A 5-year-old girl was wounded in the weekend's first shooting, which happened about 8 p.m. Friday. She was on a sidewalk with a 34-year-old woman when someone walked out of an alley and opened fire, striking the girl in the foot and the woman in the left ankle. A man attacked a Metrobus driver with a weapon and hijacked his bus Tuesday morning, D.C. police said. The bus then struck a pedestrian, who later died.
