I really just felt the need to vent right now. The other day on twitter I noticed an ad for a drama documentary about the same sex marriage in my country Ireland showed up in my twitter feed. I looked at the description; "A drama documentary for Stage based on the true stories & struggles leading up to the Marriage Equality Referendum" which set me off so I posted this reply: '“Struggles” “equality” Yeah traditional marriage was such a plight on this country.' And so I left it at that. Then earlier on this day I received this reply from...

A judge ruled that a bar was well within its right to kick out Trump supporters. And this is great news. Not because I have any particular animosity towards Trump supporters (any more than other enablers of government oppression). I’m not saying Trump supporters should be kicked out of bars. If I owned a bar I certainly wouldn’t kick out Trump supporters. After all, it’s not like the Bernie supporters have enough money to keep a business afloat. But this is a win for freedom of association. All interactions should be consensual. Obviously, we understand this concept when it comes...

Joy Reid’s old blog, The Reid Report (2000-2014), is littered with even more anti-gay posts than were originally discovered, reports the far-left blog Mediate. The MSNBC host is claiming these latest discoveries were not written by her, but by hackers as a means “to taint my character.” Earlier this year, Reid admitted to authoring a number of posts on her old site that mercilessly ridiculed then-Republican Florida Governor Charlie Crist as a homosexual (even after he married a woman). Reid was clearly using homosexuality as a pejorative, as a weapon of ridicule, so the left-wing MSNBC anchor’s homophobia has already...

Investigators said they have not yet recovered a murder weapon. Corina said investigators are working to determined a motive in the fatal stabbing. Friends and investigators at the scene said the suspect was Sanchez's boyfriend, and that the victim was ending their relationship. Officials do not believe anyone else was involved. Students and staff at South El Monte High School were just learning about his death Thursday. Grief counselors will be made available to students wishing to talk. “Jeremy was a well-known student here. … I believe he played baseball, football, wrestling … a year-round athlete,” El Monte Union High...

A hairdresser has been jailed for life after deliberately infecting at least five men with HIV. In the first conviction of its kind in the UK, sadistic Daryll Rowe, 27, was found guilty of unleashing the “cynical campaign” to infect as many men as possible – targeting them through dating apps including Grindr. The sick plot was in “revenge” after he was diagnosed with the potentially killer disease, with the man today jailed for a minimum of 10 years and 253 days. Police had alleged that Rowe, who consistently denied having HIV, had refused treatment. A court previously heard during...

Columbus, Indiana hosted its first LGBT pride festival April 14, and by all accounts, it was a success. The event was planned and spearheaded by a high school student named Erin Bailey who began planning the event as a school project. More than 1,000 people reportedly attended, and the town’s population of 47,000 welcomed them generously with rainbow banners in the streets. The Human Rights Campaign, an LGBT rights organization, supported, promoted and attended the event as well. When the event was first announced in late March of this year, it received recognition from dozens of international media outlets that...

“Queer rights activist” and “biblical scholar” Matthew Vines “reinterpreted” Scripture verses that typically condemn homosexuality in an LGBT-“affirming” reading of the Bible at Harvard University, the Crimson reported. Who is Vines?Vines is a prominent speaker on pro-gay topics in the context of Christianity and authored “God and the Gay Christian: The Biblical Case in Support of Same-Sex Relationships.” The book’s controversial content resulted in WaterBrook Multnomah — which shared staff with the book’s publisher Convergent — resigning its membership with the National Religious Broadcasters in 2014. What did he say at his Harvard talk?During his talk Saturday, Vines “discussed six...

Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) grilled Secretary of State nominee Mike Pompeo during his Senate confirmation hearing Thursday about Pompeo's stated opposition to gay marriage. Booker was referring to a speech Pompeo made in 2015 while he was a Kansas congressman, which cited a prayer delivered by the Rev. Joe Wright. "America had worshiped other Gods and called it multiculturalism. We’d endorsed perversion and called it an alternative lifestyle,” Pompeo said. "Those are your words," Booker said to Pompeo. "Is being gay a perversion?" Pompeo replied by stating he had a "clear view" on whether gay marriage was "appropriate" while he...

In a brazen assault on our most fundamental freedoms, California legislators are considering a bill that would make it illegal for anyone to receive professional help to resolve unwanted same-sex attractions or gender confusion. This would apply to people of all ages. People of all religious and moral convictions. It is an absolute outrage, and it must be opposed vigorously. For the last few years, a growing number of states and cities have embraced legislation making it illegal for minors struggling with unwanted same-sex attractions or gender confusion to receive professional help, even with the full support of their parents....

