Seven people were killed and at least 32 others - including a 5-year-old girl - have been wounded in shootings across Chicago since Friday night.
A 5-year-old girl was wounded in the weekend's first shooting, which happened about 8 p.m. Friday. She was on a sidewalk with a 34-year-old woman when someone walked out of an alley and opened fire, striking the girl in the foot and the woman in the left ankle.
The woman drove them to St. Bernard Hospital, where the woman's condition was stabilized. The girl was transferred to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, police said. It was unclear if they were the targets of the shooting.
Early Sunday, two men, ages 34 and 42, were slain on a Brainerd neighborhood porch on the South Side. Officers responding at 1:13 a.m. to a call of shots fired in the 9000 block of South Marshfield found them dead, one shot in the head and the other in the neck, police said.

But, it’s just another Chicago weekend
Over two thousand people, mostly young minorities have been slaughtered in Chicago. Chicago is ostensibly Obama’s home town. At least Herbert Hoover deployed Federal resources to stem the violence when the local politicians and police were either too corrupt or inept to stop the violence. Obama has done nothing. So much for his “home town”. It underscores just how much he resents and despises that which he “leads”.
Nothing will ever change in Chicago. That city is a mess. Violence in those neighborhoods, day after day. Mayor Emanuel will probably be reelected anyway in 2019, or he’ll resign. Where are the BLM activists? Oh wait, they think that “black on black crime” is a myth. Some leftists believe that Rahm Emanuel is a right wing Democrat anyway.
