But earlier this month, the two of them set out from Guatemala anyway. Many families — especially those from countries in Central America plagued by gang violence and ruined economies — are making the calculation that even separation or detention in the United States is better than the situation at home.

Across the border in the Mexican town of Nogales, many parents preparing to cross the border said temporary separation from their children in the United States would be better than facing the violence back home.

Even with steep drops in the number of recorded murders in the past year, El Salvador and Honduras, the home countries of many migrants, are still among the most dangerous countries in the world. Poverty is hammering away at livelihoods in much of Central America, and for some, the decision to leave is a gamble on a better life.

4.) ELIMINATE THE IDEA/RULE/LAW THAT ALL KIDS MUST BE ALLOWED TO GO TO SCHOOL, ILLEGAL OR NOT, AND END THEIR FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH PROGRAMS. AND NO IN STATE TUITION

5.) MAKE E-VERIFY THE LAW OF THE LAND INSTEAD OF A VOLUNTARY POLICY

Without the Birthright Citizenship, the benefits obtained thereafter, and the ability to get a job, we wouldn’t need the wall, but it’d still be wonderful to have. As for refugees, find areas near their ancestral homes and set them up there. Cheaper and eventually they can walk back across the border, back home.
