I come to you with a matter of unequivocal importance, as it relates to the current health care reform bill currently under deliberation in the United States Senate. It is my understanding that you support the public option for health care reform, or as it states on your website, “Reform must result in every American having access to affordable health coverage and reasonable prescription drug costs.” As a constituent, I urge you with a sincere and fervent passion to oppose this bill. The matter at hand is of very great importance to the preservation of the precious liberties we have...

Ft Hood, TX – The Governor was welcomed to Central Texas Friday night by a crowd calling her name. "Sa-rah! Sa-rah! Sar-ah!" chanted the hundreds of troops and civilians waiting in the food court at the Clear Creek Main Exchange. Sarah Palin made a stop at Ft Hood from 6 to 9 p.m. as part of her nationwide book tour. "Going Rogue: An American Life" was released Nov. 18 and is No. 1 on the New York Times Best Seller List. Larry Sharp made the three-hour drive from Brenham and was the first person in line at 8:30 p.m. Thursday....

A friend of mine sent me this story of his time in the Marine Corps. Read through to the end, it’s a shocker. What strikes me most is what he said as to where he grew up: Indonesia. He told me he wanted to be President of the US someday. I remember lightly smiling and commenting that maybe by the time he gets to be 40 or so, America will be ready for a Black man to be President and I wished him luck. We spoke of the racial tensions I saw at home while growing up and I asked...

Yesterday, I listened to President Obama say these words. Despite the progress we’ve made, many businesses are still skittish about hiring. Some are still digging themselves out of the losses they incurred over the past year. Many have figured out how to squeeze more productivity out of fewer workers. And that cost-cutting has become embedded in their operations and in their culture. That may result in good profits, but it’s not translating into hiring and so that’s the question that we have to ask ourselves today: How do we get businesses to start hiring again? From the perspective of an...

Please right-click and save this graph. When you get a chance, print it out. The next time a leftist warmer rants on about AGW, show them this and ask them to explain the LONG TERM COOLING TREND that began 3900 YEARS AGO. . . . PLEASE NOTE: The red and blue trend lines at the top and bottom were added for emphasis, and do not appear in the original table. They are not interested in or want genuine peace with Israel. contrary to how the MSM and politicians spin it, they are not "moderates". The only difference between Fatah and Hamas is that Hamas is more honest and open regarding their true intentions. Mahmoud Abbas and Fatah by contrast, prefer it's Phased Plan: Rafiq Natshe [member of Fatah] : " [Hamas says] all of Palestine is ours, and we want to liberate it from the river to the sea in one blow. But Fatah, which leads the PLO, feels that a Phased Plan must be pursued. Both sides agree on...

What would you have done if you were around in the 1970s and you knew everything Deep Throat was telling Woodward & Bernstein, but their newspaper refused to cover the story, and Watergate was not getting out to the masses? What if you knew about a scheme to commit massive, economies-destroying fraud, and you saw the American MSM actively working to cover it up instead of expose it, as journalists should? What if you saw Senators like Barbara Boxer coming out to attack whistle-blowers and refuse to investigate what could be the most devastating scandal to rock the scientific community...

Ignoring The ProblemThe Cost of Paying the Debt NowBy starting today, the Federal Government can pay off the National Debt in 30 years by making interest and principal payments of $699,013,323,930.52 per year (see the chart below). In Fiscal Year 2009 the government made interest payments of $383,656,592,545.78. So it would take an additional $315,356,731,384.74 in annual payments to completely extinguish the debt in 30 years. By starting now, the total cost of interest will be $8,883,038,042,900.88, at 4%, over 30 years.Opportunity Cost: Waiting until 2019If the Federal Government chooses to wait until 2019 before addressing the debt, the cost...

GDP vs National Debt - The Raw TruthI am still mulling over the Bureau of Economic Analysis’ recent, erroneous, GDP projection after my last post Gross Domestic Product (GDP) Mumbo Jumbo. One aspect that was not addressed previously was the pace at which our National Debt is catching up to annual GDP.The question for today is what will Gross Domestic Product need to be in 2019 in order to keep pace with the Federal Government’s ruinous spending? And based on the answer to that, at what pace must the economy grow annually? If we add the CBO’s 2010 to 2019...

This is about as pathetic as it gets. On his recent trip to the far east, where he would not only grovel to the Chinese, but take time to be the only head of state to bow to the Japanese Emperor, Obama stopped off at Elmendorf AFB in Alaska so Air Force One could be refueled, and he could use those brave men and women as a photo op while he held what amounted to a campaign rally.

