn't defined by who you love, but how." CHRISTIANSBURG — After an eight-hour sentencing hearing Monday, Jessica Michelle Ewing, a former Virginia Tech student and Corps of Cadets member was sentenced to 45 years in prison for the 2014 killing of fellow student Samanata Shrestha. Judge Robert Turk sentenced to Ewing to 80 years for first-degree murder and five years for transporting and concealing a body. After Ewing serves 45 years, the rest will be suspended, Turk ruled. She will be on probation for 20 years after her release. Ewing was facing a minimum of 20 years and up to life in prison on the first-degree murder charge....
