Hillary vs. Jeanine? by David Limbaugh January 27, 2005 10:10 AM You Hillary watchers out there need to sit up and take notice of this little item in the New York Daily News today. Seems that some are suggesting the tough and brilliant Westchester County District Attorney Jeanine Pirro, is considering challenging Hillary -- I'll-do-anything-to-be-president-including-pretending-to-abandon-all-my-core-beliefs -- Clinton, for her New York Senate seat in 2006. Hillary may be tough, but Mrs. Pirro is too. I've been extremely impressed with this lady every time I've heard her speak, on Hannity and Colmes and elsewhere. No matter what Mrs. Pirro's...

The Westchester District Attorney is choosing between a tough campaign for the job of State Attorney General and a dramatic, perhaps kamikaze race for Hillary Clinton’s Senate seat, with a Fox News gig as the consolation prize."

White Plains SHE sits at the computer facing the rear wall in her arena-sized office, American flag on one side, New York State flag on the other, her fingers clack, clack, clacking across the keyboard with such force you worry she'll break it. Desk knickknacks read "Nothing Is Impossible" and "I Am Woman. I Am Invincible. I Am Tired." More clack, clack, clacking. By the time she finally turns around, not looking remotely tired, you almost expect trumpets to start blaring the opening notes of Strauss's "Also Sprach Zarathustra." Forget that cliffhanger ending on Wisteria Lane. The most compelling suburban...

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Westchester County District Attorney Jeanine Pirro said Monday she will seek statewide office in 2006, possibly by running for the U.S. Senate against Hillary Rodham Clinton. Pirro said she will decide later this year which office to seek, and mentioned three possibilities: state attorney general, the Senate, and governor, if Republican George Pataki decides against another term. Asked if she thought she could beat Clinton, Pirro refused to answer directly but said: "I have never been afraid of challenges, no matter how daunting." A top Clinton adviser, Howard Wolfson, declined to comment. A statewide poll earlier...

Westchester County District Attorney Jeanine Pirro is expected to announce at a press conference later today that she will not be seeking a fourth term. New York Republican insiders tell NewsMax that Pirro will soon make known plans to challenge Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton for her seat next year. In her announcement today, Pirro will indicate she is not running for re-election so that she can "seek a higher office," an insider told NewsMax. Pirro will not explicitly mention Hillary Clinton or a Senate bid. A source familiar with Pirro's inner circle, however, tells NewsMax that she definitely believes Hillary...

When Sen. Hillary Clinton runs for reelection in 2006, her opponent might just be another high-profile attorney from Westchester. Westchester County District Attorney Jeanine Pirro is considering challenging the former First Lady, according to political insiders. The GOP crimefighter, who is running for reelection this year, is not publicly discussing plans for higher office. But Pirro has a dizzying fund-raising schedule and the enthusiastic backing of Gov. Pataki. "We love Jeanine," said a source in Pataki's camp. Sources say it is becoming less likely by the day that former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who may be eying the White House, will...
