Al-Qaeda, the Obama administration has told us repeatedly, is on the path to defeat. Now it’s literally on the road to Baghdad. This week, al-Qaeda in Iraq, now known as ISIS, retook Iraq’s second city, Mosul, where it put up its last spasms of resistance back in 2008. Then it retook Tikrit, Saddam Hussein’s hometown, and reports suggest it’s moving rapidly toward Iraq’s capital city. The Iraqi army has put up little resistance, and the government, led by Nouri al-Maliki, is only now scrambling to respond. At best, it is in for a long war with ISIS, which controls a...

Most bullies run like rats when you confront them head-on, and this includes the purveyors of the toxic ideology they (not I) call Islam -- at least in a civilized country where they cannot run to compliant and/or corrupt jurists who will enforce a speech code. The agenda of using Islam as a cover for a war against human rights, and Civilization itself, stops here, and it stops now. General Patton said, "It is difficult to make our fine American youth understand that the enemy wants to kill him. …I use the language of soldiers who are ready to kill."...

The left laughs and the right groans as Ann Coulter, once again, has managed to confound and amaze with her special brand of self-promotional crazy. She couldn’t have seen it coming, but at least some entertainment value came out of it. It started Sunday night, when Coulter took her circus to Twitter to mock the #BringBackOurGirls hashtag, which was created earlier this month to draw support for the missing schoolgirls in Nigeria. Nothing like distorting good-faith efforts into Twitter snark to fit some monotonous political narrative. To be fair, Coulter wasn’t the only one who took a few jabs at...

Do you guys think that Muslims will use Harvard's decision to perform a Black Mass as propaganda to prove that the United States is indeed the Great Satan we are always accused us of being? I do think so, this will be a ripe chance for Jihadis to justify their attacks on us, as a righteous and genuinely holy war. Americans openly worhsiping the Devil in a Satanic ritual and this might very well be plastered all over the Muslim media in the Middle East.

We must stand up to terrorism,” bleated Hillary Clinton a few days ago in a tweet expressing outrage against BokoHaram, the jihadist organization that has abducted hundreds of young girls in Nigeria. Yet, when she was actually in a position to stand up to Boko Haram’s terrorism as secretary of state, Mrs. Clinton instead protected the group. At the Daily Beast, Josh Rogin reports: The State Department under Hillary Clinton fought hard against placing the al Qaeda-linked militant group Boko Haram on its official list of foreign terrorist organizations for two years. And now, lawmakers and former U.S. officials are saying that the decision may have hampered the...

Sami Osmakac toyed with the idea of blowing up Tampa Bay bridges or the sheriff’s office. The defense is arguing that Sami suffers from mental illness. The Tampa Tribune reportedL Sami Osmakac toyed with the idea of blowing up the bridges crossing Tampa Bay or detonating bombs at the sheriff’s office and police departments before settling on a plan to plant explosives in Tampa’s Hyde Park party district and then spraying first responders with automatic gunfire, according to recently released court documents. Hamaha's death was confirmed by a regional security source who said...

Militant Islamist rebels in Syria linked to Al-Qaeda have asked for “understanding and forgiveness” for cutting off and putting on display the wrong man’s head. In a public appearance filmed and posted online, members of Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham, one brandishing a knife, held up a bearded head before a crowd in Aleppo. They triumphantly described the execution of what they said was a member of an Iraqi Shia militia fighting for President Bashar Al-Assad. But the head was recognised from the video as belonging to a member of Ahrar Al-Sham, a Sunni Islamist rebel group that often...

There's a very big story developing in Turkey that all foreign policy mavens should be watching closely. Exactly how big remains to be seen, but the stakes are huge. At issue: Will the decade-long domination of Turkish politics by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Islamist-leaning Justice and Development Party (AKP) continue? Or is the Erdogan era about to come crashing down, fatally weakened by scandal, infighting, and authoritarian overreach? Early Tuesday morning, police in Istanbul and Ankara carried out a wave of stunning arrests that included powerful businessmen, the sons of three cabinet ministers, and the head of...

Sweden is in full surrender to sharia, dying for its apathy and accommodation to the horrors of Islam. According to authorities, a 34-year-old Somali Islamist, who violently raped a dying Swedish woman and continued to rape her dead body, will not be deported. On September 27th, 2013 the man in question, along with another man, violated a Swedish woman in a garage in Stockholm. The woman slipped into an unconscious state during the attack, but was not dead at the beginning of the attack. She was actively dying, no doubt due to the extreme trauma she was under. However, she...

For decades his picture dominated Turkey, piercing blue eyes staring from hoardings, keeping watch over city streets and army barracks. Schoolyards echoed every morning to his oath: "Happy is he who can say 'I am a Turk!'" Now that oath rings out no more and the image of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, founder of the secular republic, seems for some to be retreating into the shadows, victim of a new ruling class they suspect of cherishing a new more 'Islamic' Turkey. Turkey's "Kemalists" flinch at Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan advising women on the number of children they should have, fostering restrictions...

In a sickening video posted on YouTube, soldiers from the Syrian-based group Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) were seen holding up the decapitated head of a soldier they believed was a supporter of President Bashar al-Assad. But, after the footage was made public, the victim was recognised by an extremist as a fellow rebel fighter who had been wounded during a battle. The militants have now asked for forgiveness. The situation for women has worsened in Egypt since the 2011 revolution, while Iraqi women now suffer greater violence and discrimination than under Saddam Hussein. Egypt is the worst country in the Arab world to be a woman, according to a poll of gender experts which found high levels of sexual harassment and female genital mutilation as well as an increase in violence and Islamist sentiment following the 2011 revolution. Hopes that the Arab Spring would improve the lot of women in Egypt have not only been confounded, their situation has in fact worsened ... Syria has in the past...

I was born at the beginning of the Second World War into a family of high school teachers who were members of the Communist Party, and therefore were actually part of a vast conspiracy dedicated to the destruction of this country, although they would never have looked at it that way, and so-called liberals would be the first to deny it. n those days, the schools were old fashioned enough that my parents did not use their classrooms to indoctrinate students as tens of thousands of university professors and even more K-12 teachers regularly do today. It is also an...

The woman in a full-length burka walked calmly into the drab government office. She moved close to the desk behind which an administrator was shuffling his papers. Others queued around her. Suddenly, without warning, she detonated the suicide vest she was wearing. The explosion flashed a brilliant white on the grainy CCTV before the cameras cut out, obliterating everything – and everyone – in the room.
