Fort Hood officials plan to demolish the medical building where an Army psychiatrist killed 13 people and wounded more than 30 others during a shooting rampage in 2009. Fort Hood spokesman Chris Haug said Wednesday that Building 42003 will be razed, while other parts of the Soldier Readiness Processing Center complex are set to be moved.

The race to be New Hampshire’s next governor remains tight. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely New Hampshire voters finds Republican Ovide Lamontagne with 48% of the vote to Democrat Maggie Hassan’s 46%. The numbers were reversed last week when Hassan held 48% of the vote to Lamontagne’s 46%, highlighting the closeness of the race. In late September, Lamontagne had a 48% to 44% advantage over Hassan.
