Pennsylvania Attorney General Kane injured in car accident, AG's office says
morning call ^ | 10-31-14 | Angela Couloumbis

HARRISBURG — Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane is recuperating from a mild concussion after an early- morning car accident last week, her office said Friday.

The accident occurred in a town outside Scranton, while Kane was being driven by her security detail to "morning appointments," said spokeswoman Renee Martin.

"She's on the mend," said Martin.

Martin said the agent who was driving dropped his iPad on the floor of Kane's state-issued Chevy Tahoe, reached down to grab it and accidentally hit a parked car on a residential street in the town of Dunmore.

Kane was not wearing a seatbelt, said Martin, although the police report on the accident said she, as well as the two members of her security detail, were wearing shoulder and seat belts.

The report described the street as dark and the roadway as wet from rain. The report did not say how fast Kane's SUV was traveling, but the speed limit on the street was 15 m.p.h. The accident occurred shortly before 7 a.m.

Neither Kane nor the other two passengers were transported to the hospital by emergency medical personnel, according to the police report. But Kane did go to the emergency room subsequently, Martin said.

The accident occurred Oct. 21, and Martin said the office was releasing the information now because of media inquiries.

Shouldn't the AG be wearing a seatbelt? Or do all those laws just apply to the regular folk?

The driver allegedly had the iPad on his lap, presumably texting/reading or otherwise distracted while driving.

Kane is the east end of a westbound horse. This might actually knock some sense into her.

” the agent who was driving dropped his iPad on the floor of Kane’s state-issued Chevy Tahoe, reached down to grab it and accidentally”

Accidentally showed that the driver is an idiot, the passenger is an idiot, and apparently iPods are okay for the kings men to mess with while driving, but don’t you dare have a cellphone!

Remember when Corzine went feet first through the windshield? Seat belt laws didn’t apply to him.

I wonder how much jail time the owner of the parked car will get?

Hope he wasn’t texting. That’s illegal.

Seat belt laws didn’t apply to him

The basic laws of physics can be difficult to avoid.

Besides those laws meant for the peons, Demonicrat politicians think they also can ignore the laws of physics. It's an example of schadenfreude when incidences like this demonstrate that they can't.

Seat belt? I’m wanting to know how many points and or fine the driver got for careless driving?