Two Democratic gubernatorial candidates are clashing over the implications of the verb "to prance." State Sen. Richard S. Madaleno Jr. has accused tech entrepreneur Alec Ross of engaging in dog-whistle politics by implying a state senator "prances around Annapolis talking" instead of getting things done. Madaleno is the only gay gubernatorial candidate. He told The Washington Post that he thought the word choice was "interesting," and his campaign put out a statement calling it "poor and insensitive."

Metro police have arrested a pastor accused of molesting several children across two decades while he was leader of a South Nashville congregation. Matthew Dennis Patterson, known as Denny, served as pastor of Nolensville Road Baptist Church for more than 20 years. He resigned on Sept. 24. Days later, members of the congregation came to the police precinct on Harding Place with complaints about his requests to "engage in strange activities" with children, authorities said. Children at the church told adult members that Patterson had asked them to sit on his face and stomach, sometimes in their underwear, according to...

A tweet posted by Argentina's government office for human rights has been mocked online. The tweet reads: "Whatever your orientation, we're all part of the sexual diversity.#MakingVisible." It is followed by a picture with the motto: "Heterosexuality is part of sexual diversity." Many readers reacted with incredulity and asked if the official government account had been hacked. Others posted memes of people rolling their eyes. https://twitter.com/SDHArgentina/status/978255505209643008/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bbc.com%2Fnews%2Fworld-latin-america-43557526 Most pointed out that a campaign to make people more visible is usually aimed at minorities and not those who are in the majority. Karl Schmid, an on-camera reporter for ABC’s Los Angeles affiliate, came out as HIV positive on Friday night in a powerful Facebook post about stigma and acceptance. The 37-year-old Australian import covers human interest stories and Hollywood on ABC7, reporting from events like the Academy Awards and the annual Vanity Fair Oscar party. After a decade living with HIV, Schmid said he came forward despite numerous industry peers urging him to stay quiet. “For 10 years I’ve struggled with ‘do I or don’t I?’ For ten years the stigma and industry professionals have said, ‘don’t! It’ll ruin you,”’ wrote Schmid....

John Oliver took a week off from breaking down President Donald Trump's latest outrages by focusing his fire on Vice President Mike Pence and his ultra-conservative views. The Last Week Tonight host began by describing Pence as an "ashen weasel," which he called the "opposite of whatever a silver fox is,” and then ran through his public statements on issues such as abortion rights, homosexuality, same-sex marriage, gays in the military and even women in the military — all of which fell towards the more extreme, conservative end of the spectrum. Oliver reminded the audience that Pence is the only...

Adam Rippon is back in the news, this time from rumors that he is producing a reality show with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. The news is likely to ruffle some feathers, as Rippon has become a polarizing figure — perhaps unfairly. Rippon, 28, is a 2018 Winter Olympics athlete and medalist. He received significant attention for being one of the first openly gay athletes to represent Team USA at a Winter Olympics and the first openly gay male athlete to win a medal in a Winter Olympics. But throughout the Olympics, it seemed as though Rippon made headlines just...

TAOISEACH Leo Varadkar has said he is concerned Irish whiskey could be targeted as part of the escalating trade war between the US and the EU. Speaking on the first day of his week-long visit to the US, Mr Varadkar said when he hears the EU threaten to put import tariffs on US bourbon, it concerns him that Irish whiskey could also be hit with tariffs. “When I hear bourbon whiskey I think the next response could be tariffs against Irish whiskey,” he said. Speaking at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, Mr Varadkar warned that a cross-Atlantic...

Then Graham added a “word of warning” for the leader of the nuclear-armed hermit kingdom. “The worst possible thing you can do is meet with President Trump in person and try to play him,” the senator said. “If you do that, it will be the end of you — and your regime.”

It has been four years since Disney’s Frozen took over the universe, and yet to this day, many fans are still pleading for Disney to add some much-needed LGBTQ representation to their films with Frozen 2. Speculation has been swirling around the Internet since the film’s initial release that Elsa, the film’s protagonist, is a queer character. This theory left many fans calling for Disney to give Elsa a female love interest in the film’s sequel, which is expected to hit theaters in November 2019. Idina Menzel previously said that she was “excited” by the online discussion, but offered no...

OMG! Do a search on the San Bernardino shooting, and what the witnesses saw matches up totally to this shooting. Here is an exact quote from a story right after the shooting. "At least 12 people are confirmed dead and Los Angeles’ FOX 11 reports cops are currently searching for “3 white males dressed in military gear.” Witnesses say the men had masks on and may have been wearing body armor, ABC reports. They were armed with rifles and “came into the office and started shooting,” sometime around 2 p.m. Eastern Time." Once again we are being asked to believe...
