Fort Hood officials plan to demolish the medical building where an Army psychiatrist killed 13 people and wounded more than 30 others during a shooting rampage in 2009.
Fort Hood spokesman Chris Haug said Wednesday that Building 42003 will be razed, while other parts of the Soldier Readiness Processing Center complex are set to be moved.

There’s no reason to demolish the building unless there was indeed something to cover up.

This seems to be the way of things. Demolish it. Pretend it didn’t happen. Just another form of lying.
The nation is into lies these days but they are calling them “misunderstandings” or having “misspoken” or apologizing which just makes it all better.
Think about what demolishing Auschwitz would have done, by comparison. It’s throwing something down the “memory hole”.
3,101? Are you sure? The official count on 9/11 alone is 2,996 - I have a hard time believing that there have only been 105 killed in other Muslim terrorist attachs in the past 40 years.
Having served at Ft. Hood 3 decades ago, there were still WWII temps being used. There was no real loss in replacing them with new buildings. Depending upon the age of this building, it may be that has reached the point where it is cheaper to level it than made repairs/modernization. A good example are the 1950’s era Capehart & Wherry housing.
Does anyone out there know when the buiding was constructed?
I have no doubt that the Nazis regarded the concentration camp buildings as “temps” and would have demolished them once their “final solution” came to its end, presuming no WWII and no rescue of its victims.

This is right up there with Teddy “Swimmer” Kennedy ordering the immediate cremation of his nephew John Kennedy Jr. & the other dead in that plane crash, before autopsies could be done.
Orders from the top. Keep the massacre site from being turned into a memorial/shrine.
Btw, those numbers are attacks on US soil.
