I was just watching an On-Demand episode 9 of Season 2 of Stitchers on Comcast Xfinity when a Gray Box flashed on the screen about 8 inches by 6 inches with the words, as best as I could read it and recall it: Operation Iraq: MOVE!### ### #### Below those words in the box were a series of numbers that may have been a phone number, but I don't recall any of the numbers. The second set of numbers may have had four digits, not three, but my impression was the pattern was a phone number. There were no dashes...

A trace of radioactive Iodine-131 of unknown origin was in January detected over large areas in Europe. Since the isotope has a half-life of only eight days, the detection is a proof of a rather recent release. Where the radioactivity is coming from is still a mystery. The air filter station at Svanhovd was the first to measure small amounts of the radioactive Ionide-131 in the second week of January. The station is located a few hundred metres from Norway’s border to Russia’s Kola Peninsula in the north. Soon, the same Iodine-131 isotope was measured in Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland....

Gregory Stevens. Thus ended one of the more improbable friendships that Hollywood and Washington have known - and a globe-trotting, adventurous, but ultimately debilitating existence that might be fodder for a Tinseltown thriller, if it only had a satisfying resolution. Before its abrupt end, Mr. Stevens's journey had taken him from the beaches of San Clemente, Calif., and the slopes of Sun Valley,...
