  • Why the Progressives Want a Recount They Know They Will Lose

If after all the devious machinations Trump still wins this will be used by the Sandernistas and the Clintonites to cry rigged system The recount in Wisconsin and the coming ones in Michigan and Pennsylvania will not change the outcomes in any of those states.  Even though the party of Mayor Daley, Boss Tweed, and their big city machines are famous for winning recounts by finding bags of votes in candy store basements no recount has ever changed thousands of votes let alone tens of thousands.  I do not believe changing the outcome is the purpose. It is instead changing...
  • Indiana official: Carrier deal is about possible loss of federal contracts

The deal that President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence brokered to keep Carrier jobs in Indiana likely hinges on its parent company's fear about losing business with the federal government, said an official who will play a critical role in approving the agreement. Trump and Pence will visit Indiana on Thursday to announce they’ve delivered on a campaign promise to keep about 1,000 factory jobs from moving to Monterrey, Mexico. The agreement reportedly includes $7 million in state tax breaks over ten years offered by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, a quasi-public entity that doesn't require legislative approval...
  • Georgetown prof blames mistreatment of Muslims for OSU terror attack

Brutal She calls it “cultural homelessness,” and her theory is that Muslims who come to the United States don’t feel like they’re accepted by their new country - thus prompting them to commit terror attacks like the one that occured at Ohio State University on Monday. It’s kind of a weird theory considering that she then goes on to claim American “right-wing extremists” commit more terrorist attacks than radical Islamists. Are they culturally homeless? Anyway, I suppose you have to give Georgetown Professor Engy Abdelkader credit for bringing this premise to Tucker Carlson’s show on Fox News. You go on...

Homeschooled, conservative, pro-life -- he's the Left's worst nightmare Some people run before they learn to walk. I’m referring to Sam Oosterhoff, who was sworn in yesterday as an MPP (Member of the Provincial Parliament) in Ontario, Canada. The 19-year-old is the youngest MPP in Ontario’s history after winning in a special election earlier that month. The young conservative lawmaker is already under attack by the Left in his home country.
  • Trump team considering Sen. Joe Manchin for energy secretary

President-elect Donald Trump's transition team is considering Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia for the energy secretary job, according to three sources close to the discussions. The conservative Democrat “is being considered to show the coal people how serious Trump is about coal,” one source said. Manchin told POLITICO Thursday afternoon that he and his staff haven’t been contacted by Trump’s transition team and he didn't have any trips to New York City on his calendar. But Manchin, who is up for reelection in 2018 in a state that has become increasingly more Republican over the past decade, also didn’t...
  • ‘The View’ Grills Jill Stein on Recount: ‘What Are You Trying to Prove?’

What is really behind former Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein’s recount effort? That was the question that the five hosts of The View set out to answer on Wednesday morning when they spoke to Stein via satellite from Boston. And they were not quick to give her the benefit of the doubt. “Do you think this can actually overturn the election results? Tell me yes,” a hopeful Joy Behar began....

We are being eaten alive (figuratively speaking, of course). Gun control, anyone? There has been a common misconception about the nature of the American political spectrum. In a naive man’s view, the American electorate is like a coin with its two opposing sides, the Left and the Right. At times of elections, one of the two sides of the coin ends up on the top and the respective party prevails, much like in a football game when one team wins and another loses. After the game, the teams and their fans go home and life returns to normal until the...

Thoughtcrime, mob-enforced. But maybe they've gone too far this time You’ve probably heard by now of the hit piece BuzzFeed has published about Chip and Joanna Gaines. It is, without a doubt, the most astoundinly shameless and irresponsible pieces of journalistic garbage that’s ever been published. And it’s not because a word of it is necessarily inaccurate. What’s truly so disturbing about this piece of gutter trash is that the entire piece implies there is something scandalous about the Gaines being what hundreds of millions of Americans are and have been their entire lives - Bible-believing Christians:

However stupid you feel, it's not stupid enough. You’ll remember them saying it. They said it a lot. A reluctant Trump voter would acknowledge that Trump may not be a perfect candidate or a perfect conservative, but clearly he would be a much better president than Hillary - so the best thing to do for the sake of the country would clearly be to vote for him. The #NeverTrumpers would thunder back: There is no reason to think Trump would be better than Hillary.

