Lockwood Library on the University at Buffalo North Campus was successfully evacuated this afternoon following a report of a gunman that remains unconfirmed, a UB official said at a news briefing.
UB police conducted a room-by-room search of the library and they believe everyone was able to make it out safely, said Joseph A. Brennan, associate vice president for university communications.
Police continue to search for the suspicious individual who triggered a campus-wide emergency alert at 4:30 this afternoon.
No weapon has been found, no injuries were reported and there were no reports of shots fired.

I wouldn’t put it past a frat or students to pull a prank like this, getting a dummy gun and standing for a few seconds in front of a remote security camera, then skedaddling.
That wouldn’t be too smart... especially, after what just happened in Huntsville.
Lock down all of North Tonawanda!
