While the overall reaction to Caitlyn Jenner's introduction has been overwhelmingly positive, restoring our faith in the world and making Caitlyn herself feel 'humbled' and extremely happy, there are some who haven't reacted quite so well. In fact, a shocking petition has now been started urging the International Olympic Committee to actually REVOKE her incredible 1976 Olympic gold medal, as they claim she was "in violation of committee rules." Yes, really. The 65-year-old won the medal for the decathlon in the 1976 Montreal Olympics, but now some are suggesting that she should give back the medal. And by some, we...

Writing online, author Elisa Gabbert answered one of her reader's questions about whether he should stop writing because of his "privilege" of being white and male. An anonymous reader asked Gabbert: "I am a white, male poet—a white, male poet who is aware of his privilege and sensitive to inequalities facing women, POC, and LGBTQ individuals in and out of the writing community—but despite this awareness and sensitivity, I am still white and still male. Sometimes I feel like the time to write from my experience has passed, that the need for poems from a white, male perspective just isn’t...

The restaurant, named Tallywackers, hires attractive men and serves comfort food including steaks, pizzas, pasta, and hot dogs. Tallywackers says their restaurant is a “bar, restaurant and entertainment destination for everyone. There is eye-candy — for boys and girls — great food and a really good time.” Just as the “Hooters” name is a play on a euphemism for women’s breasts, “Tallywackers” is a not-so-subtle nod to men’s genitals. Owner Rodney Duke told the hosts of the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show last month that “he has pondered for 10 years why there wasn’t a male equivalent of this type of...

LONGMONT, CO (KDVR/CNN) - Parents of Evan Curry are outraged after their teenage son is outed by his high school principal just before graduation. The principal at Twin Peaks Charter School called Alise Curry and Don Young to tell them their son, the valedictorian, would not be allowed to give the speech at graduation. The principal also informed them their Evan was gay. "I think it goes without saying...

There may be evidence that the government agency in charge of enforcing Oregon anti-discrimination laws colluded against Aaron and Melissa Klein, former owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa bakery, with the pro-LGBT group Basic Rights Oregon. The Daily Signal, the news arm of The Heritage Foundation, exposed the communications contact between officials at the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries and Basic Rights Oregon, obtained through a public records request, in their story titled, "Emails Raise Questions of Bias in Case Against Bakers Who Denied Service for Same-Sex Wedding." The communications between the two groups raises questions of the impartiality...

Can anyone imagine what Mike Wallace (given his politically incorrect tendencies) and CBS News would endure via social media had this special come out today, given how many of what are now deemed stereotypes have come to fruition?

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is spending nearly $2 million to see if courts run by teenagers can be a viable tool to fight school bullying. The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) tasked WestEd, a San Francisco-based education research group, late last year to study the effectiveness of “youth courts,” where the roles of judge, jury, defense, and prosecution are filled by students, who can then administer punishment in middle and high schools. “Reports of violence, bullying, and other offenses have resulted in concerns about school safety,” according to the NIJ grant. “Administrators, anxious to restore order, have adopted policies...

The grave effects of Ireland’s May 22 referendum in favor of a same-sex “marriages,” not only for the secular world, but also especially for the Catholic Church, are showing themselves already. None other than the leading cardinal who has promoted the liberal agenda for the two-part Synod of Bishops on the Family, Cardinal Walter Kasper, has now come out publicly and with force, telling the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera that the Church needs to address more fully the question of same-sex couples. This topic was at the last Synod “only a marginal topic, but now it becomes central,” Kasper...

Sweden's tax-funded public broadcaster SVT has apologized to parents after it accidentally sent an SMS to 60 children which included a link to a pornographic site. Every week, SVT's kids' show 'Rea' sends a question via text message to 60 children voluntary 'mobile reporters' aged between 10 and 13 who then answer the query on camera. This week the junior reporters were asked to name their favourite ice cream, but a typo in the text message instead directed the youngsters to a web page featuring a video of two men having sex and the words “gay sex is the answer”....

UNITED NATIONS — The boys said they approached the French soldiers because they were hungry. Some were so young that they didn't quite understand the acts the soldiers demanded in return. One boy, 8 or 9 years old, said he did it several times to the same soldier, "until one day an older kid saw him and told him what he was doing was bad." Another boy, 9, said he thought the soldiers had been urinating. United Nations investigators heard such stories of sexual abuse from several boys in May and June 2014 in Central African Republic, where French soldiers...

Indicted former House Speaker Dennis Hastert was paying an individual from his past to conceal sexual misconduct, two federal law enforcement officials said Friday. One of the officials, who would not speak publicly about the federal charges in Chicago, said “Individual A,” as the person is described in Thursday’s federal indictment, was a man and that the alleged misconduct was unrelated to Hastert’s tenure in Congress. The actions date to Hastert’s time as a Yorkville, Ill., high school wrestling coach and teacher, the official said.

Coca Cola is running ads that will appear on buses and signs featuring a gay couple and their adopted child. The ad shows a picture of two men holding a baby, playing with crayons. A bottle of Coca Cola is next to them. Over their heads reads, "We choose happiness ~over~ tradition. -the Van Bergen family." In the bottom right corner it reads, "#choosehappiness:" The ad implies that, though their family is not "traditional," the Van Bergens are happy. They also drink Coke:

After news broke about the Rush Limbaugh Show getting kicked to the curb by WRKO-AM in Boston, Nielsen radio market #10, I received about a dozen emails asking when I was going to comment. So, here goes. First, understand the “business of business is business” and the “business of money is money.” And it’s money not a station’s Nielsen ratings that will ultimately determine your success or failure as a personality. For most of us, revenue and ratings are connected. But, that’s not true for everyone. After Rush Limbaugh stepped over the line with his Sandra Fluke comments a few...

Ireland became the first country in the world to legalize same-sex marriage through a popular vote last week, prompting emotional celebrations, outpourings of support and, yes, a little bit of hate. The Westboro Baptist Church already stumbled over an attempted diss of the Irish referendum, mistakenly chastising the Ivory Coast instead. But when they tried to take on J.K. Rowling, the Harry Potter author had nothing but ire for the hate-mongers ..."I don't care about WBC. I think it's important that scared gay kids who aren't out yet see hate speech challenged."...

Two supposedly landmark political events have occurred on the island of Ireland this week. Both were greeted with an element of surprise and excitement and were hailed as great victories for the “progressive movementâ€, both were inevitable. The referendum in which Ireland supported Same Sex Marriage and a departure with Catholicism was not today, it was in 2009, when Irish people voted to ratify the Lisbon Treaty. They had to vote for a second time of course, their first answer being wrong, but that was the last scism of the defence of their religion and nationhood. The decision on both the Asher’s Bakery...

image: http://fitsnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/len-anthony-100x100.jpg || By LEN ANTHONY || In 2012 after a forty-year hiatus from attending church I decided to give it another try. At the beginning of the sermon on my first Sunday back in a pew the pastor said “we here at the Antioch Church (not the real name of the church) believe the Bible is the true, inerrant word of God.” That struck me as odd. Modern physics, anthropology, archeology and DNA mapping, etc. make it clear that portions of the Bible are not true.
