A 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck Southern California on Thursday, the largest temblor to hit the region in decades. The 10:33 a.m. quake was centered in the Searles Valley, a remote area of Kern County about 100 miles from Los Angeles.

The United States Geological Survey said the quake struck at 10:33 a.m. PT. The earthquake was initially given a magnitude of 6.6, but was later revised to 6.4. No injuries were immediately reported Thursday, the San Bernardino County Fire Department said. They said buildings and roads "sustained varying degrees of damage."

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has released video of a woman, identified by police as 25-year-old Cadesha Bishop, pushing an elderly man off a bus in Las Vegas.
