In the outer cosmos of the blogosphere, the presidential election isn’t over. Barack Obama, now busily forming his administration, isn’t just the wrong person to lead the nation, claim Web sites such as America Must Know and Right Side News. He is, they contend, constitutionally ineligible to be president. The argument is over his place of birth — Hawaii, if you accept statements by Hawaiian officials, his 1961 birth notice in a Honolulu newspaper and a certified document his campaign obtained 18 months ago. Still, legions of anti-Obama bloggers are so convinced he was born in Kenya that they’ve filed...

Dorgan Won't Be Energy Secretary Sen. Byron Dorgan is no longer under consideration to be secretary of energy in President-elect Barack Obama's administration, a decision based on a belief within the former Illinois Senator's inner circle that the North Dakota Democrat is more valuable to them where he is, according to transition officials. "Senator Dorgan would be a fantastic Energy Secretary but because he is too important as a red state senator and a powerful ally, he is best suited to help advance President-elect Obama's agenda in the Senate," said a transition official granted anonymity to speak candidly about internal...

CHICAGO - President-elect Barack Obama announced support Sunday for a short-term government bailout of the nation's carmakers that is tied to industry restructuring. He also accused auto executives of a persistent "head-in-the sand approach" to long-festering problems. Obama said Congress was doing "the exact right thing" in drafting legislation that "holds the auto industry's feet to the fire" at the same time it tries to prevent its demise. In an appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press" and later at a news conference, Obama at one point suggested some executives should lose their jobs.

Friday, December 5 is when the Supreme Court will meet "in conference" regarding whether or not Barack Obama's birth certificate shows him to be a natural-born citizen of the United States. There are many who believe that he is not that. If the Supreme Court sides with fact, then truth will prevail. If not, then the Supreme Court will become an accomplice to devilment maximum, the latter no stranger to America's grassroots. If Obama is found to be other than a natural-born citizen, then all that he has done thus far is null and void. All that he appoints for...

Obama has let the camel's nose, into the tent. Hillary can now smell her goal. One guy is in her way. A successful Obama term, and his re-election would pretty much eliminate any chance Hillary ever would have of being president. She's no spring chicken. Eight years is a long time for her to be playing second fiddle to someone with no experience.

The economic recession will get significantly worse before it starts to improve, President-elect Barack Obama said in an interview broadcast Sunday, seeking to tamp down expectations that have risen as he prepares to assume the presidency in 44 days. “If you look at the unemployment numbers ... the fragility of the financial system and the fact that it’s an international system,” the recession “is a big problem, and it’s going to get worse,” Obama told NBC News’ Tom Brokaw on Saturday. The interview aired Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” Acknowledging that his agenda had changed sharply just in the...

Mr. President-elect, surely you know that there is a 'tempest in the teapot' brewing regarding the vault version of your birth certificate. And, only you, Sir, can bring closure to this issue. Mr. Obama, show your birth certificate for the sake of all the people who supported and voted for you... and, also to quiet (once, and for all) the skeptics, naysayers, and people who deem your Presidency 'illegitmate'.. With out a doubt, your history making ascension to the highest office in the land has brought, and continues to bring, unexplainable pride to millions of people of color, not just...

Obama won't sneak smokes in WH By: Mike Allen December 7, 2008 09:55 AM EST President-elect Obama says he and Michelle Obama plan to open the White House to local pupils as a “bully pulpit” to inspire youth to reach for the stars in science, education, music and poetry. “Part of what we want to do is to open up the White House and remind people this is the people's house,” Obama told NBC’s Tom Brokaw during a “Meet the Press” interview taped Saturday in Chicago. “There is an incredible bully pulpit to be used when it comes to, for...

When I first started writing on the constitutional eligibility of both Barack Obama and John McCain after the conventions, I thought the issue would be quickly silenced. Forgive my chuckling and a cheer as the forces of the Constitution continue their valiant charge for that "damn piece of paper."

The most troubling of the troublesome questions is why Mr. Obama didn’t immediately release his vaulted, original birth certificate for examination. This act would have not only eliminated a potential stumbling block for his campaign, but it would have certified his eligibility for the office of President of the United States and saved the taxpayers the cost of judicial intervention. Instead, under the pretext of visiting an ailing grandmother in Hawaii just days before the 2008 Presidential Election, Mr. Obama had his vaulted, original birth certificate sealed by Hawaii’s governor, Linda Lingle (R).

