The smoke of burning buildings, trash and even one unfortunate police officer perfumed the air on May Day in France. It’s officially springtime in Paris, but whether the promise of a new harvest will bear any ripe fruit for President Emmanuel Macron remains doubtful as the revolt against his neo-liberal regime continues to rage. As people across Europe danced around the Maypole to mark the coming of Spring after another harsh winter mired by economic deprivation, the people of France did their own form of traditional dance, that of rioting against an out-of-touch government behind the walls of a palace....

The case is called McInnish-Goode-v-Chapman. What is interesting about this case is that newly elected Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court is Roy Moore. In the past, he has expressed doubts of where Obama was born. Also interesting is that another Alabama Supreme Court Justice named Tom Parker has gone on record arguing that McInnish’s charges of “forgery” on Obama's 'Short Form' birth certificate and 'Long Form' birth certificate were legitimate cause for concern mainly due to Sheriff Joe Arpaio's Maricopa County Sheriff Office investigation conclusions. Justice Parker wrote on March 27, 2012: "Mclnnish has attached certain documentation to...

Many cases challenging Barack Obama’s presidential eligibility have come and gone, but now an appeal has been filed with a state Supreme Court led by a newly elected chief justice who has expressed doubt about Obama’s qualification for office. Roy Moore was elected chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court last November, a decade after he defied a federal order to remove a Ten Commandments monument from the state Supreme Court building. Now, 2012 Constitution Party presidential nominee Virgil Goode and Alabama Republican Party leader Hugh McInnish are asking the state’s highest court to force Secretary of State Beth Chapman...

Dear Mr. Ballantyne: Thank you for contacting me about the citizenship requirements for the office of President of the United States. I appreciate knowing your views on this issue. As you may know, Section 1 of Article Two of the United States Constitution sets forth the eligibility requirements for serving as President of the United States: “No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have...

NEW YORK – While prosecutors are making no allegations against Barack Obama in the massive criminal complaint unsealed yesterday against Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, a separate civil case in Chicago asserts the president-elect benefited from a shady land deal orchestrated by convicted felon Antonin "Tony" Rezko.

Sweet catch by Tapper, showing why he got that promotion. Obama today…“I had no contact with the governor or his office and so I was not aware of what was happening, ” Obama told reporters today in Chicago. “It’s a sad day for Illinois. Beyond that, I don’t think it’s appropriate to comment.” …versus Axelrod on November 23, as seen below. Be sure to read Tapper’s post, as he has plenty more on The One’s long history as a friend of — and advisor to — Blago. Axelrod himself begged off Blagojevich’s first gubernatorial campaign because “I was concerned about...

Let's name names, shall we. Out of control, partisan, ignorant, incompetent fools responsible for the country's financial meltdown. Via Hot Air, here is the video with transcripts of these morons. Throughout the video, Republicans are pointing out the mismanagement and malfeasance of Franklin Raines and the instability of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and are positively begging for more regulation and oversight. The Democrats stopped them cold.

PARIS, France (CNN) -- Violence in France appeared to be on the decline as officials toughened their stance against rioters and threatened to deport any foreigners convicted of involvement. Vehicle torchings continued overnight as the unrest stretched into a 14th night. But the number of arson attacks dropped again, with 482 vehicles burned compared with 617 the night before, The Associated Press reported. The reduction "is an encouraging sign that does not, however, diminish the police effort," AP quoted national police spokesman Patrick Hamon as saying. The number of vehicles destroyed has fallen each night since Sunday's high point of...

Statement of Ambassador Joseph Wilson, wife of CIA agent Valerie Plame, regarding the indictment by the Grand Jury of I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby: The five count indictment issued by the grand jury today is an important step in the criminal justice process that began more than two years ago. I commend Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald for his professionalism, for his diligence, and for his courage. There will be many opportunities in the future to comment on the events that led to today's indictment. And, it appears that there will be further developments before the grand jury. Whatever the final outcome...

<p>"We have double sourced that the vice president's chief of staff has been indicted," a reporter for ABCNEWS claimed to a White House press spokesman this afternoon.</p>

The former diplomat whose criticism of White House war policy touched off a nationwide political and journalistic debate will speak in Tallahassee today. Joseph Wilson, the husband of CIA operative Valerie Plame, is the featured speaker for a noon meeting of the Capital Tiger Bay Club at the Silver Slipper. Members of the political and business luncheon group can bring guests for $25 per person. Wilson, the last American envoy to Iraq before the Gulf War, was sent to Niger in February 2002 to find out whether Saddam Hussein had tried to buy uranium for a nuclear program. Wilson later...

The man at the center of the storm over whether the White House leaked the name of his CIA-analyst-wife to the press swore vengeance against the Bush administration just one month ago, telling a Seattle audience that he'd wanted to "to see whether or not we can get Karl Rove frog-marched out of the White House in handcuffs." With the Washington Post doing his dirty work on Sunday, former ambassador to Iraq, Joseph Wilson seems to be gathering a few allies in his mission, with Democrats like Sen. Charles Schumer proclaiming yesterday, "Whoever [leaked Wilson's wife's name] should go...
