Police said the man who killed three people on a shooting spree in downtown Fresno, Calif., on Tuesday while shouting "Allahu Akbar" wanted to kill as many white people as possible. Kori Ali Muhammad, 39, knew he was being searched for and he "decided he was going to kill more people," Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said. During his arrest, Muhammad shouted "Allahu Akbar," but Dyer said the shootings had "nothing to do with terrorism in spite of the statement he made." Israeli authorities have arrested a 19-year-old suspect in connection with dozens of hoax bomb threats to Jewish community centers in the United States and around the world. ABC News reports that the unnamed suspect is a dual U.S.-Israel citizen. Other reports indicate that the suspect is Jewish. The arrest was “part of an ongoing international investigation that has been taking place for several months with other police and security agencies in America and Europe,” Arutz Sheva reports.

In the early morning of December 30, 2016, the Chandler Police Department received a call from the residents of 4600 block of West Boston Street regarding First Degree Trespass and Aggravated Criminal Damage. The homeowner placed a Menorah in their front yard to celebrate Hanukkah. Sometime during the night the Menorah, which is approximately eight feet in height and constructed out of PVC pipe, was reconfigured into a swastika. A black waitress who received thousands of dollars in donations after she claimed she received a racist note and no tip from a patron last month fabricated the incident, the customer claims. Kelly Carter, a waitress at Anita’s New Mexico Cafe in Ashburn, Va., claimed that a white man stiffed her on his $30.52 restaurant bill and wrote “Great service, don’t tip black people” at the bottom of his receipt. But the note was forged, says Daniel Hebda, a lawyer for the customer.

PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh police are investigating the beating of a Somali immigrant who was critically injured and might have been robbed. The man, believed to be about 30, was found beaten about 5 a.m. Tuesday in the city's Beltzhoover neighborhood. A city police spokeswoman said it appears that he had also been robbed. Betty Cruz, the director of Change Agency, said the victim is a member of Pittsburgh's Somali Bantu and Muslim communities. Cruz and others are calling on police to investigate whether the beating was a hate crime. Police haven't discussed any motive beyond robbery.
