By now most Americans, for or against, get the idea. All an individual or family need do to live in America, and off the avails of the American taxpayer, is to arrive at an approved port of entry and “lodge a legal claim to stay.â€Â That’s it. The same understanding animates an entire, parasitical industry that has arisen to coach the claimants in their claims-making. The refugee and illegal-migrant racket sprung-up on the backs of the American people is Third World cronyism at its best. “The Trump administration plans to pay a Texas nonprofit nearly half a billion dollars, this year, to care...

It's no surprise that Democrats and everyone in the liberal media are blaming President Trump personally for the crying immigrant children at the border. He gets blamed for everything their hysterical minds can think of. But it's not up to him to fix what's wrong with our messed-up immigration policies. It's up to Congress. The problem is, as Americans can see for themselves every day, Congress is broken and crawling with spineless politicians. Our senators and representatives can't or won't come up with an immigration reform bill and send it to the president's desk any time soon - just like...

TUCSON, Ariz. — When Luis Cruz left behind his wife, four of their children and the house he’d built himself, he’d heard that American officials might split him from his son, the one child he took with him. But earlier this month, the two of them set out from Guatemala anyway. The truth, he said this week, moments after they arrived at a cream-colored migrant shelter in Tucson, was that he would rather be apart from his child than face what they had left behind. “If they separate us, they separate us,” said Mr. Cruz, 41. {snip} “This is the...

Throughout the entire mainstream media manufactured crisis of illegal immigrant children separated from their mothers at the border there has been a constant search for that one photo of a crying child who would be the face of the media’s feigned outrage. TIME Magazine thought they had found that photo, when they published their latest issue and included a photo of a crying Hispanic child looking at President Trump with the caption “Welcome to America”. It turns out, however, the crying 2-year-old was never separated from her mother, as the girl’s father revealed yesterday that “they’re together and safe”. In...

Several illegal immigrants were arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents at a checkpoint established along a New Hampshire interstate this week. The Nashua Patch reported that five immigrants from Brazil, China, Ecuador, El Salvador and Mexico were detained and are set to be deported. The outlet reported that this is the third immigration checkpoint held in New Hampshire in the last year. This one was held in Woodstock along Interstate 93, approximately 100 miles from the U.S.-Canada border. Seventeen people were arrested at another checkpoint last month, The Boston Globe reported. "Checkpoint operations are a critical enforcement...

The father of the Honduran girl who became the face of the family separation crisis has revealed that he still has not been in touch with his wife or daughter but was happy to learn they are safe. Denis Javier Varela Hernandez, 32, said that he had not heard from his wife Sandra, 32, who was with his two-year-old daughter Yanela Denise, for nearly three weeks until he saw the image of them being apprehended in Texas. In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, Hernandez, who lives in Puerto Cortes, Honduras, says that he was told yesterday that his wife and...

Need proof that the current controversy over children of undocumented immigrants is more political than humanitarian? Hillary Clinton said she was "adamantly against illegal immigrants" and supported a border wall until she ran for president in 2016. In his 1995 State of the Union address, President Bill Clinton said: "All Americans, not only in the states most heavily affected, but in every place in this country are rightly disturbed by the large numbers of illegal aliens entering our country. The jobs they hold might otherwise be held by citizens or legal immigrants. The public services they use impose burdens on...

WASHINGTON — Immigrant children as young as 14 housed at a juvenile detention center in Virginia say they were beaten while handcuffed and locked up for long periods in solitary confinement, left nude and shivering in concrete cells... ...Most children held in the Shenandoah facility who were the focus of the abuse lawsuit were caught crossing the border illegally alone. They were not the children who have been separated from their families under the Trump administration’s recent policy and are now in the government’s care. But the facility there operates under the same program run by the U.S. Office of...

So what are we supposed to be outraged about today? There’s always something, and it’s always the worst thing in the history of ever. And it’s almost always a scam designed to manipulate you into obeying the liberal elite. That’s the real outrage. My friend and fellow Townhall columnist Derek Hunter has a new book out designed to help you detect and defeat this shameless grift, Outrage, Inc.: How the Liberal Mob Ruined Science, Journalism, and Hollywood. It’s essential reading because the sooner we can get people woke to the con, the sooner people will stop falling for this nonsense. What's the latest?...

Paris. The year is 1788. The air is heavy with the scent of impending revolution. Some praise the king in hushed whispers, others shout “Liberté! Egalité! Fraternité!” in the streets. Either way, the time for talk is over. How did it get to this point? The hopeful specter of radical liberalism played its part, as the father of modern conservatism Edmund Burke observes in his masterpiece Reflections on the Revolution in France. But most men aren’t dreamers. Most live parochial lives and think parochial thoughts—there’s no time to dream when you’re working to put bread on the table. For the...

Are these detained illegal immigrants with small crying children allowed to be released on bail? SJW's should flood the immigration courts, offering to post bail, even placing their houses up for bond, to get these suffering parents and children released to them. Then they can make sure that the immigrants show up for court.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) announced Tuesday that the state will file a "multi-agency lawsuit against the Trump administration for violating the Constitutional rights of immigrant children and their families who have been separated at the border." Cuomo pointed to more than 70 children who are staying in federal shelters in New York, adding that the number is expected to increase as other facilities are contacted.

WASHINGTON — Immigration and Customs Enforcement last year carried out more than 72,000 deportations of parents who said they had U.S.-born children, according to reports to Congress obtained Wednesday by The Huffington Post. The reports were sent by ICE in April to the Senate Appropriations Committee and the Senate Judiciary Committee, as required by law. ICE confirmed the authenticity of the two reports, which lay out 72,410 removals of immigrants who said they had one or more U.S.-born children in 2013. The reports show that even parents of U.S. citizens are among the hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants being...

A Honduran national in the United States illegally has been charged with killing two women in Miami over the past three months and dumping their bodies on the street, police announced Monday. Democrats would like you to think he came up with it on his own, but Trump’s separation of migrant families is a cruel twist on an Obama-era practice. ... The whole episode perfectly illustrates how immigration — or the government’s mistreatment of migrants, to be specific — has of late turned into a game of political hot potato, not helped by the fact that it’s an incredibly confusing issue. The nearly 1,500 missing children were widely conflated with Trump’s family-separation policy, for instance, but those kids were actually minors who crossed the border by themselves. There’s also the recent ACLU...

Hillary Clinton said, "Jesus Christ said, 'Suffer the little children unto me' not 'let the little children suffer.'" Three former first ladies — Hillary Clinton, Laura Bush and Michelle Obama — have stepped out their political retirement to condemn the Trump administration's practice of separating parents and children at the border while parents are prosecuted for illegally entering the country. Speaking at a women's group in New York City on Monday, Clinton called family separation "an affront to our values" and said she had warned Trump's immigration policy would lead to this during her 2016 presidential campaign against him. And...
