The latest polling data from Morning Consult show former vice president Joe Biden climbing back into a stable lead in the Democratic presidential primary, after several weeks of running alongside Massachusetts senator Elizabeth Warren. Among Democratic-primary voters surveyed over the past week, 33 percent say they support Biden compared to just 21 percent who support Warren. Still in third place, Vermont senator Bernie Sanders comes in close behind Warren with 19 percent support. When asked who their second choice in the field would be, respondents who selected Sanders as their first choice preferred Biden to Warren as their next best...

All is not well at my alma mater, the University of Notre Dame. A couple of weeks ago, anonymous students put up unauthorized posters on campus that read “There’s queer blood on homophobic hands,” suggesting that Notre Dame students, faculty, and alumni were responsible for violence. Here’s more on the signs from Notre Dame’s independent student newspaper the Irish Rover (for which I was once executive editor): The sign contained many articles from the Irish Rover and the Observer which reflect Catholic doctrine regarding human sexuality, implying that the authors of these were responsible for the deaths of “queer” people...

Krakow archbishop rouses Poles to consider debt owed to national heroes, saintsKRAKOW, Poland (ChurchMilitant.com) - Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski of Kraków issued a pastoral letter on Sept. 28 warning of major threats to Polish — and international — freedom emanating from the totalitarianism of the twentieth century. The archbishop addressed his "Beloved Archdiocesans" in the letter entitled Totus Tuus ("Totally yours"), urging them to resist "the radical rejection of God" and LGBT propaganda. He explained the "integrated approach" of totalitarianism; that when it rejects God, it makes a new vision of man, one that presents man as a caricature of himself...

At age 17, Charlie Evans lived as a boy, binding her chest and shaving her head. A decade later, in 2018, she publicly stopped being transgender. In the year since then, she’s been contacted by “hundreds†of transgender people looking to do the same, she recently told the United Kingdom’s Sky News. The people contacting her “tend to be around their mid-20s, they’re mostly female and mostly same-sex attracted, and often autistic as well,†Evans said.In the past decade, the United Kingdom has seen a 4,500 percent increase (not a typo) in girls identifying as transgender. Brown University last year...

Frustrated liberals have been asking for the last four years what it’s going to take for President Trump’s supporters to abandon him. Because, like, don’t they know he’s about to be impeached!? New York Times columnist David Brooks attempted to answer the question last week by imagining a conversation with someone he simply referred to as “Flyover Man,” because apparently he didn’t know a single real Trump supporter. It never seems to occur to liberals that perhaps the real problem isn’t that a lot of people continue supporting the president even though he can be strange, vulgar, and sometimes even...

The impeachment effort against President Donald Trump may be popular among Democrats but it has also energized his supporters, including thousands of women who plan to show up at the nation’s capital on October 17 for the March for Trump. “We are coming to Washington to support our president — to stand with him through this impeachment charade,” Amy Kremer, Tea Party activist and founder of Women for America First, the organization behind the march, said on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Saturday with host Matt Boyle. “[Democrats are] trying to subvert the will of the people and overturn the vote and...

A survey produced by the Harris Poll in partnership with Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) finds young Americans’ comfort with LGBTQ individuals has plunged from 63 percent in 2016 to 45 percent in 2018. According to the Accelerating Acceptance report, Americans aged 18-34 who say they are comfortable interacting with LGBTQ people dropped from 63 percent in 2016 to 53 percent in 2017, and then to 45 percent in 2018. The survey results are published as lesbian, gay, and transgender activists celebrate Pride month. “At the same time, the Trump administration continues to attack the LGBTQ community through...

In a press conference held before the celebratory ticker-tape parade for the U.S. women's national team kicked off in lower Manhattan, New York governor Andrew Cuomo took a stand for equal pay, signing the new "Equal Pay for Equal Work" legislation into law on the streets of New York City. “There is no rationale that the women should not get paid what the men get paid,” Cuomo said, per assembled media. “...We say to the U.S. Soccer league and we say to FIFA, if you don’t pay women what you pay men, then you have no business in the state...

Hobby Lobby, the arts-and-crafts giant whose evangelical Christian owners won a landmark religious-freedom ruling in U.S. Supreme Court several years back, is now under fire for selling signs that a customer alleges “glorify and encourage gun violence,” with some calling for a boycott of the chain. Shopper Leslie Ruffing, 39, was at her local Hobby Lobby in Aurora, Ill. when she came across two gun-themed wall decorations. One of the metal signs read “We don’t call 911,” framed by two opposing pistols with their barrels crossed, and with bullets embedded in the number “1.” The other yellow metal placard says...

This cohort leans Republican now more than ever; a Gallup poll this year shows they favor the GOP by a whopping 25 percentage points. It was as if the Democratic Party didn’t understand how much they needed labor. Oddly, it appears they still don’t. “The working-class voters in my county tend to wonder if the party still wants them,” says Mark Hackel, the Democratic chief executive of Macomb County, Mich., where voters favored Trump over Clinton by 11 percentage points. “They’re not really sure where they fit in.” Mike Mikus, a Democratic strategist who helped guide Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf’s...

Trump’s 'lack of decorum, dignity, and statesmanship' By Evan Sayet in his article "He Fights" My Leftist friends (as well as many ardent #NeverTrumpers) constantly ask me if I’m not bothered by Donald Trump’s lack of decorum. They ask if I don’t think his tweets are “beneath the dignity of the office.” Here’s my answer: We Right-thinking people have tried dignity. There could not have been a man of more quiet dignity than George W. Bush as he suffered the outrageous lies and politically motivated hatreds that undermined his presidency. We tried statesmanship. Could there be another human being on...

A federal judge has torpedoed the city of Tampa’s attempt to block licensed counselors from helping patients overcome unwanted same-sex attractions. Similar laws have been defeated in other jurisdictions. In Tampa, U.S. District Judge William Jung granted summary judgment to Liberty Counsel in its lawsuit against Tampa’s ordinance prohibiting “licensed counselors from providing voluntary talk therapy to minors seeking help to reduce or eliminate their unwanted same-sex attractions, behaviors, or identity.” The ruling, which permanently strikes the ordinance, was based on the fact that cities don’t have the authority to regulate health care.

Rahm Emanuel raised taxes to get city worker pension funds on a ‘path to solvency.’ The shortfall still ballooned by $7 billion. ... A record-high property tax increase. A new tax on water and sewer service. A higher 911 emergency fee on telephone lines... Emanuel’s series of tax hikes was painful, but he promised the extra money was part of a plan to get the woefully underfunded city worker pension funds on a “path to solvency.”.. in the four years since .. The pension funds are actually worse off. When Emanuel pushed through the tax hikes, the city worker retirement...

Joe Biden called Trump voters the “dregs of society” during an impassioned speech at an LGBTQ+P for Pedophile charity event. Donald Trump Jr. has hit back at the former vice president saying his statement went “too far”. Democrats want you to know two things right off the bat. First thing is pretty obvious, Donald Trump lives in their heads and they hate him for it. Second, the Democrats hate you if you voted for Donald Trump in 2016. Hillary Clinton referred to you all as “deplorables” and now Creepy Joe Biden wants you to know he thinks that you are...

The city of Portland apparently has a gender problem with bathrooms. According to KGW-TV, the city decided when they remodeled the Portland Building that urinals would be banned. Last February Chief Administrative Officer Tom Rinehart emailed employees: We will continue to have gender-specific (male and female) multi-stall restrooms that are readily available to any employee that prefers to use one. But, there will be no urinals in any restroom in the building. This will give us the flexibility we need for any future changes in signage … I am convinced that this is the right way to ensure success as...
