The body of a missing Jewish woman from the Binyamin District of the West Bank was found by police last week after her Arab boyfriend confessed to strangling her and bashing her head with rocks in Holon to “release Palestinian prisoners.” Police first received a report that Michal Halimi, 29, who was pregnant and married to another man, was missing at the end of May and launched an investigation to find her. A gag order, lifted Wednesday, was implemented for the duration of the search.

How you can stop anti-Israel incitement on campus. When President Trump presented his budget, he defunded Title VI from $72 million to zero. But it’s up to Congress to make it happen. What’s Title VI? Title VI of the Higher Education Act set out to fund international studies that would promote our national security. But on many campuses, Title VI centers undermine our national security by supporting Islamic terrorists. The Higher Education Opportunity Act mandated that Title VI centers reflect a “wide range of views”. Instead when it comes to the Middle East, Title VI centers have only one point...

A new video shows footage of civilians holding the terrorist to the floor and searching him for the knife. Later, police arrive and handcuff the suspect. In the video, civilians can be heard calling, "Where's the knife? Where's the knife? Where's the knife you, son of a wh***?" and "Did you call an ambulance?" The terrorist stabbed a 43-year-old man at a supermarket in the central city of Yavneh on Wednesday morning, just before noon. Police say the incident was a terror attack. United Hatzalah EMT Netanel Moyal said, "While I was at work near the location of the incident...

Ministry of Defense shows off new APC turret.. (photo credit:DEFENSE MINISTRY) The Defense Ministry has started testing an upgraded version of its Namer heavy armored personnel carrier, fitted for the first time with a 30mm turret to make it better suited for urban combat. “An APC equipped with a turret and cannon gives it an advantage during urban warfare,” stated Brig.-Gen. Baruch Matzliach, head of the Tank Program Administration. “The shortened cannon makes it more maneuverable, and [gives] the ability to provide firepower to infantry soldiers. It also lets infantry soldiers be more independent on the battlefield, with less dependence...

Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday met with a delegation of Hamas officials in his offices in Ramallah, Yediot Aharonot reported. Heading the Hamas delegation was former minister Nasser al-Din al-Shaer, the report said. The rare meeting dealt with inter-Palestinian reconciliation efforts. Hamas officials also congratulated Abbas on his handling of the Temple Mount crisis. The meeting is surprising given the longstanding feud between Hamas and Abbas’s Fatah, which began in 2007, when Hamas violently took control of Gaza in a bloody coup. …

29 years ago this fortnight, Pakistan's dictator -- the general who made jihad an integral part of Pakistani State policy -- died in a mysterious air crash. Did the KGB, the then USSR's dreaded espionage agency, assassinate Zia-ul Haq? Was India's RA&W responsible for blowing Zia's military aircraft out of the skies? Was it Zia's many enemies in Pakistan's military? Was it a case of exploding mangoes as Mohammad Hanif speculated in his fascinating novel about Zia's death? Or was the assassin someone else? Kallol Bhattacherjee delves into the persistent puzzle of Muhammad Zia-ul Haq's death. IMAGE: General Zia-ul Haq...

At 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Israeli police say, authorities arrested five Palestinian antiquities dealers in Jerusalem and confiscated items dating back thousands of years from their homes and shops: papyrus fragments from the Egyptian Book of the Dead, the bust of an Etruscan woman, a fresco from Pompeii depicting swimming fish. They also seized more modern objects — two black luxury Audi vehicles — and more than $200,000 in cash.

During the eight years of the Obama administration, half a million Christians, Yazidis and Muslims were slaughtered in the Middle East by ISIS and other Islamic jihadists, in a genocidal campaign waged in the name of Islam and its God. Twenty million others were driven into exile by these same jihadist forces. Libya and Yemen became terrorist states. America - once the dominant foreign power and anti-jihadist presence in the region – was replaced by Russia, an ally of the monster regimes in Syria and Iran, and their terrorist proxies. Under the patronage of the Obama administration, Iran - the...

It’s high time for the international community to wake up to certain Palestinian realities that many would rather avoid. Recent events in the region — including the brutal killing of two Israeli policemen and three members of an Israeli family — as well as the wild conspiracy stories circulated in regard to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, only underscore the point. By the way, for the purpose of context, I write as the representative of an organization, the AJC, that has long been committed to the search for an enduring two-state agreement, coexistence between Muslims and Jews and friendly ties...