The Real Anti-Semitism to Fear Should we talk about the genocidal movement to eradicate the Jews or a cartoon frog? December 1, 2016 Daniel Greenfield Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is a New York writer focusing on radical Islam. After years of studiously ignoring it, dismissing it, whitewashing it, excusing it and even justifying it, progressives have rediscovered anti-Semitism. With this amazing archeological find the intrepid Indiana Jones’ of the left dug up anti-Semitism, brushed it off and put it up on the shelf right behind Islamophobia, transphobia, racism, homophobia and sexism (in that order...

First, some background. I first noticed Cenk Uygur on election night, as I enjoyed watching the "lamentations of their women" videos on YouTube when they realized Trump had won. He had an epic meltdown which I have watched about five times already: (26 minutes, and profanities, but good) The Young Turks Election Day Meltdown 2016 It's important to keep in mind that he is as progressive as they come, but he also has more of an open mind than other progressives. In fact, he came pretty close to understanding the real mood of the public. Cenk Uygur Predicted Donald Trump's...

The tech industry has banded together in an attempt to reach out to Donald Trump, the president-elect it tried to defeat. Seventeen trade groups sent a letter to Trump Tuesday, asking him to consider principles the industry says will help growth and innovation. The groups pushed for government investment in tech infrastructure, tax reform and modernizing rules and laws, plus made recommendations for agencies such as the Federal Trade Commission, Federal Communications Commission and more. They also felt the need to toot their own horn a little. “We are a powerful engine for economic growth and competitive strength, driving over...

Chelsea Manning, the former Army intelligence analyst who is serving a 35-year sentence for leaking diplomatic and military documents to WikiLeaks, has had a tough run: She’s already served more time behind bars than any other whistleblower in history; she was held in solitary confinement for 11 months before her trial, which she likened to torture; and it took Army officials nearly 18 months after she sought treatment for gender dysphoria to approve her for hormone treatments, but she is still required to conform to male military dress standards. The military’s decision in September 2016 to allow her to receive...

The policy will be viewed as punitive and cruel and noncompliance will be widespread. It is incredibly foolish and unkind. The U.S. Department of Homewrecking and Utopian Development (HUD) said it plans to forbid smoking in public housing units to protect millions of low-income tenants from the ridiculously over-hyped effects of secondhand tobacco smoke. The ban will affect more than 940,000 units of housing subsidized by federal taxpayers. “Every child deserves to grow up in a safe, healthy home free from harmful second-hand cigarette smoke,” head HUD honcho Julián Castro said in a statement.

Returning curricula development and institution to local autonomy, funding provided by the communities, not union-lobbied federal oversight, is a necessity There is a choice to be made in order to reverse the soaring amorality that has essentially crippled our young people, leaving them with only feelings by which to judge criminal and ethical behavior. By universally embracing anything and everything without critically judging it, all standards of conduct disappear and a generation degenerates. History (if ever anyone would bother to read it) demonstrates what occurs if no limits are placed on social actions and interaction, which is why it is...

But Iran, freed of sanctions, is likely to be the spoiler The United Nations Security Council unanimously adopted Resolution 2321 (2016) on November 30th. It condemns the North Korean (DPRK) regime’s continued pursuit of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles while its people continue to suffer under inhumane conditions. The resolution strengthens previous UN-imposed sanctions on the DPRK in response to its fifth nuclear test conducted on September 9, 2016. The prior resolutions have failed to slow, much less eliminate, the DPRK’s nuclear program involving the development and testing of both nuclear device and ballistic missile capabilities. As UN Secretary General...

Would Hillary have a top aide separate to help her campaign? YOU BET SHE WOULD Huma Abedin and her husband Anthony Weiner are living together (again?), the Daily Mail reports. Maybe they’ve been living together for the past few months even though the media kept telling us they separated in late August. Maybe we’ve been lied to and maybe Hillary Clinton had something to do with it. It always seemed to me during the recent presidential campaign that the reported breakup of Abedin and Weiner was all too convenient.
