Did you know when you search the internet, you're not actually searching the whole internet? Google is the largest search service in the world. But even with trillions of websites indexed, Google’s search only covers about four percent of the net. So what exactly is the 96 percent of the internet that’s ungoogleable? The "mysterious" Deep Web, as tech expert Shelly Palmer facetiously called it in an interview with Circa, is the internet that isn’t indexable by search engines. "It's mostly private information that actually should be private and is set up to be that way," Palmer said. This is...

Right-wing street artist Sabo has posted anti-Google advertisements outside the company’s offices in Los Angeles following the firing of former employee James Damore. One advert, plastered on a bench, featured a modified Google logo that read “Goolag,” and had a fake search bar below that said, “Search for diversity of thought somewhere else.” Someone is in Venice is not happy about Google's firing of that memo guy. These are all over Santa Monica and Venice. pic.twitter.com/gHU6ihfMWl — Alex Rubalcava (@AlexRubalcava) August 11, 2017 Other posters featured the iconic “think different” image of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs juxtaposed against an image...

A columnist for The New York Times has called upon Google CEO Sundar Pichai to resign following the controversial dismissal of former employee James Damore. Damore was fired from his position at Google this week after publishing a viewpoint diversity manifesto, which examined reasons why there are fewer women in tech jobs and called for more ideological diversity in Google’s workplace. In a memo, Google CEO Sundar Pichai claimed Damore had advanced “harmful gender stereotypes in our workplace,” despite the fact that numerous psychologists, male and female, deemed the manifesto to be scientifically accurate. “There are many actors in the...

“In my document, I committed heresy against the Google creed by stating that not all disparities between men and women that we see in the world are the result of discriminatory treatment.” – James DamoreFor black liberals, it’s always that ugly period between slavery and the Civil Rights era when they’re horribly oppressed while to feminists, we’re always stuck in the bad old days when women couldn’t vote, were encouraged not to go to college, and were generally thought to belong in the kitchen when they weren’t making babies. In fact, a feminist who sees the world as it really...

To: All Google Employees From: Unoi’m Carasee, Vice President of Mutually Exclusive Propositions Subject: The Recent Outrage Dear Google Employees: In light of the horrific assault on Google values recently made by a former employee, we feel it is necessary to add a few further propositions to the official Google List of Mandatory Beliefs. In order to retain their positions, all Google employees must assent to the following two Statements of Fact: 1) For the purposes of employee non-discrimination policy, there is no such thing as a male brain or a female brain. Any suggestion to the contrary is rank...

An expert in California labor law tells Business Insider that Damore has a better chance of winning his case than people may think. That's because Damore's case is NOT about free speech, discrimination, or his rights as an "at-will" worker. Damore filed under a section of the law that deals with protecting statements made by workers' rights activists who have questions about wages and conditions.

Last week, Google erroneously fired senior software developer James Damore after a memo he published on gender and diversity in the workplace went viral. Anti-Google street art by SABO has since appeared in Los Angeles, showing the late Apple founder and CEO Steve Jobs’ face above its “think different” slogan against Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai picture that reads “Not So Much.” Another street art piece shows the Apple logo with the phrase “get hired” and a Google logo with “get fired” next to it. SABO provided high-resolution photos of the anti-Google street art to The Gateway Pundit.

Google's firing of software engineer James Damore for daring to express politically incorrect ideas in an internal memo is the latest example of the political left's tyrannical propensity to suppress speech, thought and dissent. Almost as troubling as the left's policing is its apparent obliviousness toward its own hypocrisy and the danger it poses to the liberal exchange of ideas. While constitutional issues may not be involved in the Google case because no state action is involved, moral shaming has become a chilling cudgel in the hands of leftist-dominated institutions. In his memo, Damore notes that Google's political bias silences...