Arabs attacked Israeli police on the Temple Mount Thursday as Muslim worshipers returned to the holy site after a 10-day boycott to protest Israeli security measures. Livestreamed footage taken from the Mount of Olives, overlooking the Temple mount, showed thousands of people milling around the site, with the sounds of gunshots and ambulance sirens clearly heard. The clashes took place hours after Islamic authorities who are responsible for maintenance at the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque agreed to call off the boycott after Israeli authorities dismantled security cameras and metal detectors at entrances to the Mount. The security...

Jerusalem (AFP) - Palestinians ended a boycott and entered a sensitive Jerusalem holy site for the first time in two weeks Thursday after Israel removed controversial security measures there, potentially ending a crisis that sparked deadly unrest. AFP journalists saw thousands of worshippers streaming into the Haram al-Sharif compound, known to Jews as the Temple Mount, for afternoon prayers. The site includes the Al-Aqsa mosque and the Dome of the Rock.

The US State Department defended an annual report on terrorism under fire from pro-Israel groups for saying that a “lack of hope” drives Palestinian Arab violence. Meanwhile, the umbrella foreign policy group for Jewish organizations expressed its “deep concerns” about the report, saying it shifts responsibility for terrorism from the Palestinians to Israel. “In that report we consistently highlight terror attacks perpetrated against Israelis – and I’m just talking about the Israel portion – because this is a worldwide report,” Heather Nauert, the State Department spokeswoman, said Tuesday in a briefing when asked about a call from the Zionist Organization...

The Mufti of Jerusalem announced this morning, Thursday, that the situation on the Temple Mount has returned to how it was before the placement of the metal detectors, and that it is now permissible for Muslims to pray on the Temple Mount. A senior police official said this morning, “We have returned almost completely to the situation before the attack on the Temple Mount. We must monitor the reaction on the ground in the coming hours. As we understand it, the worshipers are supposed to ascend the Mount.” The words come after police last night removed newly-installed railings and scaffolding...

The Israeli government missed the point of Palestinian anger directed at metal detectors placed at entrances to the Temple Mount and, having misdiagnosed the situation, made a decision that failed to resolve the crisis and has only made it worse. At least, that’s what many of the Muslim protesters in the streets of Jerusalem’s Old City have been saying since the metal detectors were removed early Tuesday morning. Israel thought it was making a concession by removing the detectors, which were installed after three Arab Israelis carried out a shooting attack at the Temple Mount, killing two policemen with weapons...

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday urged all Muslims to visit and protect Jerusalem after violence broke out over metal detectors that Israel installed and later removed from a sensitive holy site in the city. "From here I make a call to all Muslims. Anyone who has the opportunity should visit Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa mosque," Erdogan said in Ankara. "Come, let's all protect Jerusalem." He was referring to the site, known to Jews as the Temple Mount, which is central to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on Muslims worldwide to “defend al-Aksa,” as the government’s decision late Monday night to remove controversial metal detectors at the site did not have an immediate calming effect.Erdogan issued a blistering attack on Israel at a meeting in Turkey’s Parliament of his AKP Party.“Israel has taken a dangerous path. By occupying the al-Aksa Mosque, Israel has exceeded the boundaries,” the Turkish president said, adding that Turkey recognizes Palestine with a capital in east Jerusalem and Israel with its capital in Tel Aviv. While many Israelis may not love the Palestinians, a vast majority want peace with them and wish them a good life; the same cannot be said coming in the other direction Actctive attempts by US administrations to broker a peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians have been going on since the days of Richard Nixon. With over 40 years of failure, one might reason that there would be some soul-searching in Washington before trying again to make what President Donald Trump has described as the “ultimate deal.” Unfortunately, such introspection is rare and as such true progress remains elusive....

Arabs live among themselves in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Jordan, Egypt - no Jews except a few - but are they happy? No, still they’re miserable: family feuds, tribal grudges, civil wars, thousands killed, millions homeless, brother against brother. President Trump needs to have a talk with Rex Tillerson. Tillerson’s State Department has issued a report that blames Israel for…EVERYTHING. Nobody saw that coming. Well I sure didn’t. Love Trump. Tillerson, not so much, even from the start. The report okays Arab violence as a means to redress “frustrations” and “disappointments”…such as “lack of hope in achieving Palestinian statehood.” The Jews,...
