A grand jury has recommended criminal charges against Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane. The grand jury found that she leaked secret grand jury information to a newspaper in an effort to smear political enemies. PJ Media has been covering Kane’s refusal to prosecute Pennsylvania Democrats who took bribes in order to oppose photo voter identification legislation in Pennsylvania. Philly News : For about six months, Special Prosecutor Thomas E. Carluccio has been directing the grand jury as it has heard testimony from numerous witnesses, including Kane and many of her top aides, to determine how details of a long-ago investigation...

HARRISBURG — Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane is recuperating from a mild concussion after an early- morning car accident last week, her office said Friday. The accident occurred in a town outside Scranton, while Kane was being driven by her security detail to "morning appointments," said spokeswoman Renee Martin. "She's on the mend," said Martin. Martin said the agent who was driving dropped his iPad on the floor of Kane's state-issued Chevy Tahoe, reached down to grab it and accidentally hit a parked car on a residential street in the town of Dunmore. Kane was not wearing a seatbelt, said...

When it comes to partisanship no one beats Pennsylvania State Attorney General Kathleen “Double Standard” Kane. From the very start of her tenure she has been a reliable “fixer” for crooked Democrats – especially those accused of voter fraud. Kane has consistently used her office to head off and stop investigations of crooked Democrats and attack Republicans as if she was the Democrat State Party Chairwoman instead of a woman elected to be the protector of rights for all Pennsylvanians. Last March when she ran out of procedural moves to stop an investigation of Black Democrats in Philadelphia on charges...

This morning, the Pennsylvania House State Government Committee held a hearing on the case of the Democrats caught accepting bribes in exchange for voting against voter ID in the state. The case against the Democrats is well-documented, yet Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane, a Democrat, scuttled it shortly after she took office. Kane also accused the career investigators who built the case of racism. That charge doesn’t stand up to any level of scrutiny. The investigation targeted Republicans and Democrats, male and female, black and white. As it so happens, only Democrats chose to accept the bribes, and those members...

Our own Christian Adams appeared on Fox & Friends today to explain the curious case of the scuttled bribery investigation in Pennsylvania. A bribery sting caught four Democrats accepting bribes for votes in the PA legislature; the Democratic Attorney General Kathleen Kane inherited the scandal investigation when she took office, and promptly scuttled it . She has even called the investigation “racist,” because while the investigation targeted Republicans and Democrats, white and black, only four black Democrats actually accepted the bribes. Adams lays out the facts. It’s a must-watch. Video: 3:24 minutes Philly Sting Shut Down - Democrats Allegedly Took...

Pennsylvania attorney general refuses to defend state marriage law Philadelphia, Pa., Jul 13, 2013 / 08:10 am (CNA/EWTN News).- The attorney general of Pennsylvania has said she will not defend a state law defining marriage as a union of a man and a woman in court because she does not agree with it. Thomas Peters, a spokesman for the National Organization for Marriage, said the action shows that the recent U.S. Supreme Court rulings favoring same-sex unions “set a bad precedent” that will allow elected officials “to not represent the will of the people when they find it expedient.” Peters...

Pennsylvania's attorney general Kathleen Kane said Thursday that she will not be defending the state in a recent lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union regarding the state's ban on same-sex marriage. Kane, a Democrat, has decided not to defend the state because she is a proponent of same-sex marriage, and therefore the responsibility to defend the state's same-sex marriage ban will now be passed to Republican Gov. Tom Corbett, who opposes same-sex marriage. Pennsylvania law states that the attorney general may pass her responsibility to defend the constitutionality of state laws to the governor's office or executive branches,...

Well, the day is finally here: Concealed carry is officially the law of the land in Wisconsin. Before today, I never had to worry about encountering covertly armed strangers during my daily routine. (Not outside of being a victim of crime, I mean. Which, I guess, for some people is the entire point.) With concealed carry laws in effect, I can't be too lax about casual encounters anymore. I have to remind myself to be aware of any sudden movements or suspicious behavior by individuals while in public space. Even driving back and forth from home to work takes on...

Clinton Campaign Vows To Check Contributions Solicited by Supporter BRISTOW, Va. -- When Hillary Rodham Clinton held an intimate fund-raising event at her Washington home in late March, Pamela Layton donated $4,600, the maximum allowed by law, to Mrs. Clinton's presidential campaign. But the 37-year-old Ms. Layton says she and her husband were reimbursed by her husband's boss for the donations. "It wasn't personal money. It was all corporate money," Mrs. Layton said outside her home here. "I don't even like Hillary. I'm a Republican." The boss is William Danielczyk, founder of a Washington-area private-equity firm and a major fund-raising...

Arkansas police authorities have sent the bodies of two people killed in a Thursday gunbattle with police to the state crime lab for identification. "We are waiting for results from the state crime laboratory. We don’t play CSI around here. We want it right.”...

Crittenden County Sheriff Dick Busby didn't even have a gun Thursday when the suspects in the slaying of two West Memphis police officers jumped out of their minivan and began spraying bullets at him and his deputy chief. "They got out shooting with what they had," Busby said Saturday from his home in Marion, hours after his release from the Regional Medical Center at Memphis. "We got back in the car," Busby said. "Then all hell broke loose." The ensuing gunbattle in the Walmart parking lot with Jerry R. Kane, 45, of Forest, Ohio, and his 16-year-old son, Joe Kane,...

May 28th 2010 — Posted to News Flash So how did it happen? How did a straightforward question and blunt answer bring anxiety to the White House? I’ll tell you the story. For over three months now, friends and others have asked me to recount the events of February 18th of this year, when a single question from me to Congressman Joe Sestak unleashed a controversy that remains to this day. Is it a political issue? Is it illegal? I can’t answer those questions, but I can tell you how casually it all happened, and what basis I had for asking...