In 2005, the Los Angeles Times hired me as a columnist. That was great news (for me). But the best part was when Barbra Streisand canceled her subscription in protest. Her real complaint wasn't so much that the Times had hired me, but that it had dropped Robert Scheer, an old-style, left-wing writer, in the same editorial shakeup. "The greater Southern California community is one that not only proudly embraces its diversity, but demands it," Streisand wrote in an "open letter" to the newspaper. "Your decision to fire Robert Scheer is a great disservice to the spirit of our community."...

By now, most of us have heard about Google’s so-called “anti-diversity” manifesto and how James Damore, the engineer who wrote it, has been fired from his job. Titled Google’s Ideological Echo Chamber, Mr. Damore called out the current PC culture, saying the gender gap in Google’s diversity was not due to discrimination, but inherent differences in what men and women find interesting. Danielle Brown, Google’s newly appointed vice-president for diversity, integrity and governance, accused the memo of advancing “incorrect assumptions about gender,” and Mr. Damore confirmed last night he was fired for “perpetuating gender stereotypes.” Despite how it’s been portrayed,...

Just a quick thought. What if everyone clicked on Google ads just to run up the bill for Google advertisers? In the short term Google would make some money, but their advertisers would have to pay it for no benefit. I wonder if enough angry people protest clicked their ads would advertisers leave or lower their ad bids? If someone clicked through they could tell the advertisers that it was protest click.

James Damore, the Google engineer that was fired for writing a memo criticizing the company’s diversity policies, said in a Thursday interview that Google employees publicly criticize people based on race and gender in meetings. “You can openly shame white people or all men [at Google], and we do this in our company-wide meetings,” Damore said. “There’s definitely a bias toward certain movements.” During the interview with the Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro, Damore claimed that Google firing him for pushing “harmful gender stereotypes” only revealed the company’s overblown emphasis on diversity, denying allegations that his memo had pushed “harmful gender stereotypes.” “They’re putting...

On CNBC, an entrepreneur named Marcus Lemonis was asked what kind of people he prefers to hire for his businesses. Here's what he said: "We look for more females than males, by design. I happen to believe that females, particularly in the sales oriented positions, are better. They're more empathetic. They're better listeners." Ho hum. But if he had said, "We look for more males than females by design because men are better," there'd be demands from the intolerant left that CNBC never allow such a monster on TV ever again. Exaggeration? Well, you tell me. At Google, an engineer...

Two of President Trump’s most ardent supporters, the YouTube stars known as Diamond and Silk, say a financial stranglehold has been placed on their videos. Lynnette Hardway and Rochelle Richardson of North Carolina, whose support of Mr. Trump and no-nonsense delivery during the 2016 U.S. presidential season turned them into online sensations, said Thursday their YouTube videos have become casualties of the company’s attempt to silence “extremism.”“@YouTube @TeamYouTube stopped over 95% percent of our videos from being monetized, stating: ‘It’s Not Suitable For All Advertisers,’” the two said in a series of tweets. “Wonder if @YouTube @TeamYouTube stopped the monetization...

For any readers who don’t know about this case already, “it” refers to Google’s decision to fire an engineer because he posted a ten-page internal memo that took issue with some of the firm’s policies, especially its “diversity” stance. (The text of the memo, written by James Damore, is available here, but note the misleading characterization of his writing as a “screed” – much of the leftist media treated Damore’s work as if it were something scarcely this side of Mein Kampf.) In a nutshell, Damore, who says here that he wrote the memo after taking part in a Google...

Over 60 women are reportedly considering a sexism and “pay gap” lawsuit against Google, according to the Guardian. “James Finberg, the civil rights attorney working on the possible legal action on behalf of the female employees, told the Guardian they contend they have earned less than men at Google despite equal qualifications and comparable positions,” the news outlet reported on Wednesday. “Others, he said, have struggled in other ways to advance their careers at Google due to a ‘culture that is hostile to women.'” In his interview with The Guardian, Finberg claimed the employees “are concerned that women are channeled...
