TAMPA - The man shot by deputies after he fired on them and held his wife at gunpoint died at St. Joseph's Hospital this morning. Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies shot Osmar Sebasco, 39, after he fired several rounds at them late Saturday night, according to the sheriff's office. He died at 10 a.m. at the hospital. Sebasco's wife, Michele, and the three deputies weren't hurt, nor was the couple's 2-year-old daughter, who was asleep in a bedroom through the incident.

DETROIT – A gunman opened fire inside a Detroit police precinct on Sunday, wounding four officers including a commander before he was shot and killed by police, authorities said. The gunman walked in through the precinct's revolving door around 4:20 p.m. with a pistol grip shotgun and opened fire, Sgt. Todd Eby, who was sitting at his desk in the precinct at the time of the shooting, told the Detroit Free Press. He said officers shot back at the gunman, killing him.

Taipei, Nov. 26 (CNA) A gunman who allegedly shot Sean Lien, the son of former Vice President Lien Chan, at an election rally in a Taipei City suburb Friday night has been arrested, Criminal Investigation Bureau Director-General Lin Teh-hua has confirmed. COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M University has issued a lockdown on its main campus, warnings students of a suspected gunman on campus. University spokesman Lane Stephenson says a campus bus driver was on his route around 4 p.m. Thursday when he reported seeing an individual carrying a weapon, possibly a rifle, near the student union. The university's Web site says there is a "Code Maroon." It says students should remain indoors while police search the buildings.