I have never understood the Sarah Palin attraction. Sorry. I just don’t I am a die-hard conservative, but Sarah Palin does not do it for me. Never did. When she was first announced as John McCain’s running mate, I cringed, but then reluctantly understood. This was a political “Hail Mary” pass for the McCain campaign. Honestly, what could the poor man do from where he stood in the polls and in the modern American environment in which he was nominated? Answer: apparently little, aside from dumbing himself down to the political environment of the times—i.e., try to match the idiocy...

The likelihood of a large market crash is 80%, said investor John Hussman, Bloomberg reported. Additional amounts of debt not being repaid will cause the stock market to reverse itself, said fund manager Hussman. Although the S&P 500 Index catapulted by 64 percent from March, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. reported 4.94 percent of loans and leases being overdue by the end of the third quarter, reaching an all-time high. “There is still close to an 80 percent probability that a second market plunge and economic downturn will unfold during the coming year,” Hussman wrote on his Web site.

With polls showing little support for his proposed overhaul of the nation’s health care delivery system, President Barack Obama is now trying to pitch it as a remedy for high unemployment—the number one concern of most voters, according to most surveys. “Those who’ve been accusing me of ignoring the unemployment problem haven’t been paying attention,” Obama contended. “Health care reform will create thousands of jobs.” “First, we will be hiring people to scrutinize proposed treatments to determine whether the prospective patients really need it and whether society can justify the investment of scarce resources on the health of the applicants,”...

These are the times that make men vomit. Have you seen the latest Gunowners Of America Alert? Mr. Milquetoast himself, Harry Reid, may pass some version of ObamaNationCare because NOT ONE Senate Republican has the brass to stand up and just say NO.....not one more lie....not one more penny... not one more day.... not one more usurpation. What possible power does this pantywaist Reid have over Senators like North Carolina's Richard Burr to silence him into submission? The State that gave the nation Jesse Helms (Senator NO), now has Richard Burr (Senator Go-Along-To-Get-Along).

The health care bill, aka Socialized Medicine, is going to pass in one form or another unless We the People do something about it. Since they ignored the Tea Parties and the DC 9/12 rally, short of armed resistance, the only thing that will make a dent in their thick skulls is the loss of their political careers in Washington as of the next election. If they vote for the health care bill, they will be on the “They voted for it” political Hit List. Thereafter, We the People, will do all in our power to wholeheartedly support whomever runs...

In October 2005 President George W. Bush used the term “Islamic fascist” for the first time to describe the Muslim barbarians at war with the West. He denounced them as movements that have a “violent and political vision”, and call for “the establishment... of a totalitarian empire that denies all political and religious freedom.” The Muslim groups which today seek to bring about a global totalitarian empire are not only fascists, but can trace their origins to Nazism and its genocidal ambitions.

"With Republicans seeking a big Senate seat win in Arkansas, one man - a former Green Beret who served in Afghanistan - has put his hat in the ring as an Independent candidate for senator, demonstrating why democracy still matters. Arkansas offers an interesting litmus test in modern American democracy. The battle for one Senate seat has implications for long-term American domestic and foreign policy, and for these reasons Republicans are eager to win in Arkansas. Trevor Drown, a former Green Beret who served in Afghanistan, has his own perspectives on the Arkansas contest. Mr. Drown put together an...

In 1960, I became a professor at Durham University in England. I taught botany to undergraduates and led research teams at Masters, Ph.D., and postdoctoral levels. Between 1969 and 1996, I was a TV personality. The BBC, rapidly followed by ITV, gave me free rein to inform the world about botany, natural history, and the environment. My media popularity brought me many accolades: I was only the second person to have his photo on the cover of Nature. (Beaten to this position by Charles Darwin, no less!) The caption? “Science is Fun.” Back in those days, it was. I regularly...

“U.S. elected officials accused China on Tuesday of stealing American jobs.” I was trying to visualize how the Chinese snuck over and stole these jobs. They would certainly have used the largely unprotected southern border with Mexico to take the jobs, but how did they transport the jobs? The “U.S official” turns out to be Pennsylvania’s Gov. Ed Rendell who is an expert in jobs losses as he has lead Pennsylania from 5.5% unemployment when he was first elected in 2002 to a whopping 9.5% today (data available through September 2009). Playing on our fears about job losses and a...

