Pictures of a piece of Noah's Ark on Mount Ararat (meaning: sacred land or high land), eastern Turkey or former western Armenia, because Noah's Ark is in pieces!

Many believe that Mount Ararat in Turkey hold the remains of Noah's Ark.

Ed Davis viewed Noah's Ark sometime in July, 1943. The Ark was located on the northeastern side of Mount Ararat in the Kars province. It was in two parts -- the smaller section some one-half mile from the main structure. Somewhere between 100 and 200 feet of the Ark was uncovered at this time. All the wood within and without the Ark is petrified. Wooden pegs, not metal spikes, were used in its construction and the larger beams have splices. The Ark is pitched for preservation and a watertight seal. The one large door was still intact and was in...

Ninety-seven percent of scientists agree: Climate change is real, man-made and dangerous. President Obama tweeted that, and it has been repeated by countless others. It is tempting for a politician to claim that 97 percent of experts agree with you. But do they? The 97 percent claim was taken from a study paper by Australian John Cook, Climate Communications Fellow for the Global change Institute at the University of Queensland, and his colleagues, published in the journal Environmental Research Letters in May, 2013. The paper says nothing about the would-be dangers of climate change and it counts the number of...

The iconic Mount Everest could see a major loss of its glaciers over the course of this century, according to a new scientific study that its chief author calls the “the first detailed modelling study of all glaciers in the Dudh Koshi basin in the Everest region of Nepal.” The paper, published Wednesday in the journal The Crocosphere, was authored by glacier researcher Joseph Shea and several colleagues from France and the Netherlands. “The biggest result here is that the glaciers in the basin, we find them to be more sensitive to temperature than anyone expected before,” says Shea. To...

In a campaign event last week, Republican presidential frontrunner Jeb Bush exhibited Stage 2 climate denial. Unfortunately, denial of human-caused global warming may be a prerequisite for any viable Republican presidential candidate. Conservative and Tea Party Republicans are the one group of American voters among whom Stage 2 climate denial is the majority position, but they’re also the group that most reliably votes in GOP primary elections. Nevertheless, the scientific evidence supporting human-caused global warming is just as strong as the evidence linking smoking and lung cancer. Last year, the IPCC stated with 95% confidence that humans are the main...

Gotnews.com has identified the “Adam” of the Columbia fake rape story: Marcus Hunter. We gave “Adam” until 7 PM PST to apologize to Paul Nungesser for falsely accusing him of sexual assault. I'm giving "Adam" until 7 PM to apologize to #PaulNungesser & then I'll publish his name for lying about rape. Cc: @teoarmus #EmmaSulkowicz — Charles C. (VIDEO-AT-LINK)LINDENHURST, N.Y. (PIX11)– Suffolk County police are investigating a possible hate crime targeting an African-American family in Lindenhurst. Ronica Copes, a resident of the suburban neighborhood, received a letter saying “YOU DON’T BELONG HERE” and other hateful words on Thursday. Understandably so, she was disappointed at the sight of the hateful letter. “Unbelievable but then it’s not…our daily reality, I’ve just never seen it in this form,” Copes posted on Facebook. The writer of the flyer who says “Lidenhurst is 84 percent white” urges Copes in bold capital letters to “LEAVE AS SOON SHE CAN” because “IT WILL BE BETTER...

The current trend of combining religion, business, governments around the globe, and the radical Climate “church” should be concerning to anyone who values liberty. The dangers of Agenda 21’s push for worldwide Sustainable Development is well documented. Though the dangers of the radical green agenda have been trumpeted by many, including Glenn Beck, their warnings seem to have fallen on deaf ears even among those who surround the his holiness, the Pope. Catholic World reports that Catholic leaders recently held an international forum on economic growth and environmental sustainability in Rome. During the event Cardinal Wuerl made a disturbingly socialist...

