Despite having their weapons seized and pleading guilty to charges in connection with pointing guns at Black Lives Matter rioters on their private property during the summer of 2020, Mark and Patricia McCloskey appeared defiant Saturday, posting a picture of a new AR-15 the St. Louis couple intends to buy. Twtter Link"Checking out my new AR!" Mark McCloskey tweeted along with two pictures: one with McCloskey at a gun store with the owner, and another with him and his wife, Patricia. In both, he is holding an AR-15 rifle. The picture came just two days after the McCloskeys pleaded guilty...

I am looking for advice on getting an older Marlin 336 to strike the primer hard/deep enough to fire the round. ie fix a soft primer strike. I have refinished a Marlin 336 RC, built 1964 per serial number, that I bought used at a gun show. I bought it knowing that it would not fire a round when the trigger was pulled and the firing pin would only dent (soft primer strike) the primer in the cartridge. I paid just over $100 for the firearm with the Nikon scope (worth more than $100) with the intent of refinishing the...

The rarest of the rare: Offered here is a crown jewel in American firearms collecting: 1 of only 3 S&W lever action repeating rifles known to exist. The carbine is well-documented in Edmund Lewis and Stephen Rutter's "Volcanic Firearms" on pages 38 and 39. According to the two authors, "This is one of only two privately owned Smith & Wesson rifles…More than likely, this was a factory exhibition piece, never destined for sale and never fired. It was manufactured circa 1854-1855." The long guns were developed from Horace Smith and Daniel Wesson’s lever action patent of 1854. Less than 10...

A 2005 Supreme Court ruling states that the police do not have a constitutional duty to protect citizens. A $10 million study conducted by the Obama administration concluded that firearms used for self-defense are an important crime deterrent and that restrictions on gun ownership do not reduce gun violence. The right to bear arms is based on three English Common Law rights that existed in 1607: The right of group self preservation. These English Common Law rights are the basis for the interpretation of the Constitution of the United States. The Code of of many states including the Commonwealth...

Less than a year ago, South Africa native Jonathan Oddi proudly posed behind a backdrop of an American flag, touting his new citizenship. "God bless the USA finally an American!" he wrote on Instagram. On Friday morning, he unfurled the American flag inside the South Florida hotel owned by the nation's president, then got into a firefight and chase with police while ranting about Donald Trump, Barack Obama — and bizarrely, rap mogul P. Diddy, according to law enforcement.

It's a RRA AR-10 in .308. The scope is a Vortex Viper 6-24x50 PST. I'm going out to the range this morning to bust the cherry on this one.

This is going to compliment my AR-15 (link below). I have the scope dialed in on the AR-15 so it shoots a 30 round 3/4" group at 25 yards and about 1 1/2" at 50 yards. That isn't due to the scope but rather my inability to completely hold the rifle steady but I'm getting better. That said, I want to shoot out to 200 yards and am looking for a good scope that will allow me to clearly see a 10" wide target and clearly see the bullseye. The scope on my AR15 isn't strong enough to do that....

The maker of the AK-47 semi-automatic machine gun says it is to increase staff by 30 percent because of a surge in export orders. The Kalashnikov Group put out a press release from its Moscow office Monday stating that it will create a further 1,700 jobs this year. "Following the growth of production volume, which was driven by the rise in the number of export orders, it was decided to increase the number of the Group's employees," said Alexey Krivoruchko, chief executive of the Kalashnikov Group.

Between February and March 2016, Australian and French sailors in the Arabian Sea seized small ships — or dhows — smuggling weapons, most likely to militants in Somalia and Yemen. These caches aboard the dhows included examples of one particularly rare firearm, the North Korean Type 73 machine gun. In November 2016, independent monitoring group Conflict Armament Research released a report detailing the captured weapons and their likely points of origins and destinations. According to the analysis, the shipments showed links between Iran and armed groups Tehran supports in the Gulf of Aden region.

When it comes to ARs, it all goes back to Colt. Sure, Eugene Stoner at ArmaLite developed the 7.62mm AR-10 that would evolve to become the AR-15 in 5.56mm, but it was Colt who purchased the rights to the latter design and not only captured government contracts for it as the M16 family of firearms, but also brought it to the civilian market at first as the AR-15 SP1 and then as the “Sporter” family of AR-15 rifles. Now, you should realize that while the AR is a well-accepted and extremely popular firearm today, it was extremely controversial in those...

My latest purchase. The picture isn't backwards, it's a left-handed ejection port. It's .223/5.56. It was built from the ground up by RRA. Sadly, it was lost in the great rowboat mishap of 2016.
