Just, no
Elton John performed at Rush Limbaugh’s wedding. If he’s good for Rush, he’s good for me.
I saw him the Greek Theater early in his career

Richard Simmons meets Shields & Yarnell and The Village People.
Think of all the ‘grunt work’ that went into this video.
I suspect the video was produced in Australia.
Heavy choreographing done for duration of the song.
No dancing for Elton, just frequent costume changes.
A lot of dancers employed for that one song.
A lot of costume changes, make up and body paint artists.
A lot of rehersals.
Multi locations to rent out and shoot.
Almost all have to be done with the sun high in the sky.
May have taken a few days to film for editing.
A friend of mine does a spot on Elton John Tribute. Highly recommended:

Thanks Jeff...
He is very good.
Kenny used to play with Christian Metal band Stryper:

His story is quite remarkable:
He might still be standing, but I bet he’s walking funny also.
He is a great talent.
added that one to my phone last week
Ahhh, the Greek Theater....
When my wife and I were just married, we moved from Ohio & eventually found an apt in Hollywood.
We went to a couple of concerts at the Greek including seeing Jerry Lewis there.
It was/is a stunning venue for a concert!
He’s great on the piano, but he sucks on the organ.
Yes, the video was camp, but that was most 1980s video. As per wiki:
“I’m Still Standing” is a song by British rock musician Elton John, from his Platinum-certified 1983 album, Too Low for Zero. Elton said this was “my reaction to still being relevant and successful in the early 1980s, post-Punk and with the New-Romantics creeping in.”
The crazy thing is that 35 years later he is truly still standing as a relevant popular performer and producer.
Sir Elton John is a gifted artist - he never hid his “propensity for homosexuality” but I don’t recall him ever jumping into the activist arena - I like his music.

Elton John......Greek.....
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
I can’t help it.
Hahahahahahaha!!
You’re right. That was a big budget production for a video back in the day. You just know that dance troupe had a great time down there in Australia or whatever the location was. They probably tell stories about the shoot to this day.
Shot on celluloid so every take was expensive. You couldn’t just clear the memory and do it again. Every take mattered, which is part of why it has such a stagey, choreographed feel. The switch to digital has made everything looser.
