"If you're seeing this," warns Steven Greer within the first two minutes of his sort-of-documentary, "it's because I'm either dead, or have been entrapped, or have disappeared." Or, perhaps, because I want to hook your attention. In Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind, we quickly learn that Greer is neither dead nor disappeared. But he does appear to be trapped in Batman's garage from the Dark Knight movie series. And it is from that stale bunker-like locale that he preaches to us, with interlude narrations from Jeremy Piven, for the next two hours. A medical doctor turned UFO researcher, Greer...

Australian-born academic and writer Germaine Greer has said that in her opinion, transgender women are "not women". She also claims that "a great many women" who are not transgender think transgender women - who she refers to as "male to female transgender people" - do not "look like, sound like or behave like women".

TALLAHASSEE — In a wide-ranging deposition that spanned two days in late May, former Florida Republican Party chairman Jim Greer denounced some party officials as liars and "whack-a-do, right-wing crazies'' as he described turmoil in the months before his resignation. Greer said some GOP leaders were meeting to discuss ways they could suppress black votes while others were constantly scheming against each other. He blamed criminal fraud charges filed against him in 2010 on legislative leaders and other party officials who he says orchestrated an investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the statewide grand jury to avoid...

Charlie Crist's independent U.S. Senate campaign is refunding nearly $10,000 to Jim Greer after the indicted former Republican Party chairman asked for the money to help pay for his legal defense. ``As you know circumstances have caused me to need money to defend myself and take care of my family,'' Greer wrote in an Aug. 5 letter. ``I know sending the money back is hard, but with what has happened it may be politically beneficial for you to do.'' [snip] In the one-page letter, Greer spit fire at the Republicans who ousted him, calling them ``liars, racists...

Gov. Charlie Crist personally signed off on his former Republican Party chairman's confidential fundraising role with the state party, according to Jim Greer's attorney, whose allegation contradicts the governor's statement that he "didn't know anything" about the deal now part of a criminal investigation. State investigators say Greer and the party's former executive director, Delmar W. Johnson III, secretly set up a shell company called Victory Strategies to divert party money and enrich themselves. Greer was charged Wednesday with fraud and money laundering.

Charlie Crist has tried his best to distance himself from the scandal surrounding Jim Greer, the former Chairman of the RPOF. "I didn't know anything about this Victory Strategies thing," Crist told a St. Petersburg Times reporter a day after saying "I do not feel complicit," despite his close ties to Greer. Greer’s shell company, Victory Strategies, INC., was being used to siphon money from the Party coffers. Coincidentally, Victory Strategies, LLC was incorporated in such a way as to hide from view the person or persons who are officers of the corporation. To do this, Greer used a law...

Jim Greer was arrested and charged with fraud If you think former Republican Party of Florida chairman Jim Greer is having a bad day today, just imagine how Gov. Charlie Crist and Miami- native Marco Rubio feel. Each is tied to the newly incarcerated GOP fundraiser who had a penchant for spending money that didn't quite belong to him. And on the other side of the coin is Democrat U.S. Rep Kendrick Meek, who can point the "Republicans can't be trusted finger" at his opponents for the 2010 U.S. Senate and hope the votes roll in. Crist's connection is a...

(CNN) – Jim Greer, the embattled chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, will resign Tuesday, two sources close to the party confirm to CNN. Greer will discuss his decision with members of the Republican State Executive Committee around noon, and will hold a conference call with reporters at 1 p.m. ET. The longtime ally of Gov.
