Jeff Gordon announced that 2015 will be the last year for him to run in NASCAR full time. He hasn't ruled out individual events after 2015 but has not announced any plans. He remains an equity owner in Hendricks Motorsports and will remain active in NASCAR as an equity owner and supporting his foundation. The fact that Chase Elliott is expected to move into the Hendricks Motorsports Cup stable in 2016 probably had a to do with the announcement.

When Jeff Gordon and Pepsi teamed up in 2013 to stage an undercover “test drive” with a supposedly terrified car dealer, Jalopnik’s Travis Okulski called out the professional racer for faking the stunt, characterizing it as “duplicitous.” So Gordon decided to get back at the writer by staging another stunt. And it’s hilarious. “With a little help from Okulski’s bosses, they got Okulski into a cab in North Carolina, and, well … magic happens,”Yahoo Sports explains.

TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) -- There was a time when Jeff Gordon didn't like restrictor-plate racing. No more. Gordon proved again Sunday he is NASCAR's new king of racing at plate tracks, fighting off challenger after challenger on the way to winning the Aaron's 499 at Talladega Superspeedway in overtime. ``This is the type of racing where experience is really key,'' Gordon said. ``The more that I get used to watching my mirror, using the air and having the kind of car I had today, I feel like I get better at restrictor-plate racing.'' That's bad news for the rest of...

eff Gordon never has approached the popularity of the late Dale Earnhardt -- perhaps NASCAR's biggest star ever. But Gordon is fast approaching one of Earnhardt's greatest accomplishments. A victory last Sunday at Martinsville Speedway was Gordon's second of the year and the 71st of his career, moving him within five of matching Earnhardt's 76 wins -- fifth on NASCAR's victory list.

In just one quick Google search, I found a $2000 political contribution made by Jeff Gordon to: TRIPLETT, KEVIN R. (R) House (VA 09) TRIPLETT FOR THE NINTHThose of you posting today about which NASCAR drivers endorsed the president — and using that opportunity to bash Gordon as "gay" — are embarrassing. You're exactly the kind of people the Kerry-Edwards "Mary Cheney" stunt was meant to reach.

The new Jeff Gordon lives part time in a Manhattan apartment and takes his girlfriend to out-of-the-way nightspots. He vacations in the Hamptons. He jokes on TV about being cleaned out by divorce lawyers and freely admits that personal turmoil affected his driving last year. He's more willing to speak his mind. And he no longer goes out of his way to thank God in victory lane.

CONCORD, N.C. (AP) -- A few days of not shaving got Jeff Gordon a whole lot of attention. The four-time Winston Cup champion showed up at Lowe's Motor Speedway on Friday sporting a dark black goatee, a radical change to the clean-cut image he's presented over most of his career. The facial hair drew a flurry of attention -- cameras were constantly following him around -- and he was quizzed about it every time he stopped during his preparation for The Winston, NASCAR's all-star race. ``All I wanted to do was have a little fun,'' said Gordon, convinced by his...
