BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Investigators say a motorist who was apparently agitated over an evacuation route was wounded after exchanging gunfire with deputies in Moncks Corner Wednesday afternoon. Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis said the gunfight happened at an employees' parking lot at the Dupont plant on Cypress Gardens Road.