I did not think he would lose me so soon — sooner than Bill Clinton did. Like many people, I was deeply invested in the success of our first African-American president. I had written op-ed pieces and articles to support him in The New York Times and The New York Review of Books. My wife and I had maxed out in donations for him. Our children had been ardent for his cause. Others I respect have given up on him before now. I can see why. His backtracking on the treatment of torture (and photographs of torture), his hesitations to...

Scott Baker from Breitbart-TV.com and Co-Host of ‘The B-Cast‘ submitted this shocking report today on Obama’s deviant Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings. —-Warning on Content—– I was recently approached by a team of independent researchers that I have known for some time and have come to trust. They prepared this report involving ‘Safe Schools Czar’ Kevin Jennings and the organization he founded, GLSEN, and asked that I find a way to help draw attention to what they uncovered. Knowing that Gateway Pundit has followed Kevin Jennings since his appointment, as we have on The B-Cast (here, here, and here), and...

Good News From the NRA Like all UN efforts, the gun grabber initiative is sputtering, but we must stay vigilant. Here's an excerpt from the NRA web site: The UN and International Treaties: Over the last few weeks, we have received many inquiries regarding the UN and the impact of international treaties on our Second Amendment freedom. The current issue under discussion, the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT), is in the early stages of the negotiation process. There is no actual draft text at this time. Work on the ATT is scheduled to continue by a consensus process between now...

Slandering the President John F. Kavanaugh S.J. | NOVEMBER 23, 2009 America Magazine On Oct. 29 Glenn Beck ended his program on Fox TV with the words of Thomas Jefferson: “All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.” Beck himself certainly has not been silent. In lectures, best-selling books, a radio program and his television show, he has warned America of the coming tyranny under a conspiratorial president. Armed with videos and quotations ranging from the mindless and amoral behavior of some members of Acorn to reckless statements made by associates and...

As editor of The Post & Email I can now publicly confirm that our website was hacked 3 times yesterday by an Obama supporter, in conjunction with a simultaneous political attack on the Washington Times Newspaper, in Washington, D.C.. The motive for the attack was identical: The advertorial placed by Commander Charles F. Kerchner, Jr., U.S. Navy, Retired in the Washington Times, entitled ” Obama’s Lack of Eligibility.” The advertorial contained a brief explanation why Barack Hussein Obama was still a British citizen, and why that makes him ineligible for the U.S. Presidency. It featured the classic Asian metaphor of...

Today in America we have two different classes of poor: 1) the American Indigent Poor; and 2) the Capable Poor or the “New American Poor” (i.e., “The Subjective Socially Dependent”). The American Indigent Poor are those individuals who are truly helpless and indigent. These were born with physical infirmities and birth defects who suffer physical traumas or mental issues and are unable to survive through this life without help from society. Some are our valiant veterans of foreign wars and others are rejected outcasts of society. These individuals need and deserve our charity and help, and most of all we...

Prompting concerns that the MSNBC character has fallen off the wagon, Chris Matthews is now screeching that Sarah Palin thinks Barack Obama is an illegal alien. Matthews’ recent foray into utter madness was triggered by an interview Palin did with talk show host Rusty Humphries. When asked whether Obama’s birth certificate is “‘fair game”, Palin gave an entirely coherent response: “‘I think it’s a fair question, just like I think past association and past voting records – all of that is fair game,’ Palin responded.” From this, Matthews extrapolates that Palin believes Obama to be an illegal alien worthy of...

Arguing with Idiots… Part Deaux (A full-frontal assault on the Temple of Darwin) (Link to PDF). (I know I’ve done rants like this before, but you guys are worth it!) Dear worshippers of Darwin and lovers of self, My personal (condensed) declaration of faith: I believe in the God of the Bible. I believe in the Bible. I believe what it says. I believe, unashamedly that God is the Creator of the Universe and that He created it just as described in the Genesis account. I believe the only way to receive salvation is to believe and receive Jesus Christ...

I may catch some flak for this, but I’m prepared. While I very much like Sarah Palin and what she represents, I do believe she made a serious error when answering a question concerning the issue of Barack Obama’s birth certificate.

My apologies if you've heard this before, but it bears repeating. It's one of those things in our present society that would be funny if it weren't realistic. There are certain segments of the population, on both extremes of the financial spectrum, both educated and uneducated (maybe even more prevalent with "elite, East Coast, intellectual" politicians and economists) that ignore the old saying, "money doesn't grow on trees". They actually believe it does. No, really, I'm not even kidding! The below sound clip took place in the liberal wonderland of Detroit, MI (WJR radio.