It's Memorial Day, and the forecast is for renewed mocking and derision regarding man-made climate change from the know-nothing, science-averse wing of the Republican Party. President Barack Obama's warning—issued during his commencement address at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy graduation ceremonies Wednesday—that climate change represents a national security threat seems certain to provoke that kind of stormy reaction.[SNIP]Among the Republicans running for president, climate change denial is the current mode of thinking for most....it's hard to see anyone in the crowd calling for military preparedness. Mostly, the candidates appear interested in sidestepping the topic (albeit in a disapproving manner)..The result...

Global temperature change observed over the last hundred years or so is well within the natural variability of the last 8,000 years, according to a new paper by a former Intergovernmental Panel On Climate Change (IPCC) lead author. Dr. Philip Lloyd, a South Africa-based physicist and climate researcher, examined ice core-based temperature data going back 8,000 years to gain perspective on the magnitude of global temperature changes over the 20th Century. What Lloyd found was that the standard deviation of the temperature over the last 8,000 years was about 0.98 degrees Celsius– higher than the 0.85 degrees climate scientists say...

The world is busy trying to achieve a global warming goal that some think we’re not on course to achieve, and that some scientists worry may not be enough to prevent some troubling scenarios — like significant sea level rise. That goal is limiting warming to 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. But there’s another view, embraced by many countries (which tend not to be the big emitters), suggesting that a safer target involves limiting global warming to just 1.5 degrees C. Yet that target would be still tougher to achieve, finds a new paper in Nature Climate Change that...

Warmer ocean temperatures appear to be fueling more intense hurricanes at the expense of the overall number of storms, says a new study published today in Nature Climate Change. Over the past decade, studies have analyzed ad nauseam how warmer temperatures might be changing the annual number of hurricanes, or the maximum intensity. But in practice, the connection between hurricanes and climate change has been a hard nut to crack because of an equally simple caveat — we just don’t have enough years of good historical data to predict how hurricanes intensity or frequency might change in our warming future....

Comedian and actor Ed Helms delivered the commencement address at the University of Virginia on Friday, and took part of his speech to tear Rolling Stone a new one for their fake campus rape story, a story which they later retracted and apologized for. Now I know the UVA community has some experience with being defined by outsiders. It has been said that a rolling stone gathers no moss. I would add that sometimes a rolling stone also gathers no verifiable facts or even the tiniest morsels journalistic integrity. Rolling Stone tried ... And either way, the story has served...

CLIMATE CHANGE expert Dr Benny Peiser has claimed some surface temperature recordings used as the basis for global warming evidence are GUESSED AT – including in the Arctic and Antarctic. The Global Warming Policy Foundation (GWPF), chaired by former Conservative chancellor Nigel Lawson, has recently launched an inquiry into the reliability of global surface temperature records, with a group of international "eminent climatologists, physicists and statisticians" set to probe current data. With different sets of results appearing to conflict each other, the GWPF say they have received questions and concerns about which records are accurate and why some adjustments in...

To the casual observer, the American right can appear an undifferentiated wall of denial and obstructionism on climate change, but behind the scenes there are signs of movement. A growing number of conservative leaders and intellectuals have come to terms with climate science and begun casting about for solutions. Led mainly by libertarians and libertarian-leaning economists, they've begun to coalesce behind a carbon tax, which they consider the most market-friendly of the available alternatives. Jerry Taylor, a longtime veteran of the libertarian think tank Cato Institute who recently founded his own libertarian organization, the Niskanen Center, is a vocal proponent...

According to Vaticanist Sandro Magister, Pope Francis has decided to postpone the publication of his long-awaited encyclical on the environment. The reason, according to Magister, is that the Pope realized that the document in its current state had no chance of receiving the approval of the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith under the leadership of Cardinal Gerhard Müller. If it seems somewhat improper for a Cardinal to be telling a Pope what he can and can't write, don't fret, gentle reader: the text wasn't written by Pope Francis at all. The ghostwriter behind the heavily discussed encyclical is...