CHICAGO – President-elect Barack Obama braced the country for more tough times Sunday, saying twice in an interview that the nation’s already dismal economy would continue to worsen in the months ahead. Obama, speaking to Tom Brokaw on NBC’s “Meet the Press,†used some of his starkest language yet to underscore the severity of the challenge he’ll face upon taking office next month. “If you look at the unemployment numbers that came out yesterday, if you think about almost 2 million jobs lost so far, if you think about the fragility of the financial system and the fact that it...

Hillary Clinton is hiring some of her most aggressive aides to watch her back when she becomes Secretary of State, sparking concerns among allies of President-Elect Barack Obama that the primary election season's partisan aggression will carry into government. The former first lady has indicated that she wants to rebuild "Hillaryland", her coterie of controlling, defensive and at times paranoid circle of admirers and supporters at the heart of US diplomacy. Three members of Mrs Clinton's inner circle have already been told they will get top State Department jobs ... Maggie Williams, Mrs Clinton's longtime confidante, who was called in...

US President-elect Barack Obama to offer Iran carrot stick From correspondents in Washington Reuters December 08, 2008 03:00am US President-elect Barack Obama said today he was prepared to offer Iran economic incentives to stop its nuclear program, but he also warned that sanctions could be toughened if it refused. "We are willing to talk to them directly and give them a clear choice and ultimately let them make a determination in terms of whether they want to do this the hard way or the easy way," Mr Obama told NBC's Meet the Press program. Dealing with Iran's uranium enrichment program,...

President-elect Barack Obama added sweep and meat to his economic agenda on Saturday, pledging the largest new investment in roads and bridges since President Dwight D. Eisenhower built the Interstate system in the late 1950s, and tying his key initiatives – education, energy, health care –back to jobs in a package that has the makings of a smaller and modern version of FDR's New Deal marriage of job creation with infrastructure upgrades. The president-elect also said for the first time that he will “launch the most sweeping effort to modernize and upgrade school buildings that this country has ever seen.”...

The government should have an affirmative duty to investigate candidate qualifications and to make public any documentation thereof; after all, when they apply for the highest office in the land, they should be held to the strict constitutional standard and every citizen has a right to see that the Constitution is followed. Certain elements of the blogosphere have recently paid a tremendous amount of attention to the question of whether or not the state of Hawaii should be required to produce the original birth certificate of president elect Obama. Regardless of claims that this is a red herring, or assertions...

Volume 107, No. 1 (September 2008) An Online Symposium on Senator John McCain and Natural Born Citizenship Senator John McCain, the current Republican Party nominee for President, was born in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936. The circumstances of his birth raise the question of whether he is a "natural born citizen" as required by Article II, section 1 of the Constitution. The symposium contributors explore both the substance of this issue and the methods used to resolve it. Why Senator John McCain Cannot be President: Eleven Months and a Hundred Yards Short of Citizenship [HTML] [PDF] Gabriel J. Chin,...

I received the following e-mail from one of the electors I have been sending letters to: December 6, 2008 I have been asked by some concerned citizens as part of my Constitutional responsibility as a member of the College of Electors to review the evidence and make a determination regarding the natural born citizenship of Barack Hussein Obama II, or to join in a lawsuit against him in this matter. They have also forwarded a great deal of information to me which I have now reviewed. After reading this information it is my opinion that none of it is conclusive...

With protesters gathering and praying on the front steps, the U.S. Supreme Court met in conference today to discuss whether or not to hear a case challenging Barack Obama's eligibility to be president. "Obama was born a dual citizen," protester Roger Bredow told the Washington, D.C., local events blog, DCist. "British, and a citizen of the United States, at birth." According to Bredow – and the case the Supreme Court reviewed today – dual citizenship makes Obama ineligible to take the oath of office. Where's the proof Barack Obama was born in the U.S.

I received in an e-mail a question. (I answered it,) (see Below) It basically asks: If a Reservist,National guard member becomes mobilized AFTER Jan 20th and gets put on one of the following orders, can he/she decline due to an illegal order being issued by a non qualified president? Title 10 U.S.C. 12302 provides that, in time of national emergency declared by the PRESIDENT, up to 1 million members of the Ready Reserve can be called to active duty for not more than 24 consecutive months. Similar to the previous authority, DOD stated that this statute could also provide access...
